Mother collapses repeatedly after losing four family members in Gua Musang crash
Shahima Hamid, 54, collapsed three times at home and once more at the hospital upon identifying the bodies of her loved ones.
Her son Muhammad Faiz Nor Amran, 32, and daughter Nor Aina Imra, 21, perished in the crash.
Also killed were Faiz's two young sons, Muhammad Aryan Fattah, 5, and Muhammad Ayden Fattah, 4.
The driver, Tuan Norsyuhada Mohd Zain, 23, survived but sustained severe head and chest injuries.
'Faiz was very close to Mama, and Aina was our only sister among eight siblings,' said Muhammad Fakris, 23, another son.
Nor Aina Imra was a first-year student at Universiti Utara Malaysia and had just returned for her semester break.
The family was travelling back to Pasir Mas, Kelantan, after attending an event in Sepang, Selangor.
The accident occurred at 9.15am when their car veered into the path of an oncoming trailer lorry.
Gua Musang police chief Supt Sik Choon Foo confirmed the investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
The victims will be buried tonight at Kampung Padang To'La Muslim Cemetery in Pasir Mas.

South-East Brigade GOF Commander Datuk Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid said the seized plants included 2,000 bamboo saplings, 1,000 banyan saplings, 500 bonsai trees and 200 bougainvillea plants, all suspected of carrying pests and diseases. "The driver failed to provide any documentation for the ornamental plants, which are suspected to have been smuggled from Thailand," he said in a statement on Sunday (Aug 17). "The 26-year-old driver, who was supposed to deliver the plants to a local nursery, was also detained. "The estimated value of the seizure is RM870,000, including the lorry. (The items have) been handed over to the Kelantan Agriculture Department for further action." 600 police personnel to be deployed for Terengganu RXZ Members 7.0 event
KUALA TERENGGANU: A total of 600 police officers and men will be deployed to manage traffic flow and maintain public safety during the RXZ Members 7.0 event at the Gong Badak Motorsport Circuit in Kuala Nerus on Aug 22 and 23. Terengganu police chief Mohd Khairi Khairuddin said the number of participants this year is expected to nearly double, exceeding 100,000 people compared to 60,000 last year. He said the officers and personnel will be stationed at selected locations across the state to prevent any congestion that could disrupt the daily activities of the public. "A total of 600 officers and personnel will be stationed at selected locations, not only in Kuala Terengganu but also in other districts, including Besut, Marang, Dungun, Setiu and Kemaman. "To ensure safety, the Motorcycle Patrol Unit and Mobile Patrol Vehicle Unit will carry out patrols in lodging areas and homestays,' he said at a press conference at the Terengganu police contingent headquarters here on Sunday (Aug 17). Mohd Khairi said three fatal accidents involving participants were reported while 89 summonses were issued for various offences at last year's RXZ Members 6.0 event. In addition, there were three cases of fraud involving non-existent homestays, with total losses amounting to RM1,400. He reminded all RXZ Members 7.0 participants to comply with traffic regulations and not to cause public disturbance by making excessive noise in public areas. College student found dead in Subang Jaya home, police suspect murder
KUALA LUMPUR: A female college student was found dead in her family home in USJ 2/1, Subang Jaya, Selangor. The victim, in her 20s, was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan on the second floor of the house. Subang Jaya police chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat confirmed the incident occurred on Thursday (Aug 14). The victim's father alerted authorities after finding his daughter in critical condition around 11.55 am. A post-mortem revealed the cause of death as bleeding around the hyoid bone, indicating manual strangulation. Wan Azlan stated the victim lived with her sister and cousin but was alone at the time of the incident. No property was reported missing, and the house belonged to the victim's family. Police have yet to make any arrests in connection with the case. The investigation is being conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. Authorities urged the public to refrain from speculating about the case on social media.
