The Killers will play a smaller venue in MN, but only for Wells Fargo customers
First Avenue announced the June 26 underplay this week, with a small catch. You can only buy tickets if you've got a Wells Fargo credit card.
The show is part of a series of Wells Fargo events that drop big-name acts into relatively small venues, such as the 2,500-capacity Palace Theatre.
Brandon Flowers and co. last came to town for the first night of TC Summer Fest in 2023, performing alongside the Flaming Lips, Death Cab for Cutie, and others. The second day was also headlined by a Las Vegas-born band, Imagine Dragons.
The two-day festival-style event was billed as the inaugural TC Summer Fest, but it has not been held since.
The Killers took the stage for an underplay that year as well, headlining First Avenue the night before trekking down the street to the Twins' stadium.
Tickets to see the "Mr. Brightside" hitmakers are available exclusively to Wells Fargo Autograph cardholders through Friday, May 16, at 10 a.m. At that time, tickets will become available to anyone with a Wells Fargo credit card.

Go Pool Is Flamingo Las Vegas' Latest Design-Forward Summer Hangout
Flamingo Las Vegas' $20 million transformation sees a brand new pool area that pays homage to the hotel's Mid-century Modern roots. Go Pool is a 21+ multi-pool complex that spans an impressive 1.5 acres and has five sprawling swimming pool that have been designed for a mix of partying and relaxation. 'The Go Pool draws from the architecture of the iconic Flamingo Las Vegas resort and pool, especially during its 1946 opening,' explained a spokesperson for Caesars Entertainment. A shaded walkway covered with pink beams serves as a bright and sophisticated entryway to the Go pool site, complete with yellow and white branded buoy rings and flashback photographs that highlight Flamingo Las Vegas' beginnings. 'Caesars Entertainment leadership and the design team referenced historical images of the resort throughout the decades and incorporated key design elements into the new pool complex,' explained a spokesperson for Caesars Entertainment. 'Additionally, the Go Pool reflects the current surroundings, architecture and dynamic energy of the Flamingo. The teams aimed to create a pool that complements the property's overall aesthetic in a creative way,' 'The Go Pool design reinterprets the Flamingo's Mid-century Modern roots with playful curves and Art Deco influences,' they explained. 'Elements like the stepped columns and flowing lines in the grotto facade and DJ booth echo features of the nearby Family Pool entry bridge,' At the center of the Go Pool complex is the large main pool with a swim-up bar serving up Flamingo's signature beverages. There's a shallow wet deck with in-water daybeds and couches, and the main pool is located directly below the DJ booth, which sits atop the grotto. A dramatic 50-foot-wide 'rain curtain' waterfall above the grotto pool cascades into the main pool. Three of the complex's five pools are reserved for VIP guests. The circular pool offers an oasis for those who are looking for a chill, relaxed vibe, while the 60-foot long rectangular pool is the perfect spot for those looking to party. Finally, the free-form VIP pool features three separate shallow wet deck areas, cabanas and in-water daybeds for guests who want to be close to the action in the main pool while enjoying a luxuriously exclusive experience. 'The restored Pavilion Bar and new swim-up bar also share Retro-Deco themes. The swim-up bar's horizontal metal banded façade, soft patina stone details, earthy pastel stucco and 'starburst' gold topper are a fresh play on the Pavilion Bar's Art Deco notes. Meanwhile, the cabanas evoke a breezy beach vibe with soft, wavy fabrics and pastel tones. Together, these features enhance the Flamingo's tropical oasis feel that guests know and love.' To stay in line with the signature tropical vibe that the Flamingo Las Vegas is known for, the team transplanted 55 palm trees from the original pool complex, which took over a month to complete. Some trees weighed over 8,000 pounds, making it a significant logistical effort. 'With the all-new Go Pool, we aimed to create a space that is as vibrant as the Flamingo's history,' added Dan Walsh, SVP and General Manager of Flamingo Las Vegas. 'Every detail was carefully considered—from the color palette to the shapes of the pools—to deliver the modern amenities guests expect while also celebrating this iconic resort.' Michael Franti cancels tour as more sexual abuse allegations surface
Michael Franti has canceled his upcoming tour, including a scheduled Bay Area concert, as accusations of sexual abuse continue to build against the musician. 'This is one of the hardest messages I've ever had to write,' Franti posted on social media Wednesday, Aug. 20. 'Recent events online have left me disheartened and my spirit isn't in the place it needs to be to get on stage and give you the joy and energy you deserve.' The Oakland-born frontman for Spearhead and the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy added, 'The remaining dates on the Welcome to the Family Tour will be canceled. I'm devastated to disappoint you, but I hope you understand that I need this pause to be with my family.' A concert was originally scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Saratoga's Mountain Winery. Promoter AXS said tickets would be refunded automatically. The tour cancellation comes less than a week after Spanish American singer Victoria Canal alleged in an Instagram post that she was groomed and abused by a 'very powerful' older musician when she was 19. Canal did not name Franti in her Aug. 11 post, but she has previously credited him with discovering her in 2018 and inviting her on tour. Later that same day, Franti, a frequent face at Bay Area festivals such as Stern Grove and BottleRock Napa Valley, took to his Instagram account to acknowledge a romantic relationship with an unnamed artist outside his marriage but denied any abuse. 'The relationship was completely consensual, based on mutual feelings and attraction,' he wrote. Canal described the man as controlling and abusive in private. She alleged that he photographed her without consent and isolated her from others, saying the experience 'plagued my body, spirit, and mind' throughout her 20s. A few days later, Canal shared similar allegations sent to her by Carla Swanson, who co-founded Soulshine yoga resort hotel in Bali with Franti in 2011, and Wyoming musician Makina Kaili. Yet another voice joined the controversy on Wednesday. Writer Minda Lane published a lengthy Substack post recounting her experience with Franti between 2008 and 2017. She described herself as a longtime fan and admitted she initially welcomed his attention but later came to see a troubling pattern of behavior. She claimed that Franti once stripped naked in front of her shortly after they met, later pushed her into sexualized exchanges over webcam and alternated between affectionate and dismissive treatment that left her confused and seeking his approval. Lane also recalled instances she described as public 'misconduct,' including what she said was an appearance at a festival in jeans with 'a hole in the crotch and no underwear.' 'I didn't think of it as being groomed,' Lane wrote. 'Instead, I thought a dream was coming true. I thought I had manifested the experience through the sheer ardor and conviction I carried for his music and his causes. 'What I realize now is that he probably never meant the sweet or complimentary things he said to me,' she continued. 'He only said what he needed to keep me in thrall so I would remain available when he wanted to use me.'
