Ozzy Osbourne had one more special project in the works before his death.
Hachette Book Group announced on July 10 that Osbourne would be publishing his memoir, Last Rites. According to the book's synopsis, the rock star wrote about his time performing in the legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath, his marriage to wife Sharon Osbourne, his multiple health battles and more.
'People say to me, if you could do it all again, knowing what you know now, would you change anything? I'm like, 'F*** no,' If I'd been clean and sober, I wouldn't be Ozzy. If I'd done normal, sensible things, I wouldn't be Ozzy,' the former rocker said in a press release at the time. 'Look, if it ends tomorrow, I can't complain. I've been all around the world. Seen a lot of things. I've done good … and I've done bad. But right now, I'm not ready to go anywhere.'
Last Rites is scheduled to be released on October 7, 2025.

News broke on Tuesday, July 22, that Ozzy died at the age of 76.
'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,' the musician's family shared in a statement to Metro. 'He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.'
Ozzy is survived by Sharon and their children Kelly Osbourne, Jack Osbourne and Aimee Osbourne, as well as kids Elliot, Louis and Jessica, who he shared with ex-wife Thelma Riley.
A cause of death has yet to be revealed.
Ozzy's death comes weeks after he took the stage one last time with Black Sabbath in Birmingham, England, on July 5. The performance marked Ozzy's official retirement while raising funds for Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorns Children's Hospice. (Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2020.)
'You wake up the next morning and find that something else has gone wrong. You begin to think this is never going to end,' the metal singer told The Guardian in a May profile, noting that his wife organized the benefit concert to 'give [him] a reason to get up in the morning.'

Following the concert, Kelly took to social media to express her gratitude for the full circle moment.
'I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you to everyone who came to the show last night, [and] thank you to everybody who was involved in the show last night. You have no idea what it did for my dad,' Kelly said in an Instagram Story video. 'It was one of the most magical experiences of my entire life, and if I keep talking, I'm probably going to end up crying again. So, that's all I'll say for now. Thank you.'
Days after her positive message, Kelly took to social media, slamming rumors that her father was close to death.
'This is the s*** I wake up to,' Kelly wrote alongside a screenshot of a message from a social media user critiquing her understanding of her dad's condition. 'Wtf is wrong with people?'

Kate Bush tribute held on 'Wuthering Heights Day'

A government minister was among dozens of women in Birmingham who took part in an event celebrating writer Emily Brontë and singer Kate Bush. The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever also raised funds for women's charities as the group joined thousands of people across the world recreating the video to Bush's 1978 song Wuthering Heights. Birmingham's inaugural event earlier was organised by The Heath Bookshop, in King's Heath. The proceedings were opened by Home Office minister and Birmingham Yardley MP Jess Phillips. Charities set to benefit from the event include Anawim - Birmingham's Centre for Women and WE:ARE (Women's Empowerment And Recovery Educators). Shop owner Claire Dawes said it was a "great event" to put on "as the local community support the many arts events that happen here and always support charity events." The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever events have previously taken place in locations such as Sydney, Copenhagen, Berlin, Folkestone, and Preston. For the first time this year the event was set to take place on moorland on Penistone Hill, not far from the famous Brontë sister's home in Haworth. Jennifer Lopez Suffers Mid-Performance Wardrobe Malfunction During Her Concert: 'I'm Glad I Had Underwear on, I Don't Usually'

Fans praised the singer for handling the situation "like a pro" Jennifer Lopez's skirt ended up "On the Floor" during her latest concert, but she didn't let it detract from the show! The musician, who recently celebrated her 56th birthday, handled a mid-performance wardrobe malfunction like a pro while she was in Warsaw, Poland, on July 25. During her gig at the PGE Narodowy stadium — as part of her Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour — Lopez thanked fans for coming out to the show, when a glittery skirt she was wearing randomly snapped off her body and fell to the stage floor. Though Lopez was unsuccessful in trying to stop the skirt from hitting the ground, she didn't let the mishap take away from the moment, which was shared on her official YouTube channel, as well as by fans on Instagram. The hitmaker played the incident off by smiling big and strutting around the stage with her arms in the air, even pulling off a little spin. "I'm out here in my underwear," Lopez joked, as a dancer approached her with the skirt and attempted to put it back on. "That's gonna be everywhere." "I'm glad that they reinforced that costume," she later said. "And I'm glad I had underwear on. I don't usually wear underwear." Lopez later tossed the skirt to fans in the crowd and told them to "keep it," joking that she didn't "want it back." Lopez was praised by fans for how she laughed off the onstage wardrobe malfunction. "She's adorable & handled it like a pro that she is 🙌🏻," one supporter captioned footage of the moment shared on Instagram. "👏👏🙌🔥😍😂life is too short," another fan wrote in the comments section of a post. The "Ain't Your Mama" singer's latest tour stop came after she celebrated her birthday on July 24. Lopez marked the occasion by dropping a new song titled "Birthday," and she was presented with a huge three-tiered cake as she celebrated with dancers and musicians on the road with her. Lopez kicked off the tour, her first in six years, with a performance in Galicia, Spain, on July 8. It took place over a year after she canceled her This Is Me... Live tour in May 2024. In celebration of her birthday in Antalya, Turkey, Lopez shared a bare-faced photo of herself — as well as some celebratory clips — with a caption dedicated to her fans. 'What a gift you all are," the mother of two wrote. "Thank you so much for all your beautiful birthday wishes.' Lopez is next set to perform in Bucharest, Romania, on Sunday, July 27. She will then make her way to Istanbul and beyond in the weeks to follow, before her international run wraps on Aug. 12 in Sardinia. Read the original article on People

The Spice Girls and Wu-Tang Clan Almost Had Their Own Anime

Now, here's a sentence no one expected to read in the year 2025: Once upon a time, we might have gotten to see the Spice Girls and the Wu-Tang Clan in anime form. In a recent interview with AnimEigo, Lawrence Guinness, a senior VP at Manga Entertainment, distributor of anime such as Perfect Blue and Street Fighter Alpha (and subsidiary of Island Records), revealed the company considered co-producing its own works. Two projects he mentioned would have starred the aforementioned bands, and the Spice Girls idea got far enough along that he had some production stills to show. Had it happened, it'd have been a film called Girl Power: The Anime, courtesy of Production I.G, the studio behind Ghost in the Shell. According to Guinness, Manga had 'very advanced talks' with the British pop group's management at the time this was pitched and would've hopefully appealed to fans of then-popular anime like Studio Ghibli. Even now, Guinness is confident teenage girls 'might've gone to the cinema to see this. In fact, I think you would've stood in a line for a long time to get in to see this. This was the vision. Look, if that's not girl power in action, I don't know what is.' As for the never-realized Wu-Tang project, a series that would have been called The Imperial Warrior, he claimed near everything was in place for the project, except some of the hip-hop group's members didn't sign off on it. His pitch to Island Records founder Chris Blackwell saw Wu-Tang 'challenging the forces of evil through their music and martial arts skills.' The soundtrack and designs for the characters (he mentioned RZA and Ghostface Killah specifically) were 'great,' said Guinness, and it would've been 'revolutionary. That was the project I was proudest of that never happened.' Over the decades, Japanese creators have been open about their love of western music, and artists like the late Prince and Aaliyah have inspired characters in Michiko & Hatchin and My Hero Academia. Making musicians or other celebrities into fictionalized versions of themselves for film and TV is another tale as old as time, and Guinness wanted these two projects to take off to both put Manga on the map and successfully 'synthesize anime with the best of western culture.' When it comes to Wu-Tang Clan, he's sort of gotten his wish, thanks to RZA's involvement in Afro Samurai and developer Brass Lion Entertainment's upcoming action game Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver. As for the Spice Girls, it's a shame they never got their animated due—there are worse ways for a band to be memorialized than an anime movie with some original songs and cheesy action that still holds up years after the fact.
