8. Shuttering had a number of trials before debuting in the Inglis Challenge at Scone and running an even race when finishing fifth. She was only beaten 3.5 lengths in that event and should have derived benefit from the experience. 2. Swexan is a stablemate of Shuttering that is on debut here. He has had two trials to be fitted for this and bears close watching. 7. Sapphire Rose debuts here. She won a trial in November and has since had another two trials leading into this and has been placed in each. She's drawn well and looks primed to run well. 1. Golden Straand is a Snitzel colt on debut that has had three recent trials and finished second in the latest two. He looks set to run well.

Race 2
10. Rainbow Goddess had good form at the end of her last preparation being placed in three of four before the break. She had two trials and ran well in both before resuming with a second at Hawkesbury. She will be better for that run and has the advantage of gate one here. 1. Inncourt is an import having his first Australian start. He is a recent trial winner that is set to run well fresh. 3. Prince Harrison won a Warwick Farm trial before resuming with a midfield Kembla Grange effort and he can show up in this. 9. Oakfield Zena was placed two starts ago and can lift on a last start failure.

Race 3
1. Harlex resumed from a spell with a dominant Newcastle victory then stepped up in grade and ran well when fourth at Scone during the carnival there. He's drawn to get the run of the race here and can bounce back. 2. Pratt was first-up when scoring easily at Newcastle last time out and bears close watching again. 4. Explosive Torpido has performed well in both runs back from a spell and is one of the chances again, while 5. Estephania failed to beat a runner home when resuming but strips fitter for this.

Race 4
4. Diamond Show settled back in the field but once finding clear running in the straight hit the line well to score a strong win at Hawkesbury when last produced and she can go on with the job. 5. Twilight Elegance resumed with a Kembla Grange win and is worth including among the chances. 3. Iceman hit the line well late for a last start third and only needs to repeat that effort. 6. November Air has been racing well with a Canberra win before two recent minor placings.

Australian heavyweight Justis Huni's valiant bid for the WBA Interim world title has been ended by devastating 10th-round knockout to rising English star Fabio Wardley. But it was then that Wardley somehow pulled out a stunning right-hand from absolutely nowhere, forcing an astonishing KO and sending his relieved fans into wild celebrations. "That's my curse. I even said before this fight it only takes one second to switch off, it happened tonight," Hunis told DAZN. "I'm grateful to Fabio and his team and to Ipswich to be able to perform in front of you. Get behind him, he's going to do great things. "He's just an awesome fighter. He never gave up and he got the win, he deserves it. Thank you Ipswich for the opportunity to perform here, I'm grateful." Wardley, whose win will boost his WBA ranking with the sanctioning body, was keen to praise the previously unbeaten Aussie for his performance. "I don't profess to being any Usyk or Justis Huni who has all the skills, but I know how to win fights and that's one thing I knew I had to do tonight," Wardley said in the ring. "Justis Huni is a great operator. We'd drilled everything over and over again. I should've performed better in some of those rounds. "He's a great boxer, some great skills and he showed me everything he had tonight. I didn't expect to bank rounds like that with Justis. I hurt him a bit in the first round and maybe I had too much confidence early on."

Aussie heavyweight Justis Huni knocked out by Fabio Wardley in interim WBA world title fight
Australian heavyweight Justis Huni has suffered a shock first defeat of his career after being knocked out in the 10th round of a world title fight he had dominated. The 26-year-old turned the tables after entering as a heavy underdog against local favourite Fabio Wardley in England — but it was the Briton who claimed the interim WBA belt in a stunning finish. Huni stepped forward halfway through the 10th round only for Wardley, who was surely sensing that he was down on the scorecards and about to lose for the first time in his career, to fire back and send the Australian tumbling to the canvas. Huni returned to his feet after the shot — but at that moment the referee counted him out and called the fight. 'That is unbelievable,' the commentator screamed. 'Fabio Wardley, losing virtually every single round — oh my word.' Huni accepted the fight on barely one month's notice after Jarrell Miller was injured. Since beating Kevin Lerena, who was 30-2, last March, Huni has benched father and mentor Rocki and embraced the full-time return of coach Mark Wilson. He has also overhauled his diet, surgically repaired his arm and notched three convincing domestic victories. But Saturday night (Sunday morning AEST) proved a setback, with Huni now forced to watch Wardley move on and chase the undisputed title. Huni's loss came just hours before stablemate Jai Opetaia defends his cruiserweight world title belts on the Gold Coast.
