French Police Seize 1.3 Tons of Cocaine Worth €30 Mln

Israa Farhan
French police have intercepted 1.3 tons of cocaine valued at around €30 million (£25 million) in what Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau described as an unprecedented drug bust.
The cocaine was concealed in wooden crates and discovered during a routine inspection of a lorry travelling from Spain on a motorway near Bordeaux. Authorities confirmed that the seizure formed part of an ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking.
The operation was carried out in close cooperation with Spanish police after investigators received confidential intelligence regarding a possible smuggling attempt. Following the tip-off, the lorry was subjected to detailed checks, which led to the discovery of the narcotics.
Police sources
told
BFM TV that investigators had been monitoring the vehicle due to suspicious journeys between Spain and Northern Europe.
Authorities believe the seizure highlights the growing influx of large cocaine shipments into Europe via Portugal and southern Spain. Officials view the operation as a significant blow to the drug trafficking networks operating across the continent.

Israeli War Crime: Child Killed in Gaza by Israeli Drone Strike

✍️ Edited by Hany Hassapo A New Tragedy in Gaza Heartbreaking footage documented the moment an Israeli reconnaissance drone fired a missile at a Palestinian child while she was filling water in the Jabalia area, northern Gaza Strip. The attack instantly killed the girl, who was only trying to bring water back to her family amid hunger and thirst. Details of the Incident The video, aired by Al Jazeera, showed the child moments before she was directly targeted by the drone. Journalist Moamen al-Sharafi confirmed that the girl had been suffering from severe deprivation when the Israeli strike ended her life. He stressed that this crime represents only a fraction of the massacres being committed daily against civilians in Gaza. Civilian Lives Under Fire Al-Sharafi further revealed that earlier, in Gaza's Shuja'iyya neighborhood, young men attempting to recover the body of their brother were also targeted by an Israeli drone and killed instantly. In June, Al Jazeera documented another case in the same neighborhood, where a Palestinian carrying a sack of flour on his back was directly bombed by a drone. The man was killed on the spot, his body left lying next to the bag of flour — a grim image of life under siege. Cameras Expose War Crimes These harrowing images confirm that Israeli attacks are deliberately targeting civilians, and the few documented moments are only a glimpse of the daily crimes occurring away from the world's eyes.

9 Killed in Armed Attack in DR Congo

Israa Farhan At least nine people were killed in an armed assault in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, according to local sources on Sunday. The attack took place overnight from Saturday to Sunday in the town of Oicha, where armed assailants targeted civilians, looted shops, and set homes ablaze, eyewitnesses told AFP. Isaac Kavalami, head of the local civil society organisation that brings together unions and associations, reported that eight civilians and one police officer were killed during the incursion carried out by the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF). A journalist at Oicha General Hospital morgue confirmed seeing nine bodies, some of which bore stab wounds. Congolese army spokesperson Marc Elongo accused ADF militants of carrying out the assault, saying in a statement that the group had chosen to retaliate against civilians in response to ongoing military operations in the area. Oicha lies about 30 kilometres north of Beni, which serves as the Congolese army's military command centre in North Kivu province. The ADF, originally a Ugandan rebel movement, has been active in eastern Congo for decades and is accused of killing thousands of civilians in a campaign of violence that has intensified in recent years. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
