Body found in search for missing teenager Mylo Capilla
A body has been found during the search for a missing 13-year-old boy believed to have entered the River Tees.
Mylo Capilla was last seen at around 9pm on Thursday in an area known as the Muddies in Ingleby Barwick, Teesside.
Cleveland Police launched a major search operation on Friday as dozens of emergency service personnel joined the efforts to find the missing teenager.
A force spokesman confirmed in a statement published on Friday evening that the body of a boy has been found.
Mylo's parents have been informed by the police as investigations continue into the death.
A spokesperson for the force said: 'Very sadly, police and partner agencies searching the river for 13-year-old Mylo Capilla at Ingleby Barwick have found the body of a boy.
'Whilst formal identification has yet to take place, Mylo's parents have been informed and they continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
'All our thoughts are with Mylo's family and friends as well as with the wider community at this extremely difficult time.'
Cleveland Police previously said Mylo was believed to have gone with his friend to the river near to Ramsey Gardens and entered the water.
More than 12 hours after the alarm was raised, the police helicopter continued to fly over a short span of the Tees.
A police cordon was in place in Ramsey Gardens, around 200 metres from the river, to keep the public away from the search area.
Cleveland Fire and Rescue Service was also on the scene.
One local said the Muddies was a large area stretching along the riverbank and was a known place for children and young people to play.

Wilson also admitted to three counts of making an indecent photograph of a child relating to category A, B and C images. As part of his sentence, Wilson was handed a sexual harm prevention order and a notification order for ten years. He was made the subject of a restraining order indefinitely. Wilson was ordered to forfeit the internet tampering device and mobile phone to police as well as pay a victim surcharge of £228. An officer who lead the case from Lichfield local policing team, said: 'Wilson's conviction and sentence sends a clear message that those who engage in such disturbing and harmful behaviour will be prosecuted and brought to justice. "The safety and wellbeing of our community is our absolute priority, and we remain committed to protecting residents from those who pose a threat - whether through stalking or any other form of abuse. "We continue to work closely with partner agencies to support victims and ensure Lichfield remains a safe place for everyone.'

Mylo's father Dan Capilla, 43, previously said he felt 'numb' and 'helpless' as the search for his son continued. He was alerted to the 13-year-old's disappearance shortly after 9pm on Thursday, after Mylo's mum - who he is separated from - raised the alarm. 'I feel numb, I feel helpess,' he told Teesside Live. 'I've just been walking around again there searching - I just don't know what to do.' Dan, a design engineer, said he last saw Mylo at 4pm on Thursday when he called into his Ingleby home with a pal just to say hello. He said: 'He just called in to say hi with his friend while they were playing out. He gave me a big hug and said 'love you' and was playing with the dog. Then he left.' A body has been found in the search for a missing woman who vanished in Coventry after visiting a food bank. Reanne Coulson, 34, disappeared in May and police were called after she failed to make contact with her family on June 17, her birthday. She was last seen on May 21 leaving a food bank on Raglan Street, in the centre of Coventry. investigating officers from West Midlands Police looking for the woman found a body in Binley Woods, a town on the outskirts on Coventry, on Friday. Though formal identification is yet to happen, Reanne's family have been informed. The force said that 42-year-old Mohammed Durnion has been charged with murder, following his arrest, in connection with her disappearance. Another man, 38-year-old Adam Moore, has been charged with assisting an offender. Both men are set to appear before Coventry Magistrates Court on June 28. Detective Superintendent Jim Munro, from the force's major crime unit, said: 'We've been focussed on doing all we can to find Reanne and our thoughts remain with her family at this deeply distressing time. 'While formal identification still needs to take place we do believe it is Reanne. 'We've charged a man with murder, and another for assisting an offender, but our enquiries to establish exactly what happened and why are ongoing.
