Best pals Shakira and Toni battled it out to win Love Island with their partners Harry and Cach
After weeks of coupling up, dumpings, texts and triangles, the series came to a close with a battle between Toni Laites & Cach Mercer, Shakira Khan & Harry Cooksley, Angel Swift & Ty Isherwood and Yasmin Pettet & Jamie Rhodes.
However, it was Toni and Cach who got the most votes from fans after their rollercoaster journey on the show.
Thrilled fans praised the result, with one saying: "I actually feel like I've won the World Cup. This is actually everything to me!
"Seeing Megan and Dejon dumped, Angel fourth place, Yas, Shakira and Toni top 3, Toni and Cach win. Suddenly life is feeling real again."

Someone else added: "Toni got the last laugh. A win and a nice man to take home. Bet Harrison is gutted. Karma is a b***h."
Another added: "Toni being American and winning, iconic!!! And thank you Cach for being so amazing and loving. Well deserved."
Just a few weeks ago, Toni split from Cach to rekindle with her old flame Harrison - not knowing he had been intimate with Casa Amor's Lauren.
After just one day, he U-turned yet again - and ended up leaving the villa when Lauren was voted out.

Despite Cach breaking down in tears over the embarrassment of his public split from Toni, he forgave her.
They started up their relationship once and again and on their final night in the villa said "I love you".

In third place was Yas and Jamie who gushed about their romantic connection.
However, "mean girl" Helena Ford was spotted "rudely" talking to Angel in the background of Yas's interview.

There was a famous divide between the girls, with Yas, Shakira and Toni being isolated from the rest of the villa.

However, they finished in the top three after gaining massive support from fans.
The entertaining final saw clips from yesterday of the remaining couples wake up to their last day in the villa, before the girls were sent out to buy breakfast for the boys.
They then got suited and booted ready for the finalists' dinner where the stars got emotional as they all confessed their feelings.
Toni broke down in tears as she told Cach how much she cares about him.

The night took a turn as Maya grilled Tommy and Ben live on the show about their romances with Lucy and Andrada, respectively, ended.
Both boys had gone exclusive with their other halves but cheated on the same night at a showbiz event - with the SAME girl.
As well as some Islanders finding love, it's been the sexiest series in the show's 10-year history ever since Helena took Harry into the Hideaway just 56 hours after meeting.
It led production to order in more condoms to ensure there was protection available.

It's also been the least committed bunch of Islanders - with only one official couple in the final week.
Meg Moore and Dejon Noel-Williams became boyfriend and girlfriend after a tumultuous eight weeks.
However, they were kicked out on Sunday night by the axed stars who returned to vote off the least compatible couple.
This year has also been incredibly promiscuous for some, with Conor Phillips taking the crown for being in the most couples of any series with a total of eight girls.

In another first, Toni became the first-ever American contestant in the UK series when she joined as a bombshell from Las Vegas.
It was also the first finale to have so few original islanders in the final four.
Everyone but Harry and Shakira joined as bombshells sporadically throughout.

Love Island host takes brutal swipe at Harry and says he ‘held Shakira back' from winning show
A LOVE Island host has taken a swipe at Harry and says he 'held Shakira back' from winning the show. Last night viewers watched as Toni Laites and Cach Mercer won the latest series of the ITV2 reality show. Advertisement 5 Love Island host Sam has taken a swipe at Harry and says he 'held Shakira back' from winning the show Credit: Shutterstock Editorial 5 The couple came in second place with some fans speculating that Harry 'held Shakira back' Credit: Shutterstock Editorial After weeks of drama in the villa, the series came to a close yesterday with a battle between Toni & Cach, Shakira Khan & Harry Cooksley, Angel Swift & Ty Isherwood and Yasmin Pettet & Jamie Rhodes. Many fans thought Shakira had it in the bag, but after Harry's villa antics some viewers speculated that the pair wouldn't win because of him. This is a sentiment that Aftersun host Sam Thompson appeared to agree with. 'Shakira was slightly held back by Harry yeah, but do you know what he had a bit of a personality transplant at the end. Advertisement 'Now, I think he's madly in love with her and that won't change. They'll come out and he'll see how well she's doing and probably even more in love with her.' Sam, who spoke to The Sun on behalf of M&Ms Couch Confessions, added: 'I think they'll go strong for a while. 'She could've won it, but I think Toni and Cach are amazing.' The 33-year-old threw his full support behind winners Toni and Cach, adding: 'I loved his tears. I know it sounds weird but I love that he showed that emotion. Advertisement 'He also would never look at her when talking to her, which I found so interesting. I think he's really shy, but I think that's really endearing and you can tell he's just a nice guy. Sam Thompson 'shoots his shot' and hit on Olivia Attwood's MARRIED sister says Pete Wicks - after his date with influencer is revealed 'It's good to see nice guys do well who don't start as the OG's. He doesn't have to be the life of the party, and he wasn't the most entertaining person in the world, but he was just a lovely guy.' Sam, who listed Love Island as his favourite TV show ever, also spoke about the divide between the girls in the villa. Millions of viewers watched the likes of Toni Laites and Shakira Khan clash with Helena and Meg Moore. Advertisement Things got especially heated when Harry Cooksley's head was turned back to Shakira after he made his partnership with Helena 'exclusive'. Sharing his thoughts on the matter, Sam told us: 'You're going to get all of that happening. 'I went into the house a few days ago and it's small. You're on top of each other and you know how it is, they'll get out and all be best of pals. 'They'll have a WhatsApp group, someone will leave it first, but they're all pals.' Advertisement The Aftersun star wasn't too sure which couple will be the first to split, but was adamant that Yasmin was his favourite Islander of the series. He continued: 'Do you think it'll be Meg and Dejon? I do think they've got something to prove now. I don't think they'll break up any time soon. 'And I think we've got some really strong couples. Yas had an amazing story arc, at the start she was risque and I love now that we've seen a little bit of warmth and heart. 'She was my favourite Islander.' Advertisement On the topic of TV, Sam was chatting to The Sun about all things telly while enjoying some M&M'S, to launch Couch Confessions, a playful new pop-up experience coming to Battersea on 5th August, built around Britain's funniest (and most relatable) TV-watching habits. He opened up on his own TV watching habits, saying: 'I'm a pauser, I'm a talker, I'm a sub-titler, I'm a tea maker, I'm a fiddler.' The 33-year-old also said he was keen to buy a slanket, which boasts the unique features arm holes, foot pockets, and areas for snacks, so he could share it with his cats. Asked if his best mate Pete Wicks would be accompanying him in the slanket, Sam was quick to say: 'I'm not sharing it with anyone at the moment, it'll just be me and my cats in the slanket.' ‘Upset' Queen's cutting remark about Meghan & Harry's wedding ‘revealed' – and what she REALLY thought about guest list
The late Queen was said to have been hurt by the Sussexes' behaviour QUEEN'S FURY 'Upset' Queen's cutting remark about Meghan & Harry's wedding 'revealed' – and what she REALLY thought about guest list THE late Queen was "upset"' at Meghan Markle's plans for her and Harry's wedding at Windsor Castle, a close friend of her cousin has claimed. Queen Elizabeth II is said to have been unhappy with the couple's guest list for the event and the pair inviting "random" celebrities instead of family members. Advertisement 5 Queen Elizabeth the II was reportedly left 'annoyed' by the Sussex's behaviour Credit: AFP 5 Harry and Meghan invited celebrities to their wedding who barely knew the Royal Family Credit: Reuters Sally Bedell Smith, a royal biographer, said the queen was left exasperated by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's plans. The late Queen reportedly said: "But it's my house - and I'm paying for it" when confronted with the plans for the Windsor Castle event. She was also said to have been "annoyed" when the pair went directly to the Archbishop of Canterbury to ask him to marry them in St George's Chapel in May 2018. Harry's grandmother was more excited about Princess Eugenie's wedding in October that year, according to the Daily Mail. Advertisement Ms Bedell Smith claims that Meghan then announced her pregnancy on the same day and then went on to say that the timing of the announcement had been "rude." She spoke at length with the late Queen's cousin, Lady Elizabeth Anson, who in turn spoke with the late Queen towards the end of her life. Lady Anson was born in Windsor Castle and was a great-niece of the Queen Mother and a goddaughter of King George VI. She was a party planner and was known as Liza to close friends and family. Advertisement Bedall Smith claimed in a new podcast that the late queen was upset about her lack of involvement in the Sussex's wedding planning. Harry and Meghan made the Queen's last years a complete misery - they'll NEVER be forgiven Lady Anson made an attempt to console her by telling her she could look forward to the Royal Ascot and Princess Eugenie's wedding. Despite her first cousin's best efforts her majesty remained upset. The Royal Family paid for the Sussex's wedding, covering the cost of the service, music, flowers and reception. The reception was then followed by an evening bash for 200 VIPs at Frogmore House, hosted by Harry's father. 5 Harry and Meghan married in May 2018 Credit: PA 5 The couple reportedly had a preference to invite celebrities over members of the family Credit: AFP Advertisement 5 Meghan announced her pregnancy shortly after her wedding Credit: Reuters Claims were made today however that Harry and Meghan had invited people who barely knew the Royal Family. Sally Bedell Smith told American royal commentator Kinsey Schofield: "Harry and Meghan just disinvited or didn't invite a whole group of family and cousins. "The children of the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and of the Gloucesters. Advertisement "She [Meghan] and Harry just 'exed' them out of the guest list and they added all these other random people who barely even knew the Royal Family. "That was just yet another irritation for the Queen." Ms Bedell Smith revealed earlier this year what the late Queen's real thoughts on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their behaviour were. She said that as the wedding approached the queen began to feel "very worried" privately. Advertisement According to Bedell Smith concerns were raised that Harry was 'Besotted and weak about women." Lady Anson reportedly told Bedell Smith about Meghan: "We hope but don't quite think she is in love. We think she engineered it all.' The Sussex's married in May 2018 and Meghan threw herself into royal duties before falling pregnant. Sally Bedell Smith wrote on her Substack: "By late February 2019 when Lady Anson and I spoke on the phone, she said 'I don't trust Meghan an inch. To begin with, she was not bad—a straightforward starlet, used to public speaking and charity work. The wedge between the brothers is really too bad.'" Advertisement Lady Anson, who worked as a party planner for elites celebrities and royals, tragically passed away in 2020. The queen made her a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order for her outstanding personal service to a British monarch. The Sun has contacted the Sussexes for comment.
