
Education Ministry to probe viral video of foreign man officiating school event
IPOH: The Education Ministry will investigate a viral video showing a foreign man officiating a sports programme at a primary school in the Kerian district.
Its minister, Fadhlina Sidek, said the matter is already under her attention and further investigations will be carried out.
"We are investigating the case," she said briefly when met at the state-level Maal Hijrah 1447H celebration at the Casuarina @ Meru Hotel here last night.
Earlier, a video went viral on social media showing a man, believed to be a Pakistani national, officiating a school programme in Semanggol near Bagan Serai.
The three-minute clip claimed that the man was neither a sponsor nor a parent involved in the programme.

One killed, two injured in car-lorry crash on East-West Highway near Banjaran Titiwangsa R&R
IPOH, June 27 — A man was killed while two others were injured after the car they were travelling in was involved in a crash with a 10-tonne lorry on the Gerik-Jeli East-West Highway, near the Banjaran Titiwangsa Rest and Service Area (R&R), yesterday.
