Shivon Zilis' Birthday Post For Elon Musk Included A Clown-Themed Cake
Elon Musk celebrated his 54th birthday on June 28. On the special occasion, the Tesla founder received a heartfelt wish from his Indian-origin partner and director of Neuralink, Shivon Zilis. She shared a then-and-now picture collage of Elon Musk on X (formerly Twitter). The post featured a throwback picture of a young Elon with a clown-shaped birthday cake, alongside a more recent picture of him with a similar cake. The dessert in question was topped with a whimsical, smiling face made of icing or fondant. It was settled on a vanilla base.
In the caption, Shivon wrote, "Happy birthday rocket man."

Elon Musk's love for desserts is not limited to cakes. The Tesla CEO also indulges in ice cream once in a while. Last year, in a post shared on X, Elon shared a delightful blast from the past: a photograph of his younger self. The little Musk was seen sporting a Mickey Mouse t-shirt as he flashed a million-dollar smile while clutching a cup of ice cream. The was a bit of the creamy treat smeared around his face, proving that messy eating is a universal childhood trait. The caption accompanying the post read: "Ice cream yum so good."

In addition to being a dessert connoisseur, Elon Musk is also a fan of Indian food. Back in 2023, X user Daniel shared a mouth-watering picture of butter chicken, naan and rice on the social media platform and wrote ''I love basic b***h Indian food it's so insanely good.'' Mr Musk wholeheartedly agreed with his opinion and wrote, ''True.''
Needless to say, the Tesla CEO's single-word reply has delighted Indians and fellow desi food lovers. While many thanked him for praising Indian food on an international platform, some invited him to come to India and try authentic cuisines. Read the full story here.

Culture & community spirit unite in UAE celebrations
Bhubaneswar: Rath Yatra in Dubai, organised by the Odisha Samaj UAE (OSUAE), was held for the 15th year with the participation of 500 Odias and other Indian families living across the Emirates. The event, held at Star International School, included chariot pulling, rituals performed as per Puri customs, and a rich display of Odia culture and community spirit. 'Chhera Pahanra' was performed by Amiya Mishra, president of OSUAE. Adding to the celebrations was an array of delicacies cooked by Odias living in UAE. The festivities were further enriched by vibrant cultural programmes, including Odissi dance performances, sankirtan and 'bhajan sandhya' by Indians. "The cultural and spiritual fusion reflects the true spirit of tolerance, unity, and diversity that the UAE proudly embodies," said Sudhashree Dash, a member of OSUAE. Prasad was cooked by Odia cooks based in Dubai. "This is more than just a festival for us. It is our emotional connection with Odisha. For 15 years now, we have been able to recreate a piece of Odisha in the heart of UAE," said Prakash Bahinipati, cultural secretary of OSUAE. The chariot was built of wood in Dubai and décor sourced from Odisha. Rath Yatra was also organised at Spring Dales School, Al Quoz, Dubai, on Sunday.

What does Elon Musk have to do with Squid Game? The show's creator reveals the surprising connection
The final season of Squid Game , which premiered on June 27, has sparked intense debate—not just for its shocking conclusion, but also for its striking parallels to real-world power dynamics. At the center of this conversation is none other than tech billionaire Elon Musk. Series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has openly compared the show's mysterious and powerful VIPs to modern tech moguls like Musk. In earlier seasons, these masked elites remained in the shadows, watching desperate contestants battle to the death for prize money. But in Season 3, the VIPs take a darker turn—trading their seats in the viewing gallery for roles as guards and executioners. "Elon Musk is everywhere these days, right? Everybody talks about him," Hwang remarked told the Times. Drawing a direct line between fiction and reality, he explained that the system's puppet masters are no longer hiding behind curtains. 'In the past, those who truly controlled the system stayed hidden, like part of some invisible conspiracy,' Hwang said. 'But that's no longer the case—especially in America. Today's power players take off the mask and proudly show the world who's in charge.' Hwang believes Squid Game mirrors this shift. Billionaires, especially tech leaders, are now more visible and vocal about their influence—publicly supporting political figures, shaping economies, and even becoming pop culture icons. 'They no longer whisper from the shadows,' Hwang said. 'They declare: 'We're running the system.'' The show's conclusion, which sees a baby declared the winner, has stirred strong reactions online. While some fans were frustrated that the VIPs seemingly escaped justice by blowing up the island, others defended the ending as a stark commentary on unchecked greed and systemic corruption. 'I didn't like that all those souls died for nothing,' one viewer posted. 'The villains got away.' But another countered: 'The whole series is a message—greed always wins, no matter how much justice you chase.' Hwang defended the creative choice, saying the baby symbolized hope and the possibility of change. 'It's a reminder that we owe the next generation a better world,' he said. 'That's what Squid Game has always been about.' Despite its deeper message, the finale had a bumpy launch—some fans reported Netflix outages just minutes after the episode dropped. Screens displayed error messages like: 'Something went wrong. Sorry we're having trouble with your request.' Still, technical hiccups aside, the show has reignited conversation around capitalism, power, and the very real figures—like Musk—who dominate the systems we live in.
