Jonathan Anderson has shared a glimpse of his upcoming debut menswear collection for Dior, with teaser videos featuring French soccer star Kylian Mbappé. The clips, posted on social media, give a first look at the highly anticipated Dior Spring 2026 menswear collection, set to debut on Friday at 2:30 p.m. during Paris Men's Fashion Week.
The videos feature Mbappé, the Real Madrid forward and 2018 World Cup champion, wearing two distinct looks. In one clip, he adjusts a red-and-blue striped tie over a blue-and-white striped shirt, paired with a gray herringbone wool jacket. In another, Mbappé sports a classic black tuxedo with a white shirt and a loosely tied black bow tie. The teaser videos are set to Schubert's Unfinished Symphony, adding a timeless elegance to the visuals.
Anderson, who is known for his bold and eclectic fashion choices, highlighted Mbappé as the perfect ambassador for Dior. "Kylian Mbappé is the voice of a generation," Anderson stated, praising the athlete's influence on both the sports world and beyond.
Mbappé has been a global ambassador for Dior since 2021, representing the brand's ready-to-wear collections and Sauvage fragrance. His collaboration with the French fashion house follows Louis Vuitton's announcement that it will dress Real Madrid players, including Mbappé, for major events. Anderson's debut collection promises to offer a more conservative direction compared to his previous avant-garde designs at Loewe.

Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at Al Nassr until 2027

RIYADH: Cristiano Ronaldo inked a two-year extension with Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr, the club announced Thursday, following months of speculation over which team he would sign for next season. 'Cristiano Ronaldo is staying at @AlNassrFC until 2027,' the club wrote in a post on X. Minutes before the official confirmation, the team posted a teaser video, with the 40-year-old Ronaldo walking along a beachfront and saying: 'Al Nassr forever'. The Portuguese superstar arrived in 2023 in the kingdom to play with the club, heralding a rush of players in the latter stages of their careers to the oil-rich country. Last month, Ronaldo posted 'This chapter is over' hours after the Saudi Pro League wrapped up with Al Nassr finishing third and trophyless once again. 'Ronaldo's presence is a key factor in developing the Saudi league in the last two years and a half. He opens the door for elite and young players to come to Saudi Arabia,' a source from the Public Investment Fund (PIF), a major investor in Saudi football, told AFP last month. The oil-funded PIF, the sovereign wealth fund behind a number of big-ticket Saudi investments, controls a group of Pro League clubs including Al Nassr, Al Hilal and Al Ahli. Portugal's emotional Ronaldo rejoices in winning Nations League Ronaldo's announcement in May came just months after Brazilian star Neymar ended his injury-plagued 18-month stay in January, after playing just seven times for Al Hilal – on a reported salary of around $104 million a year. Although Ronaldo was the Pro League's top scorer with 25 goals, he has been unable to win a Saudi or continental trophy with Al Nassr, who lost in the Asian Champions League semi-finals last month. Last year, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner said he could end his career with Al Nassr, the Riyadh team favoured by a number of Saudi royals. Saudi Arabia has shaken up football by spending heavily on stars from Europe, starting with Ronaldo's move in late 2022, and the desert nation will host the World Cup in 2034. For the past two years, Saudi football fans could watch the likes of Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, with six Ballons d'Or between them, on any given weekend during the football season in the kingdom. However, the oil-fuelled Saudi football project has drawn comparisons with the Chinese Super League, which imported players on exorbitant salaries until team owners went bust as the Chinese economy fizzled. But with Saudi Arabia set to host the 2034 World Cup, and desperate to re-model itself as a tourism and business magnet before global oil demand falls for good, there is probably more to come from the Pro League. Ronaldo appeared to trade an end-of-career payday for football obscurity when he first moved to Riyadh's Al Nassr two years ago in a deal said to be worth $250 million at the time.

Thalia Besson returns to 'Emily in Paris' as filming begins on Season 5

Production is officially underway on Season 5 of Emily in Paris, and one familiar face is making a comeback. Thalia Besson, who stirred up trouble as Geneviève in the previous season, is set to reprise her role in the upcoming installment of the Netflix hit, according to Variety. Besson, daughter of acclaimed French filmmaker Luc Besson, plays Geneviève - a sleek, cunning NYU graduate who shook things up at Agence Grateau last season. Introduced as Emily's mentee, Geneviève quickly revealed ulterior motives by pursuing her mentor's clients and even making a move on Emily's boyfriend, Gabriel. Her return places her alongside returning cast members including Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc, William Abadie as Antoine, and Ashley Park as Mindy. Also back are Emily's love interests - Lucas Bravo's Gabriel, Lucien Laviscount's Alfie, and Eugenio Franceschini as Marcello, the Italian businessman introduced in Season 4. Filming for the new season began last month in Rome, with the cast now continuing in Paris. The plot picks up just days after the Season 4 finale, which ended on a cliffhanger as Gabriel turned up unannounced at Emily's new apartment in Rome, determined to win her back. Season 5 will follow Emily as she adjusts to life in the Italian capital, where she's tasked with launching Agence Grateau's new branch while exploring a fresh romance with Marcello. But with Geneviève back in the picture and known for stirring the pot the stage is set for even more drama, jealousy, and couture-fueled chaos.

Pharrell Williams' Louis Vuitton show dazzles with retro tailoring and Indian-inspired designs

Pharrell Williams's latest Louis Vuitton show at Paris Fashion Week was worth the wait, despite some initial frustrations over its delayed 9 pm start time. The rescheduling, initially met with collective sighs, was quickly forgiven when news broke that Beyoncé and Jay-Z would attend the event, alongside other high-profile figures such as Omar Sy, Steve McQueen, Spike Lee, and Victor Wembanyama. The spring-summer 2026 collection, Williams's most impressive yet since becoming the brand's creative director of menswear in 2023, featured retro tailoring with unique combinations, such as cargo pants paired with shrunken sweaters. The collection showcased the luxury brand's latest tactic of transforming everyday items into premium versions, including striped polo shirts and boxy work shirts, all crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Titled Paris to India, the collection drew inspiration from modern Indian sartorialism. The influence was visible in the ornate decorations on some of the trunks carried by models and a set designed by Bijoy Jain, featuring a giant hand-painted rendering of snakes and ladders, a traditional Indian game. The soundtrack included a Punjabi track co-produced by AR Rahman, adding another layer of Indian cultural influence. While the collaboration with Indian creatives offered an authentic cultural voice, some critics raised concerns over more reductive elements, such as embroidered exotic animals, which seemed to draw from past Louis Vuitton designs created for Wes Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited. However, the collection's playful references to modern-day India, like cricket-themed striped ties and camping backpacks, added a relevant and fresh twist. Despite some controversy surrounding Williams's work, including criticism over the symbolic placement of the Louis Vuitton logo on Doechii's cheek and the use of luxury materials, Louis Vuitton remains optimistic that Williams's star power and pop-culture-driven designs will continue to drive sales. (Louis Vuitton and LVMH are under pressure, with the group's fashion and leather goods divisions reporting a decline in revenue during the first quarter of 2025.)
