Food Pharmer To Launch A Health-Focused Brand OWN - Only What's Needed

Revant Himatsingka will be first sold online through his website, quick commerce platforms and major e-commerce sites like Amazon and Flipkart.
Revant Himatsingka aka Food Pharmer, is a popular social media influencer who is known for calling out misleading food labels and unhealthy ingredients hidden in everyday products. Now, he is stepping into the business himself with a clean-label brand built with help from the same followers who made him famous. In a recent interview, the influencer explained that he wants to shift from just highlighting problems to actually offering solutions.
'One of the biggest concerns my followers point out is that my content is more problem-focused. Nine out of my 10 videos will probably say that a particular product has a problem or is being advertised incorrectly. I want to go from being problem-oriented to solution-oriented, giving more alternatives to people, telling what they can potentially eat," Revant told Moneycontrol.
Revant is now launching his range of clean-label foods. He said the idea came directly from his community. His first product launch is a whey protein for which a soft launch is planned for June followed by a full launch in July.
According to Revant, this wasn't a random decision. 'It was people who decided what product I should launch. They are also suggesting the ingredients," he told the outlet.
The product will be sold under the brand name Only What's Needed (OWN), a title chosen based on suggestions from his online community. Revant had initially considered naming it Take Charge, but his followers weren't on board with the idea.
'Most companies add unnecessary and often harmful ingredients. We're doing the opposite — including only what's truly needed. That way, you're taking ownership of your health because you're making a conscious choice — it's your product," he explained.
For production, Revant has partnered with a manufacturing unit in Tirupati. 'They're also investing some funds, which should cover our needs for at least the first six months. After that, we'll assess the response and consider raising more capital if needed," he said.
The product will first be sold online through his website, quick commerce platforms and major e-commerce sites like Amazon and Flipkart. There are no offline plans right now. He said offline retail needs a different kind of expertise, which he and his team don't have at the moment.
Revant further admitted that the product won't be cheap because of the quality of the ingredients that will be used. But he wants to keep it reasonably priced by cutting down on ad expenses.
'Most companies spend insane amounts on ads. If I can cut down the advertising budget by 20–30 per cent and pass that on to customers, then we can be cheaper," he explained.
Even as he starts his business, the influencer said that most of his earnings still come from public talks, which he does occasionally.
'Monetisation from the food brand is a long-term thing. You don't get money even in the first three years," he said about food businesses.
In addition to launching OWN, he is introducing something called 'Food Pharmer Approved.'
'I will approve brands which I think are authentic. This can potentially expand beyond packaged foods, like approving a healthy restaurant. 'Food Pharmer Approved' will be like a symbol or a certification," he said.
Although he initially wanted to go for lab-tested certification, the cost and time made it difficult. For now, the approval will be based on reviewing ingredients. He also plans to add a disclaimer saying the products haven't been lab-tested.

This ensures the inverter can handle the heavy load of multiple appliances simultaneously, including air conditioning and other high energy devices. Should I choose a pure sine wave or square wave inverter for my villa? A pure sine wave inverter is highly recommended for large villas, especially if you use sensitive appliances like computers, televisions, or high-end electronics. It provides clean and stable power, unlike square wave inverters, which can damage sensitive devices over time. How many batteries do I need for an inverter in a large villa? The number of batteries required depends on your power backup needs. Typically, for large villas, 2 to 4 batteries (150Ah or higher) are ideal to ensure extended backup time, particularly during long power outages. What is the role of MPPT technology in inverters for large villas? Flipkart expands Northeast operations with new grocery fulfilment centre

E-commerce firm Flipkart has opened its first grocery fulfilment centre in Agartala, Tripura, marking a strategic expansion into Northeast India's fast-growing online grocery market. The new facility aims to improve last-mile delivery capabilities and offer flexible delivery slots, addressing rising consumer demand in Agartala and surrounding regions. The centre will stock more than 4,000 products, including staples such as rice, flour and pulses, as well as snacks, beverages, household supplies and personal care items. Flipkart said the assortment reflects consumer insights and includes several locally favoured brands to align with regional preferences. The move highlights Flipkart's push to deepen penetration in underserved markets, a key battleground for Indian e-commerce. The company continues to expand its supply chain infrastructure as demand for convenient, same-day delivery grows in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. 'Flipkart leverages its homegrown technology to keenly identify high-demand hotspots and address consumer needs for quality grocery products,' said Rajneesh Kumar, chief corporate affairs officer, Flipkart Group. 'As we continue to expand our footprint across the country, the new FC aligns with our commitment to strengthening partnerships with local farmers, MSMEs and other regional businesses.' Manik Saha, chief minister of Tripura, said this development marks an important step in enhancing the state's digital infrastructure and strengthening its supply chain capabilities. 'I am confident that this initiative will contribute meaningfully to local employment generation and skill development, empowering our youths and communities,' said Saha. Tripura is emerging as a key market for digital retail in the Northeast, with growing demand for e-grocery services. With its evolving consumer landscape and expanding digital footprint, the state presents a significant growth opportunity for Flipkart. By investing in Tripura's e-commerce infrastructure, Flipkart aims to bridge the digital divide, serve value-conscious customers beyond metros and support inclusive regional development. Spread over 35,000 square feet, the new facility has a dispatch capacity of more than 5,000 orders per day across Tripura as well as Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Nagaland. The FC will provide more than 200 direct and indirect job opportunities while unlocking market access for small businesses, MSMEs and local farmers. This launch is part of Flipkart's broader strategy to enhance serviceability in the Northeast while empowering local ecosystems through economic participation.

Amazon to revamp Fire tablets with Android in major Kittyhawk project

As part of a project known internally as Kittyhawk, Amazon plans to release a higher-end tablet as soon as next year offering the Android operating system software for the first time Reuters Amazon is plotting a big change to its Fire tablet lineup following years of escalating gripes from consumers and app developers over the company's homegrown operating system. As part of a project known internally as Kittyhawk, Amazon plans to release a higher-end tablet as soon as next year offering the Android operating system software for the first time, according to six people familiar with the matter. Since the Fire tablet introduction in 2011, Amazon has used what is known as a forked version of Android with custom modifications that make it work like a unique operating system. Amazon has long sought to undercut hardware rivals with inexpensive tablets and other devices that serve as a doorway to the firm's digital content, like e-books, videos and music. The devices have typically sold at or near manufacturing cost. But the focus on simplicity has held back sales, particularly among consumers who seek higher-performing devices. The multiyear project to switch to Android marks a philosophical change for the online retail giant, which has eschewed third-party operating systems and software in favor of its own. As a result, Amazon has offered its own app store requiring developers to make separate versions of their apps for Fire tablets, limiting the stores variety. If Kittyhawk is successful, Fire tablets could be more desirable for consumers who crave compatibility with other Android devices, the people said. They cautioned that Kittyhawk could be delayed or cancelled over financial or other concerns. Consumers have always expressed a concern about not having access to the latest Android versions, not having access to some of their apps because Amazon used their own store, said Jitesh Ubrani, a researcher at IT advisory firm IDC. It's meant more work for developers in this day and age of largely free apps or services. Ubrani noted that Amazon has nonetheless sold many millions of the tablets. Amazon has forfeited profits on the devices themselves in favor of making money on selling their associated services, like streaming movie rentals. But such inexpensive devices typically come with compromises like lower screen quality or battery life compared with pricier options. Amazon is the world's fourth-largest tablet seller, with 8 per cent of the market, just behind Lenovo's 8.2 per cent, according to second-quarter IDC data. Apple and Samsung were the market leaders with 33.1 per cent and 18.7 per cent, respectively. PRICIER TABLET The first Amazon Android tablet, slated for next year, will be pricier than current models, the people said. One of them said Amazon had discussed a $400 price tag, nearly double the cost of its current higher-end $230 Fire Max 11 tablet. IPads, by comparison, range from $350 to $1,200. Reuters could not learn additional specifications for the planned Amazon tablet, such as screen size and speaker quality or memory capacity. Amazon historically has avoided using software or other products from third parties, preferring to develop the services in-house or, barring that, to acquire a competitor. The Fire Phone smartphone championed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and released in 2014 failed to win over buyers in part because of its reliance on Fire OS, as well as its high price tag. Amazon canceled the device and took a $170 million writedown. But the Seattle retailer has more recently shown a willingness to use rivals services, particularly through its investment in startup Anthropic, whose Claude artificial intelligence software is the primary underpinning of Amazon’s Alexa+ voice assistant and a chatbot used by employees known as Cedric. The new Fire tablet, the people said, will use the open-source version of Android, meaning it does not require direct coordination with Google and can be customized. Amazon is planning to roll out some lower-priced tablets with its Linux-based Vega operating system now in some Fire TV devices, some of the people said. The full slate of tablets will eventually be powered by a version of Android, the people said. The Fire project's internal code name of Kittyhawk seems to derive from the North Carolina town near where the Wright brothers conducted the first powered flight in 1903. But it is also the name of a failed flying car startup backed by Google co-founder Larry Page that burned through hundreds of millions in cash. Amazon declined to discuss the meaning behind its Kittyhawk project name.
