Edinburgh gangster Mark Richardson 'only allowing prison visits from right-hand man'
The kingpin's criminal empire has suffered a barrage of violent attacks since March including machete attempted murder bids, businesses and properties linked to him being firebombed and associates being targeted by masked gunmen.
The wave of attacks are believed to have been orchestrated by Dubai-based Ross McGill - a former Rangers ultra who fled to the middle east several years ago and has been backed by several underworld hoods.

After associates of Richardson, 38, supposedly paid for a stash of drugs with fake notes, McGill vowed to unleash violence on the mob boss and anyone associated with him, with friends and his former partner among those targeted in recent months.
In July, we told how McGill was 'lying low' for a while following a major crackdown on gang-related violence from police, who have made a total of 55 arrests as part of Operation Portaledge.
A source revealed McGill was running out of footsoldiers in the capital to do his bidding following a wave of arrests connected to physical attacks and firebombings on homes and vehicles.
A second source has now confirmed Richardson is only allowing his close associate David Togher to visit him behind bars.
In March it was claimed Togher was approached and chased in the street by machete-wielding thugs before managing to get away.
In 2017 Togher was jailed for six years for slashing a notorious gangland figure in a broad daylight attack in the city centre. The ex-soldier attacked Sean 'Lugs' McGovern before he was due to return to jail from home leave.
Togher, who is understood to be one of Richardson's closest allies, is the only one allowed to visit him at HMP Low Moss and is also 'taking him DVD's in prison.
A source told Edinburgh Live: "It has all gone quiet recently but Togher is the only one Richardson is allowing to visit him in prison. He was taking him in DVDs and other items.
"Richardson is keeping his cards close to his chest. He is remaining tight-lipped regarding any mention of reprisal attacks for what has happened in recent months.
"One thing that is certain is Richardson thinks he has had the p**s taken out of him by McGill and there will be repercussions but he is keeping his nose clean in prison."

Nicholas Rossi found guilty of rape charge
Nicholas Rossi, an American man who faked his death and fled to the UK to escape rape charges, has been found guilty of one of them at a court in Utah. The 38-year-old was accused of sexually assaulting two women in the state in 2008 - one in Salt Lake County, the other in Utah County. He denied the charges. Prosecutors are trying the cases separately. Read more: The Salt Lake County court heard from his accuser and her parents during the three-day trial. Rossi declined to testify on his own behalf. His accuser said Rossi held her down and "forced me to have sex with him". The court heard that she began a relationship with Rossi while recovering from a traumatic brain injury in 2008. The woman, who can't be named for legal reasons, said she responded to a personal ad Rossi had placed on Craigslist and the pair were engaged within about two weeks. But the relationship soured and Rossi became "controlling and saying mean things to me", the court heard. She described an incident on the day she was raped in which Rossi pounded on her car and used his body to block her from pulling out of a garage. When she eventually went into the house with him, he pushed her onto his bed, held her down and "forced me to have sex with him", she testified. Rossi appeared in court in a wheelchair, wearing a suit and tie and using an oxygen tank. Despite prosecutors saying he had used at least a dozen aliases Rossi used over the years, his victim identified him from the witness stand, saying he's "a little bit heavier, a little bit older" but mostly looks the same. Rossi's lawyers sought to convince the jury that her motivation in accusing him of rape was resentment over their relationship. He will face sentencing on 20 October for this case, and is set to stand trial in September for the other rape charge in Utah 2020, Rossi faked his own death and fled to the UK to avoid criminal charges. After marrying Miranda Knight in Bristol, the pair moved to Glasgow where he was ultimately caught by police while he was in hospital being treated for COVID. Medical staff at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital recognised him from his tattoos, images of which had been circulated on an Interpol red notice. LA detectives release photo of sexual assault suspect, ask for additional victims to step forward
The Los Angeles Police Department released a photo of a sexual assault suspect officers arrested in May, hoping it would spur additional victims to step forward. Detectives said Jean Junior Dar, 42, allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted three men in their mid-20s. Investigators said in each case, Dar met the victims at a bar and invited them to an after-party at his Marina Del Rey home. After arriving, Dar allegedly gave the victims a drink that incapacitated them before the 42-year-old allegedly sexually assaulted them, according to the LAPD. The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office charged Dar with two felony counts of sexual assault. He was released after posting bail. Court records showed that Dar was arraigned in 2021 for nine misdemeanors related to unauthorized practice of law and grand theft. Detectives believe there may be additional victims who have not come forward.
