Jenna Ortega's Shedding Snakeskin Dress Is As On Point As The Rest Of Her Red Carpet History
Actors may slip in and out of character, but for Jenna Ortega, fiction and fashion have long gone hand in hand. Since stepping into the shoes of Wednesday Addams in 2022, the actress' knack for horror has been impeccably reflected in her style, cementing her as the queen of modern gothic glamour.
Whether channelling corpse bride couture in Versace lace, or reimagining Victorian noir with Thom Browne tailoring at the Met Gala, Ortega's style arc is anything but predictable, but always on brand. In a time when many simply allow off-the-runway looks to wear them, the starlet has established a sense of personal style that is highly intentional, poised, and consistently compelling. Aided by long-time stylist Enrique Melendez, the former Disney ingénue has quickly become a fashionable favourite of any A-list red carpet.
From promoting Wednesday 's second season in a shedding snakeskin Ashi Studio dress to paying homage to the legacy of Beetlejuice for its sequel, her sartorial presence always promises a moody twist that we can't get enough of. Here, we trace her evolving style as she's bloomed from budding starlet to fashion muse. Style evolution of Jenna Ortega

Jenna Ortega Wears Ashi Studio to the Season 2 Premiere of 'Wednesday'
LONDON, ENGLAND – JULY 30: Jenna Ortega at the Wednesday Season 2, Part 1 Global Premiere at Central Hall, Westminster on July 30, 2025 in London, England. (Photo by Neil Mockford/FilmMagic) On Wednesday, July 30, Jenna Ortega was a vision of ethereal glamour at the Wednesday Season 2, Part 1 red carpet premiere in London. Ahead of its release, the leading lady stepped out in a snakeskin look by Ashi Studio — with bleached brows to match. Ortega is esteemed for her performance in the comedy series, which originally debuted in 2022. Her mastery of Wednesday Addams' off-putting, deadpan disposition is utterly spot-on, and her commitment to the character has carried over into her style choices; this dress is a mature, high-fashion approach to the quirky gothic genre. And if Wednesday were to switch up her dependable color palette and explore couture, we'd expect it to look a little something like this. (Photo by Samir Hussein/WireImage) Ortega stepped out onto the carpet in a body-hugging look from Ashi Studios, featuring a high-neck silhouette that billowed out around the hips in a structured, peplum waistline. The top half of the ensemble was complemented by a floor-length skirt flowing from beneath it, draped loosely from the thighs down. The gown's hemline was jaggedly cut, distressed along the edges, yet carefully crafted with a strong execution of a sultry aesthetic. And its lace-up detailing on the backside was an impeccable touch that gave the look a costume-like feel, styled by Enrique Melendez. (Photo by Samir Hussein/WireImage) Mohammed Ashi, founder and current creative director of the namesake brand, is known for his architectural designs and precise tailoring. This piece from his Fall 2025 Couture collection gives the impression of a snake shedding its skin — arguably, a nod to the ominous, moody aura that surrounds Ortega's character in the series. (Photo by Samir Hussein/WireImage) The actress traded Wednesday's signature pigtail braids for a more sophisticated hairstyle: a face-framing, low pony with weaving at the nape. Perhaps a quiet reference to the character's regular 'do, this take felt slightly more elevated, bringing the serpentine aesthetic full circle. A Fashionable Finale Ortega looked fashionably reptilian as the snakeskin textures clung to her in all the right spots, as if she had just emerged from the water. Every beauty detail that accompanied this look — from the blonde brows down to the blood red lip — felt intentional. And if you ask us, in another life, this is Wednesday's perfect mid-20s outfit inspo for a night out! The second season of The Addams Family spin-off will be available to stream on Netflix on September 3.

The Cast Tease More Looks From The Set Of 'The Devil Wears Prada' Sequel
Anne Hathaway is seen on the set of 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' in Manhattan on July 21, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by James Devaney/GC Images) The filming for the highly anticipated The Devil Wears Prada sequel officially began towards the end of June; however, we are just now getting a glimpse into what Andy Sachs is up to, nearly two decades on. Anne Hathaway took to her socials on July 21 to tease fans with two quick wardrobe sneak peeks. First, the star shared a TikTok captioned, 'heading to werk #dwp2' in which she was brushing her teeth. More notable than what she was doing, however, was an all too familiar-looking cerulean sweater worn by Hathaway. Though we doubt the Frame crewneck she is wearing this time around was 'fished out of some clearance bin' Anne Hathaway is seen on the set of 'Devil Wears Prada 2' on July 21, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Raymond Hall/GC Images) She then went on to share another video on her socials, in which she stood in front of a '2' and twirled in a Gabriela Hearst maxi dress. This post was also captioned '#dwp2'. The actress was seen in this same dress, wearing a straw hat and holding a garment bag labelled 'Runway' while filming later that day. Following these sneak peeks, Hathaway was spotted out in New York City on the set of The Devil Wears Prada 2 , showing us what Andy's daily style looks like nearly two decades on. On this day, the actor was first spotted walking down the street in a casual look consisting of a Toteme tank and a denim maxi skirt from Agolde. She wore Velcro Chanel sandals and black sunglasses with the look, keeping it practical and refined. Later on, she was seen in the same sandals, but this time wearing a patchwork denim boiler suit and a black Valentino bag. This look was styled with heeled boots, black shades, and a few key jewellery pieces. Anne Hathaway is seen on the set of 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' on July 21, 2025 in New York, New York. If these glimpses are anything to go by, we're at the very least in for some standout sartorial moments when the film releases on May 1, 2026. Lindsay Lohan Recreates Her Iconic 'Freaky Friday' Finale Look
Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis attend the 'Freakier Friday' UK Premiere at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on July 31, 2025, in London, England. (Photo by) Nothing plays on our nostalgia quite like our favourite childhood films, and as an icon of that era, Lindsay Lohan is leaning into her greatest hits. More than two decades after Freaky Friday hit screens, she reprises not only her teen role for its sequel, but some of the notable fashion moments from the film, too. On the purple carpet at London's Odeon Luxe Leicester Square for the Freakier Friday premiere, the actress stepped out in a glittering lilac gown. Custom-designed by Ludovic de Saint Sernin, the dress paid homage to the closing scene look from the original 2003 film. The original outfit—a floral lace cami and matching skirt by Y2K favourite Mandalay—was worn for the wedding of her mother, Tess, played by Jamie Lee Curtis. While it was a feminine curveball from her otherwise punkish on-screen alter ego Anna Coleman, it was given a grungey twist when she stepped on the stage barefoot, guitar in hand and hair out for the finale performance of 'Take Me Away' with her band, Pink Slip. Fast forward two decades, and Lohan's reimagined version is just as iconic. Wilson/Getty Images) Featuring crystal-studded halter straps, a corseted bustier, and shimmering floral embroidery that nodded directly to the original, the chainmail gown was completed with a rhinestone-studded guitar clutch by Judith Leiber. Stylist Andrew Mukamal—the creative mind behind Margot Robbie's Barbie press tour looks—later confirmed Coleman's closet was very much on the mood board. (Photo by Karwai Tang/WireImage) It's the latest in a string of delightful deep-cuts from Lohan's nostalgic press tour, which has seen nods to The Parent Trap , too. Earlier this week, she even wore a retro-style Pink Slip band tee for a Fallon appearance, paired with Ghesquière-era Balenciagas from her own 2000s archive. (Photo by) Also on the carpet was her longtime co-star and on-screen mother, Jamie Lee Curtis, who wore a bright red Stella McCartney cape dress and a coordinating Givenchy clutch. While it's been two decades since the two have portrayed family, they appeared as close as ever.
