Sainsbury's announces major addition to six stores in UK first

Sainsbury's has announced a major new addition coming to its stores, as part of a new partnership between them and Royal Mail.
The supermarket will be rolling out Royal Mail parcel points across its UK stores as part of the new collaboration - with six stores having already received the new lockers.
The six stores which have already received Royal Mail parcel points include Sainsbury's stores in Clapham, Desborough, Kempshott, Low Hall, Kidderminster and Chislehurst.

The Royal Mail lockers will offer Sainsbury's shoppers a convenient place to drop-off parcels whilst doing their normal shop.
On the new initiative, Patrick Dunne, Chief Property and Procurement Officer for Sainsbury's, said: 'At Sainsbury's we're always looking for innovative ways to deliver the best value, quality and service for our customers.
'That's why we're delighted to be partnering with Royal Mail to offer this fantastic new proposition at our stores.'
With six parcel points already in place and more on the way, Sainsbury's is the first supermarket chain to partner with Royal Mail to introduce the parcel lockers to their stores.
The new roll-out is part of Royal Mail's plans to make it more convenient for customers to collect and drop-off parcels.
Jack Clarkson, Group Strategy and Transformation Director at Royal Mail, said: 'Due to the relentless growth in online shopping and second-hand marketplaces, there is increased demand from our customers for more parcel drop off and collection points.
'To meet our goal of making sending and receiving parcels as easy as possible, we must considerably expand our network.'
In December, last year, Royal Mail launched their locker network to give customers more convenient access to drop-off and collect parcels as the number of second-hand marketplace sellers continues to grow.
As part of these plans, Royal Mail currently has a network of more than 1,500 lockers and 7,000 Collect+ stores for customers to use.
On Royal Mail's partnership with Sainsbury's Mr Clarkson added: 'Partnering with a retailer with the scale and popularity of Sainsbury's is great news for our customers and the UK public, who will now have even more ways to drop off and collect their parcels in convenient locations.'
The smart lockers will also offer customers the opportunity to print out a label for their parcel. Customers looking to do this will have to pay for postage online and scan a QR code to print a label at the locker.
Prices for using the lockers start at £1.55 for a small parcel that fits through the letterbox.
