Dolphins OT says he's not planning on retiring after all
Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Kendall Lamm is planning on playing an 11th NFL season, he revealed on Instagram.
"Now I will shut up and go to that gym," Lamm said, via Alain Poupart of SI. "Yes, I'm progressing smooth. Yes, I'm able to push a weight. The boy was pushing nine plates on the sled today. It's coming. Let's believe year 11 going to be a real thing one way or another. It's always going to rise if you put the work in, and that's what we need to do."
Lamm, 32, talked about retiring after the 2023 season, but opted to return for 2024, which he said would be "the last ride for me." But it wasn't a smooth season for the veteran swing tackle, who ended the year on injured reserve due to a back issue.
But even if he returns to play in 2025, Lamm's time with the Dolphins may be over. The veteran lineman is set to become a free agent later this month and Miami has vowed to invest in the offensive line this offseason.
"We're just older there now," Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said in January. "So yes, this is the time, like we did a few years ago ... this is the time for us to invest in some offensive lineman."
Still, since joining the Dolphins in 2022, Lamm has proven to be a reliable and versatile veteran, who has stepped in as a starter at both left and right tackle, when needed. It cost Miami just $2.6 million to bring back Lamm last offseason and would likely be even cheaper to keep him in 2025.

However if this occurs Boca also needs a seven goal swing in its favor. Boca currently holds a -1 goal difference and Benfica is on +6. Luckily for Boca, Auckland has conceded an average of eight goals per game in this tournament. On the other hand, Benfica needs only a draw against a Bayern team that has now qualified for the next round and may opt to rest some players. Mascherano urges Miami to embrace 'historical' chance

Cox) Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano says Monday's meeting with Brazil's Palmeiras in the final game of Club World Cup Group A is a historical moment for the MLS club and says his team should relish the game. Miami's shock win over Porto, secured via a brilliant free-kick from Lionel Messi, has left them with a chance of making it to the last 16 of the tournament. Advertisement And while the club, which only began playing five years ago, would advance with a draw, their Argentine coach doesn't want his players leaving anything to chance. "We're facing possibly one of the most important games in the history of our club. Above all, let that fill us with enthusiasm to be able to play it, let it not be a burden but an excitement and a challenge for this group of players who have been doing well up until now," said Mascherano. "It would be a big mistake if we went into it thinking about not playing it and only about the result. I think that when you think about the result certain things can happen during the game that make it very difficult to get back into the game," he said. Palmeiras defender Murilo has set his sights on cancelling out the threat of Lionel Messi when his side plays Inter Miami on Monday — in part because he is 'team Ronaldo'. I really like him.' Asked by reporters whether he would consider reproducing Ronaldo's trademark 'siu' celebration if he scores against Inter Miami, he responded in the affirmative. 'Yes,' he said. 'Yes, I'll do it.' As for the possibility of swapping shirts with Messi at the final whistle, Murilo said he was happy to let his team-mates fight over the momento. 'I'm not going to get involved in that,' he said. 'There are already a lot of people who are going to be asking for it. It's all good. I'm just focused on marking him.'
