Georgia State Patrol investigating Hinesville crash that killed 1

HINESVILLE, Ga. (WSAV) – The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) is investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of one person.
On May 27, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., GSP responded to a single-vehicle, fatal crash involving a GMC Sierra traveling north on Young Man Road near Old Shellman Road. The vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. The emergency services pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A teenage girl is in the hospital with critical injuries after she was shot overnight in a Kansas City, Kansas, park. According to a , at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday, deputies were called to Quindaro Park — located just north of Interstate 635, near Park Drive and Sewall Avenue — on reports of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they reported finding a Hispanic teenage girl suffering from gunshot wounds. WASHINGTON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A New Hampshire man has been sentenced to 135 years in prison after he sexually abused a young boy from Washington Parish. According to the Office of District Attorney Collin Sims, 28-year-old Benjamin Hart began talking to a then-10-year-old boy over Xbox online back in 2020, with communication eventually being moved to Snapchat, where Hart sent the boy an explicit image of himself. Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office warns of deadly 'pink cocaine' Officials say Hart eventually convinced the victim to meet in person, and then began making regular trips from New Hampshire to Washington Parish, where he repeatedly sexually abused to victim, mostly inside of Hart's 18-wheeler. Prosecutors say that from 2020 through 2022, Hart gave expensive gifts, such as a cell phone, a gaming system and money to the victim, using them to coerce further sexual acts from the child. Hart was ultimately found guilty of sexual battery of a juvenile under the age of 13, trafficking of children for sexual purposes and computer aided solicitation of a juvenile under the age of 13. THIBODAUX, La. (WGNO) — Two people have been arrested following a drug bust that occurred in Thibodaux on Thursday, May 29. According to the Thibodaux Police Department, after months of investigation, a search was executed in the 1300 block of Louise Street. As a result, police say the following items were seized: 142 grams of marijuana, packaging materials, three digital scales, three handguns, of which one was made to be fully automatic, rifle upper, 57 bottles of CBD oil, 11 THC vapes, assortment of ammunition and magazines, $1,397, 149 grams of gabapentin, 9 doses of tramadol, 208 grams of liquid codeine and 70 grams of psilocybin-mushroom gummies.
