
2 minors suffer burns following fiery explosion in coastal GA
Two children suffered burns after a fiery explosion Tuesday evening, officials say.

Around 7 p.m., Chatham County firefighters were called to N. Copperfield Drive for an explosion call with burn victims.
When firefighters arrived, they began treating two burn victims who were only identified as minors.
According to CCFD, the explosion happened after an accelerant was thrown on the fire.

One minor was taken to Memorial Hospital with burns to the hand/arms, and the second minor, a girl, was airlifted to the Augusta Burn Center with burns to the leg, chest, stomach, and arm.
Both minors were conscious and alert.

GA man accused of slapping victim, taking phone as they tried to call 911
A disturbance call led to the arrest of a 27-year-old Georgia man. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Last Friday, just before 6 p.m., deputies in Saratoga County, NY, responded to a disturbance call on Reynolds Road in Moreau. During the investigation, deputies arrested David J. Peters, 27, of Columbus, Ga. Peters is accused of slapping another person and taking their phone as they tried to call 911. The 27-year-old is also accused of stealing two cellphones, each worth over $1,000. Solicitor doesn't have required permits, resists arrest after reports of suspicious behavior
A man was arrested after several residents reported suspicious behavior of him walking around door to door in their neighborhood. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Springboro Police Department said in a media release that they received multiple reports of a man wearing a reflective vest who was going door to door and 'filming private property such as garages and yards, and becoming belligerent when questioned by residents.' The man was allegedly acting as a solicitor in the Settlers Walk neighborhood without the required permit. The individual arrested did not have a valid permit and failed to comply with local laws and police instructions,' a spokesperson for the police department said in the release.
