Italy legend Francesco Totti rolled back the years by scoring a jaw-dropping goal from the halfway line during a match - leading to a standing ovation.
Totti, now aged 48, proved he still has the same magic that saw him bag over 300 goals for both club and country as he put on a show on Sunday.
Taking part in an amateur game organised by Operazione Nostalgia, Totti received the ball in midfield before controlling with his heel and glancing up at goal.
Noticing goalkeeper Sebastien Frey had strayed slightly from his line, the veteran unleashed a volley which whistled up into the air before dropping into the net.
Frey, 45, did not cover himself in glory as he backpedalled slowly and spilled the ball, but Totti soaked up the acclaim from his team-mates all the same.
The thousands of supporters at the Stadio Ennio Tardini rose to their feet to applaud the audacious effort, seemingly in disbelief at what they had just witnessed.
Totti retired from playing eight years ago after spending his entire career with his boyhood club Roma but has often joked he could still perform at a high level.
He even revealed a Serie A side, believed to be Cesc Fabregas' Como, recently tried to coax him back on a deal until the end of the season - but he declined.
Insisting he is seriously weighing up a comeback, Totti said: 'No, it's not a joke. I took it a bit seriously, so let's see. There are one or two teams who have asked about me.
'Let's see what my head tells me, but above all my body. Let's see how it reacts. My head already knows the answer. Who knows what next year will bring.'
The Operation Nostalgia match incredibly finished 7-7.

The eyes of the world will inevitably be on Venice later this month when financial colossus Jeff Bezos marries fiancee Lauren Sanchez. Everyone in the Italian city is expecting a staggering display of wealth from Amazon-founder Bezos, with money to burn, and Ms Sanchez, who looks like she enjoys lighting the match. And yet, despite the huge wealth and profile of the couple and their celebrity guests, it can be revealed that this will be a publicity-shy and surprisingly small event. Modest, even. With fewer than 200 guests – a fraction of what was expected – and a final bill which is said to be less than £10million, it is clear that the bride and groom are dialling down on the bling. As an impeccably placed source tells me: 'The wedding has had a make-under.' Indeed, the event is going to cost the equivalent of loose change for the groom, who is worth $220billion and spends $34million a year just to run his yacht – the $500 million Koru. The yacht will be moored at San Basilio – the closest the giant vessel can get to the centre of Venice due to regulations to protect the city's fragile ecosystem – and be in sight of the Hotel Cipriani, where many guests will be lodged. It's thought Jeff, Lauren and their immediate families will stay on the nine-bedroom yacht. Other guests will be split between the Cipriani and Aman hotels nearby. The only famous couple definitely going are actor Orlando Bloom and his wife Katy Perry. Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian are invited, but their attendance has not been confirmed. Instead, the guests of honour will be Bezos' mum, Jackie, who had Jeff when she was 17, and his adoptive father and life-long inspiration, Mike Bezos. The island of San Giorgio Maggiore will potentially be the destination for the couple's nuptials The couple loaned him $245,000, their life savings, to start Amazon in 1995 and Mike, who now runs the Bezos family foundation, is a particularly impressive individual, having emigrated to the US alone from Cuba aged 16. 'They understand that the space flight criticism was bad for a reason and are responding to it by being less 'Marie Antoinette'.' The source adds: 'People really underestimate Lauren and Jeff. Truly, they are good people. They don't want the wedding to be a lightning rod for inequities in the world. It's just a wedding.' That's as maybe, but the celebrations are still expected to take place at jaw-droppingly beautiful – and exclusive – locations. Sources in Venice believe the nuptials will happen at the Fondazione Cini – a monastery on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. Crucially, it will be free on June 25 – the most likely day of the wedding – as it is closed to the public on Wednesdays. Having twice hosted the G7 summit, it can offer complete security and privacy and is close to where the Koru will dock. Sources also expect celebrations at the palazzo apartment owned by Bezos' close friend Diane von Furstenberg. Local sources indicate that all 79 rooms of the fabled Hotel Cipriani have been block booked from June 24-26. A suite in high season costs around £20,000 a night. The Cipriani boasts the largest swimming pool in Venice and the Casanova gardens, where the infamous seducer used to meet his conquests. The couple are also believed to have booked out the Aman Canal Grande, the 24-bedroom palazzo where George Clooney tied the knot with lawyer Amal in 2014. Plans are being co-ordinated with the mayor of Venice's office to minimise disruption but some locals concerned about overtourism are planning protests. 'This city is not for sale, it is not a playground for the rich,' said activist Ruggero Tallon.

The pregnant 27-year-old smiles and stops to do some window shopping in her hometown while her doting boyfriend walks beside her. Few passersby would realise that this glowing mother-to-be is the daughter of one of the most famous men in Britain - while her boyfriend is a top footballer. 'She has no airs and graces,' a former St John's School pal told the MailOnline. 'Her father is a massive star, but Molly is pretty down to earth and humble.' The Molly they are referring to is Molly Moorish, daughter of Oasis legend Liam Gallagher and singer Lisa Moorish. Last week, she announced she was expecting her first child with partner and Liverpool footballer Nat Phillips, 28, three years after confirming their romance. It will make rockstar father-of-four Liam, 52, a grandad for the first time. It also comes seven years after Molly and Liam were reunited after almost two decades of estrangement. But Molly, described by the school pal as of the sweetest girls they've met, has never been one to boast of her famous connections. 'I can't say I ever talked to her about her dad,' the pal said, adding she is the total opposite of her hellraiser father. 'She was very nice, very popular even without mentioning her parents. 'She was also a massive Liverpool fan, so her and Nat are a match-made in heaven'. Up until their 2018 reunion, Molly publicly praised her maternal grandfather as her 'father' posting heartfelt social media posts describing him as 'my fav man' and gushing: 'Happy Father's Day grandad.' However, in December 2000, following his divorce from Kensit, it emerged that Liam was paying £2,000-a month in child maintenance. 'She knows where I am and I'm there for her if she needs anything, like I have been since she was born, financially. I know it's not about that but it's better than nothing.'
