This backs up an earlier rumor from May that suggested thewould see a slight bump in screen size, moving up from the 6.1 inches found on the iPhone 16 . If true, it would bring the standard iPhone more in line with the Pro model in terms of size, even though the quality of the display is still expected to differ between the two.
iPhone 16 lineup includes a 6.1-inch display on the base model, 6.3 inches on the Pro, 6.7 inches on the Plus, and 6.9 inches on the Pro Max. Based on what we know, the

It's important to note that while the size might be the same, the display panel on the
iPhone 17 Pro will likely be superior. Apple typically reserves features like higher refresh rates and brighter displays for its more expensive models. So even if the base
iPhone 17 matches the Pro in size, it probably won't look or perform the same when it comes to screen quality.
As for how users will feel about the change, that could vary. A 6.3-inch display may strike a good balance for those who want more screen without going too big. But people who prefer compact phones might not be as happy with the size increase. From our perspective, smaller screens are easier to use with one hand and more pocket-friendly, so a jump in size could take some adjustment.
Still, this possible change could be part of Apple's effort to bring more consistency across its product lineup. Case makers like Spigen sometimes reveal this kind of detail before Apple does, but we'll have to wait for the official announcement later this year to know for sure.

T-Mobile's 5G strategy Connectivity intelligence company Ookla concluded after conducting an expansive test that T-Mobile has the best mobile network in the US. This achievement was announced by CEO Mike Sievert, COO Srini Gopalan, and Marketing, Strategy, and Products President Mike Katz at an event carried out half a billion real-world tests on millions of devices to find out which network served people the best for common use cases and determined that T-Mobile offered better speed and experience than AT&T and Verizon. T-Mobile claims AT&T and Verizon customers on similar plans will save at least 20 percent if they migrate. T-Mobile will pay off their phone and give them a new iPhone Pro. Metro by T-Mobile customers haven't been left out of the celebration. Beginning June 26, customers on Metro's most popular plans will get more premium data. I think we can all see where the iPhone 17 Air is headed
*Image credit — Majin Bu This year, major phone manufacturers Apple and Samsung have decided to introduce new models to their flagship smartphones. As if the yearly slimming down of phones wasn't enough, we now have the upcoming iPhone 17 Air, and the currently available Galaxy S25 Edge. Both are phones that aim to provide users with a super slim chassis while retaining flagship as it turns out, not many people are interested in such a thing. The Galaxy S25 Edge isn't selling, prompting Samsung to cut down on production. And, if this is anything to go by, then I bet that Apple is in a panic right about now. The iPhone 17 Air is too slim to pack much juice. | Image credit — Majin Bu The biggest problem with both of these phones is the fact that they are limited by today's technology. Apple and Samsung, in particular, are quite slow to adopt emerging innovations and often trail behind their competitors. According to all of the reports that have come out on the iPhone 17 Air , it will be an expensive phone with less powerful hardware and a tiny battery: 2,800 mAh. If that sounds ridiculous to you, don't worry, you're not alone. Apple is aware that such a small battery is grounds for an awful user experience. As such, the company has introduced AI-powered battery saving in the hopes that the iPhone 17 Air will at least have passable battery life. However, if the Galaxy S25 Edge is any indication, then the iPhone 17 Air will cost around the same as the iPhone 17 Pro. And the only people who'd choose the Air are either users that desperately want something new, or people with very small pockets. All in all, this was not the time for Samsung and Apple to try out super slim phones. Especially when both companies have still not begun using newer, denser batteries. Funnily enough, the iPhone 17 Air is actually supposed to replace the iPhone Plus models. The Plus remains the worst-selling iPhone model, and Apple was hoping that the Air would be more successful. However, the Plus models themselves were a replacement for the iPhone mini. The mini models also had the same problem: they sold poorly. If the iPhone 17 Air also flops, then we might be allowed to say that Apple's 'extra' model each year is cursed, kind of like the Defense Against the Dark Arts position in Harry Potter. Furthermore, if this phone doesn't sell well either, it might be the shortest-lived iPhone model ever. Apple may return to the drawing board for the iPhone 18 series next year, because it would want a successful lineup for the 20th anniversary of the iPhone in 2027. Apple Intelligence may be complete next year. Maybe. | Video credit — Apple Now, I'm not normally one to advocate waiting for the next iteration of a product line, because then you just keep waiting, and waiting, and waiting forever. But 2026 may actually be a much more interesting year for the iPhone. For starters, it's seeming very likely now that the mythical foldable iPhone will come out next year. In addition, Apple Intelligence — the company's incomplete suite of AI tools — may finally be complete by the time the iPhone 18 rolls around. There's also multiple reports that the iPhone 18 will have a punch hole instead of the Dynamic Island. I, personally, don't like that, and think that Apple is losing its identity with the iPhone 18. But the iPhone 17 this year will also feature a redesigned exterior, so pick your poison. I just really think that the iPhone 17 Air is destined for failure, even if I actually quite like its design. If it were up to me, I'd just wait till 2027. That's the year when everything changes. Apple will unveil a new iPhone Pro model, one with no cutouts or holes on the display. But if you absolutely need a new iPhone soon, then 2026 should suffice. Or, you could just go for the base model iPhone 17 this year, which is going to look like the base model iPhone 16. The gym-friendly Sony LinkBuds Fit are on sale at an unbeatable price for a limited time
Released about eight months ago with "advanced" noise cancellation technology, a lightweight design focused on all-day comfort, and respectable battery life, the Sony LinkBuds Fit have curiously not made many headlines since their commercial debut with notable deals and discounts. $110 off (55%) True Wireless Earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation, Ambient Sound Mode, Air Fitting Supporters for All-Day Comfort, V2 Integrated Processor, Auto Switch, Auto Play, Multipoint Connection, IPX4 Water Resistance, Up to 5.5 Hours of Uninterrupted Listening Time, 21 Hours of Battery Life with Charging Case, Black and White Color Options, Grade A Refurbished, 1-Year Warranty Included Buy at Woot But now the time has finally come for the LinkBuds Fit to grab your attention at a killer price of $89.99. These bad boys are typically available for $199.99, mind you, dropping before today no lower than $148 at major US retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. As you may have already guessed, this unprecedented and unrivaled $110 discount comes from Woot, requiring you settle for "grade A" refurbished units rather than brand-new, unused, unopened, and undamaged earbuds. That's certainly not a small inconvenience, but on the decidedly bright side of things, you will get a full 1-year warranty with your purchase... if you hurry. Technically, you have until the end of the month to take advantage of Woot's unbeatable special offer, but the deeply discounted Sony LinkBuds Fit could naturally go out of stock earlier than that if your demand is as strong as I think the deal justifies. Designed primarily with fitness enthusiasts in mind, the black and white buds on sale here for a limited time come with "immersive audio and call clarity", not to mention IPX4 water resistance, multipoint connection, and up to 5.5 hours of uninterrupted listening time (21 hours with their bundled charging case factored in). No, I'm not going to tell you that the LinkBuds Fit are better than the aforementioned Sony WF-1000XM5 or Apple's AirPods Pro 2, but at $89.99, they definitely don't need to be that good to be worth a shot. They just have to be good enough, which they very clearly are. Secure your connection now at a bargain price! We may earn a commission if you make a purchase Check Out The Offer
