Pakistan extends airspace ban for Indian aircraft till September 23
Synopsis Pakistan has prolonged its airspace ban for Indian aircraft until September 23, as announced by the Pakistan Airports Authority through a new NOTAM. This restriction, initially imposed on April 23 due to heightened tensions after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, prohibits Indian airlines and aircraft from using Pakistani airspace. India had previously responded with a reciprocal airspace closure for Pakistani aircraft. ANI Representational image Pakistan authorities on Wednesday extended its airspace ban for Indian aircraft till September 23. The Pakistan Airports Authority has issued a fresh NOTAM (notice to airmen) announcing the one-month extension of the restriction on Indian aircraft in Pakistan's airspace. "All aircraft operated by Indian airlines will not be allowed to use Pakistani airspace. The ban also remains in place for military and civilian aircraft that are Indian-owned or leased," the authority said. The ban was initially imposed on April 23 for one month in the wake of tension between the two countries following the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The move barred Indian carriers and aircraft from flying over Pakistani territory. Days later, on April 30, India responded with a reciprocal airspace closure for Pakistani aircraft and airlines. The tit-for-tat restrictions were first extended on May 23.

Afghanistan, China, Pakistan hold 6th meeting of foreign ministers in Kabul
Kabul [Afghanistan], August 20 (ANI): Afghanistan's foreign minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi alon with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi and Pakistan's Mohammad Ishaq Dar held the sixth meeting of the foreign ministers' dialogue in Kabul on the meeting, the foreign ministers reviewed the decisions made in previous meetings and discussed ways to strengthen relations between the three countries. During the meeting, discussions were held on the expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various Afghan foreign minister described the bilateral relations between Afghanistan and China as 'progressing and considered China a good trading partner for Afghanistan, with the annual trade exchange between the two countries reaching one billion dollars."In a post on X, the Afghan foreign ministry wrote, 'The trade volume between the two countries has risen to a significant level."'Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi presented his practical proposals regarding the expansion of economic cooperation between Afghanistan and China, particularly in the areas of transportation cooperation, banking relations, and balancing trade, and made a request," the post further described the relations between the two countries as 'progressing and considered the expansion of cooperation in various fields noteworthy." Wang Yi said that the relevant institutions of both countries are working to further increase Afghanistan's exports to China, according to the Afghan foreign ministry. (ANI)

12000 trains to be operated during Diwali, Chhath in Bihar: Ashwini Vaishnaw
New Delhi [India], August 20 (ANI): Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Wednesday announced that 12,000 trains will be operated for Bihar on the occasion of Diwali and Chhath festivals. This announcement comes after he held discussions with the Bihar NDA leaders. Four Amrit Bharat trains will be launched to connect Delhi and Gaya, Saharsa to Amritsar, Chhapra to Delhi and Muzaffarpur to Hyderabad, the railway minister said, adding that a Vande Bharat train will be started between Purnia and Patna. 'It was decided that 12,000 special trains will be run for the upcoming Diwali and Chhath festivals. 12,000 special trains so that passengers do not face any kind of inconvenience on these two big festivals… Those who will travel between 13th and 26th October and return between 17th November and 1st December will be given confirmed tickets, and a 20% discount will be given on the return journey. This experiment is also being done during this festival season," Vaishnaw a post on X, Vaishnaw said that a special Buddha Circuit Train will be launched from Vaishali to Koderma, connecting key heritage destinations related to Lord today, Vaishnaw said that the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, passed by the Lok Sabha, is a significant bill aimed at regulating online gaming, recognising its growing importance in the digital sector. 'The bill identifies three segments within online gaming," the minister told reporters after the passage of the Bill in the Lok Minister said that E-sports are rapidly gaining prominence and will receive legal recognition. Online social games, which are played without monetary stakes are also to be promoted for family and friendly interaction.'Online money games, which have become a major societal concern due to addiction and financial losses, leading to extreme cases, including suicides," the minister said. The World Health Organization has classified this as a public health issue termed 'online gaming disorder", the minister said.
