Caister Health Centre where staff fell ill remains closed
Caister Health Centre in Norfolk is to stay shut all next week, as health bosses try to find out why staff began to feel unwell.The GP surgery and dental practice have been closed since 6 May when the site was evacuated as a precaution. The month before, 16 people were assessed by medics complaining of headaches and tiredness.Staff at the on-site pharmacy have been operating a restricted service, dispensing prescriptions at the door with the shop not accessible to the public.Jonathan Knights, executive manager of East Norfolk Medical Practice that runs the GP service, said: "We will definitely remain closed at Caister next week."
The practice has not given any details about its investigation, nor stated whether it has found any link to staff feeling unwell.On 29 April, more than a dozen people complained about feeling ill, with four of those seeking attention at James Paget University Hospital.A week later on 6 May, the site was evacuated as a precaution with emergency services called again, as well as engineers from gas network operator Cadent and Anglian Water, which manages the sewer network. Neither found any issues.John G Plummer and Associates said it had deployed staff from Caister to its new dental practice in Bradwell, but said some Caister patients had asked for their appointments to be delayed until the site reopens.
East Norfolk Medical Practice said it had deferred its patients to Newtown Surgery in Great Yarmouth, with other practices in the group also assisting in maintaining appointments.In a statement, it said: "We will remain closed until further notice whilst the investigation continues."The investigation is ongoing and no conclusion [has been] reached."

Death of RAF corporal investigated by MoD and Lincolnshire Police
The Ministry of Defence is investigating the death of an RAF dog handler alongside the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Rebecca Hudson, 32, from Stourport, died on 23 Police said it attended an incident on 18 May at an RAF site in Kirkby Lane, Tattershall Thorpe, in which a 32-year-old woman suffered "serious injuries" following "a collision" with a was airlifted to hospital but died five days later. The East Midlands Ambulance Service said after receiving a call at 15:23 on 18 May it sent a paramedic, a LIVES emergency responder and an ambulance. The air ambulance also attended. The English pop singer Jessie J says she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will undergo surgery after her performance at the London music festival Capital's Summertime Ball next weekend. Desperate search for missing mum, 28, who vanished four days ago as family urge ‘your children want you home'
POLICE are desperately searching for a 28-year-old mum who vanished four days ago, as her family pleads, "your children want you home". Louise Shaw was last spotted on Garnett Avenue, Kirkdale, around 3.15pm on May 31. Cops describe the mum as white, 5ft 7in tall, slim, with long black hair, a nose piercing, and tattoos. The 28-year-old has an owl/butterfly tattoo on the centre of her chest, a blue tiger tattoo on her left thigh, a dolphin on her lower left leg and a woman with two children on her lower right leg. Merseyside Police revealed she was last seen wearing a black vest, black leggings and lilac trainers. In a statement from her family they said: "Louise, this message is from all your family – please let someone know you are safe, we are all worried about you and your children really want their mum to come home'. In a heartfelt Facebook post, the family added: "Please can you all share my daughter has been missing since saturday. "She has 2 young children who just want there mummy. Louise isn't well and we just want to get her the help she needs or at least know she is safe. Louise shaw 28 from kirkdale area," Police have urged anyone who has seen the 28-year-old mum to call 999 or to contact them via or any other information to @MerPolCC or 101.
