Wu-Tang Clan Release Trailer For ‘Rise Of The Deceiver' Video Game

The Wu-Tang Clan are going digital, yet again, as the group will be releasing a new video game that will bring players into the realm of Shaolin. At this year's Summer Game Fest, legendary rap group the Wu-Tang Clan unveiled their latest cultural venture: Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver, an action-packed cooperative RPG developed by Brass Lion Entertainment. The game promises a blend of hip-hop, mythology, and immersive gameplay, soundtracked by both classic Wu-Tang tracks and original music composed by renowned producer and video game enthusiast, Just Blaze. Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver was originally envisioned as a companion piece to Angel of Dust, an upcoming supernatural horror film produced by Ghostface Killah and directed by RZA under AOD Films. The game will allow up to four players to battle through a fictional version of Shaolin, squaring off against The Deceiver, a menacing antagonist who serves as the game's final boss. Through its gameplay and narrative, Rise of the Deceiver aims to further expand the themes and dark mystique of the film. 'Creating Angel of Dust has been an incredible journey,' Ghostface Killah said in a statement. 'Bringing the story to life through film was just the beginning. Now, with the development of the video game, we are immersing fans even deeper into this supernatural thriller universe.' He continued, adding, 'It's about blending music, storytelling, and interactive experience. I can't wait for fans to step into the darkness and discover what lies beneath.' This marks the Wu-Tang Clan's first major video game project in over two decades, following the cult-classic 1999 release Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style. That game, featuring all nine original members as playable fighters, broke new ground by integrating hip-hop culture directly into the gaming world. It's since become a nostalgic gem for fans of both rap and retro gaming. While Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver will initially debut on PC, console versions are slated for release at a later date. No official launch window has been revealed, but excitement is already building within both the gaming and music communities. Ghostface previously shared his excitement for the film and gaming collaboration: 'It's a blessing to partner with Oscar-nominated producer Shaun Redick and Impossible Dream Entertainment, and to be doing business with my brother RZA directing is a dream come true. Putting all these great minds to work together will be legendary.' RZA echoed the sentiment: 'The creative collaboration of RZA and Ghostface has stood the test of time through our music. Now the opportunity to put our creative energies together onto the silver screen has arisen and I'm turbo charged. Bong Bong!' With its unique fusion of music, storytelling, and action, Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver stands poised to become another defining moment for the Clan in gaming history. BBC Apologises After David Walliams' Nazi Salute During Would I Lie To You? Taping

The BBC has apologised for David Walliams' 'unacceptable' behaviour during a recent taping of a Would I Lie To You? special. Earlier this week, the former Little Britain star was a guest on the pre-recorded Christmas special of the popular BBC panel show. During the recording, fellow guest Helen George attempted to convince her opponents that she once injured herself while waving on the official Strictly Come Dancing tour. As she demonstrated the wave that supposedly caused the injury, BBC News reported that David joined with increasingly exaggerated hand gestures, eventually culminating in him performing a Nazi salute. They also claimed that at one point he performed a Nazi salute with one hand and a sexual gesture with the other. One audience member told BBC News: 'The atmosphere was uncomfortable and weird. I think Rob Brydon wanted to get past it as quickly as he could. 'David Walliams' teammates looked unsure what to do and were not laughing... It was like an elephant in the room after that as the incident was early on in the recording and so the remainder of the show felt weird.' A spokesperson for the broadcaster later said: 'The use of such an offensive gesture is completely unacceptable and we apologise to all at the recording for the offence caused.' Meanwhile, a representative for Banijay – the production company who makes Would I Lie To You? – also issued an apology, insisting: 'Any attempt at humour regarding this deeply offensive gesture, whether broadcast or not, is completely unacceptable in any context. 'It was immediately acknowledged during the recording that this segment would not be broadcast under any circumstances and we apologise to those who were at the recording for any offence caused.' HuffPost UK has also contacted David Walliams' team for comment. BBC News noted that David has made only a handful of terrestrial TV appearances in recent history, following his departure from Britain's Got Talent in 2022 after 10 years on the panel. David's exit came after recordings of him making disparaging and sexually explicit remarks about numerous BGT hopefuls on the set of the show in 2020, for which he later apologised, were leaked to the press. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Is Getting An All New Multiplayer Mode Over 20 Years Later

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater isn't just a 4K remake of the original PlayStation 2 game, it turns out. The Unreal Engine 5 upgrade of MSG 3 is also getting some entirely new content, including a multiplayer mode called Fox Hunt. Revealed during a Konami Press Start showcase on Thursday, Fox Hunt takes place online in the same world as the single-player story but with different gameplay. Mode director Yu Sahara, who's worked on Metal Gear in the past, distinguished it from Metal Gear Online, a multiplayer spin-off of Metal Gear Solid 4 that featured tactical stealth takes on traditional scenarios like team deathmatch and capture the flag. 'The landscape of multiplayer games has changed a lot,' he said during the livestream. Indeed it has, but the most appealing about Metal Gear getting multiplayer again is how old-school it might end up feeling compared to the current glut of extraction shooters, battle royales, and battle passes. Here's a quick teaser from the showcase: Instead of bringing that back, Sahara and the team at Konami worked on updating what Metal Gear Online might look like decades later. The focus will still be on camouflage and staying hidden before choosing the right time to go after an objective or surprise an opponent, and footage in a brief teaser showed characters getting into what look like small D-Walker-type mechs on the battlefield. Also lots of operatives crawling around in leaf shrouds. Konami didn't have anything else to reveal about the mode other than it will be arriving with the rest of Metal Gear Solid Delta at launch on August 28. In addition to Fox Hunt, the remake also features a Snake vs. Bomberman mode and one where he has to round-up monkeys from Ape Escape. Despite the new content, however, much of the base game appears to be an exceedingly faithful retread of the 2000s-era stealth thriller, just with modern controls and other tweaks to make it more approachable for new audiences. The original is still available to play as part of the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection released back in 2023. . For the latest news, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
