Monongalia County Sheriff's Office sheds more light on motorcycle accident

MORGANTOWN — A motorcycle rider involved in Thursday's accident on the Mileground has life-threatening injuries, according to the Monongalia County Sheriff's Department.
At 2:10 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to the accident at the intersection of Mileground and Hartman Run roads.
A press release states a Nissan Xterra was heading onto Hartman Run Road while a Yamaha motorcycle was traveling toward Easton Hill. The two vehicles collided head-on, throwing the rider off the motorcycle.
The rider was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital by Monongalia County EMS with life-threatening injuries, the release states.
The identity of the rider has not been released.
Due to the severity of the accident, the sheriff's department crash reconstruction team was called to the scene to assist in the ongoing investigation.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — A Trumbull County grand jury has returned an indictment against a Warren woman in connection with a fatal crash that happened in Bazetta Township. Britini Ulam, 35, is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and OVI in connection with the November 3 crash on state Route 46 that killed Frank Walter, 31, of Cortland. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ulam was behind the wheel of a 2006 Nissan Xterra with Walter as a passenger when she veered off the road, struck a culvert, overturned and went down an embankment. Both Ulam and Walter were thrown from the SUV in the crash. A second crash happened before first responders could arrive on the scene, and a driver struck Walter in the southbound lane of state Route 46. Walter was pronounced dead at the scene. HELL'S KITCHEN, Manhattan (PIX11) – A man was shot and killed in Hell's Kitchen on Wednesday, according to the NYPD. Police said it happened in front of 345 West 42nd Street around 10:45 p.m. EMS rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital where he died, according to authorities. More Local News Police said the suspect, who was wearing all black, fled toward 42nd Street and 8th Avenue. The victim has not been identified but is believed to be in his 30sm according to authorities. M42 buses are being detoured in both directions due to the police investigation, according to the MTA. North Texas teen critically injured in ‘Senior Assassin' game dies in hospital

A North Texas high school senior died after more than a month on life support from injuries sustained in an accident while playing the game 'Senior Assassin' in Arlington. Isaac Leal, 17, died on Monday, June 2, from a blunt force injury to the head, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office. His death was ruled an accident. 'He was full of life, dreams and so much potential. Isaac brought light to everyone around him with a smile, kind heart and spirit that touched so many,' a family member wrote in a GoFundMe to raise donations for his memorial service. Leal was hospitalized for over a month and underwent multiple surgeries and tests while he was in a coma, according to the GoFundMe account. Leal, a baseball player at South Grand Prairie High School, was chasing other students with his water gun in an Arlington neighborhood on April 20, police said. During the game, Leal jumped onto the back of a parked Jeep, which drove through the residential neighborhood in the 6500 block of Devine Drive, Arlington police said. After the Jeep turned onto Setter Drive, Leal fell off the vehicle and hit his head. Arlington police said they began investigating on May 3 after they were informed that the accident involved a vehicle. No criminal charges were filed against the driver. Police said there was no evidence to show that the driver of the Jeep was driving recklessly or intentionally trying to cause Leal to fall off the vehicle.
