Belrise Industries ends sharply higher after foreign research house initiates coverage
According to the global research firm, the company is expected to achieve a 12% revenue compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over fiscal years 2025-2028, driven by rising two-wheeler demand, industry premiumization, increasing content-per-vehicle, and expansion in four-wheelers and exports.
The firm has projected that Belrise would record a 12% EBITDA CAGR and 18% earnings per share (EPS) CAGR over the same period, along with deleveraging of its balance sheet.
The research house considers Belrises valuation of 18 times FY26 price-to-earnings ratio attractive given the strong growth outlook for the company. Any simplification of Belrises group structure could potentially boost valuations further, it added.
Belrise Industries is an integrated automotive component manufacturers with a diverse portfolio of safety-critical systems and engineering solutions.
The company reported a 722.3% jump in net profit to Rs 110.02 crore while revenue rose 49% to Rs 2,274.35 crore in Q4 March 2025 over Q4 March 2024.

Retail major IKEA to double down on India market in 12-18 months
New Delhi: Multinational conglomerate IKEA plans to double the number of its stores and customer touchpoints across the nation over the next 12 to 18 months, according to Jesper Brodin, CEO of Ingka Group, which owns IKEA globally. The expansion will include both large-format stores and smaller outlets in malls and city centres. According to Brodin, the company is committed to rapid expansion in India and plans to increase local sourcing from its current 30 per cent to 50 per cent by 2030 as part of its long-term strategy. Additionally, he disclosed that plans to open 5–6 new touchpoints in India every year over the next five years. IKEA intends to double the number of its stores and customer service centres nationwide. IKEA has big plans for the Delhi NCR area as part of its retail expansion, with big stores opening in Noida and Gurgaon. Two additional large stores are also planned for South India, though the precise locations have not yet been disclosed. IKEA currently runs three sizable stores in Bengaluru, Navi Mumbai, and Hyderabad. The company has already invested Rs 10,500 crore in India and has ventured into online retail, providing 24-hour delivery services in a few locations. Regarding sourcing, IKEA has 45 Indian suppliers, mostly in the textile and toy industries. The company's products are well-known throughout the world for their modern design, affordability, and usefulness. Madras HC refuses to quash GCCs decision to privatise garbage disposal work
Madras HC (File photo) CHENNAI: In a setback to the sanitary workers of Zones 5 and 6 of the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), the Madras high court on Wednesday refused to quash the resolution passed by the GCC to privatise garbage disposal work. 'Since the service of the workers is not terminated, the question of retrenchment does not arise,' Justice K Surender said while disposing of the plea moved by the sanitary workers. On August 13, when the court reserved its order on the plea, the workers submitted that they were willing to call off their agitation and resume work immediately, provided the GCC agreed to abide by the decision of the Industrial Disputes Tribunal in the case concerning the outsourcing of garbage disposal. Even for Zones 5 and 6, tenders were floated, and contracts were awarded. Only two more zones remain to be outsourced. The GCC added that the agitating workers were not workmen of the GCC. They were engaged from Self Help Groups (SHGs) for the work on a contract basis. The contractor, Delhi MSW Solutions Limited (earlier Ramky), assured that all the workers would be absorbed with a higher pay scale. In addition, they would receive a series of other benefits too. It added that unless the remaining workers joined, it would be forced to look for alternatives. The contractor has now agreed to extend the cutoff date for the workers to join until August 31, its counsel said. To this, the workers contended that the pay offered by the contractor would not be higher than what the workers were getting now but would be less than the minimum wage applicable in the state.
