Reports: Saints trade DT Khalen Saunders to Jags for OL Luke Fortner

Reuters3 days ago
August 18 - The Jacksonville Jaguars are acquiring veteran defensive tackle Khalen Saunders in a trade that sends offensive lineman Luke Fortner to the New Orleans Saints, according to multiple reports on Sunday night.
The teams played to a 17-17 tie in a preseason game Sunday in New Orleans, with reports of the trade coming later.
Saunders, who turned 29 on Aug. 9, started 27 of the 30 games he played for the Saints the past two seasons, including 10 starts in 13 games last season when he had 43 tackles, two sacks and five quarterback hits.
His only career interception came in 2024 in a loss to former teammate Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs.
In his six-year career, Saunders has logged 181 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 17 QB hits and one interception in 68 regular-season games (32 starts) for the Chiefs (2019-22) and Saints. He was on two Super Bowl championship teams in 2019 and 2022 with Kansas City, which selected him in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Western Illinois.
Fortner, 27, was a third-round pick of the Jaguars in 2022 out of Kentucky. He has played in 51 regular-season games, starting his first 34 but serving as a reserve in 17 games in 2024. He was the team's starting center in 2022, when he also started both playoff games.

First video of Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson together resurfaces on social media... when she was just 21

When Bill Belichick was spotted walking around the New Orleans ' French Quarter in January 2023, local football fans were hoping he was in line to take over the struggling Saints. People paid little attention to the young woman walking alongside him in a pink top. But two-and-a-half years later, the footage appears to be the first time Belichick, now age 73, was seen with his 49-years-younger girlfriend Jordon Hudson. At the time the clip was taken, Hudson would have been just 21 years old, while Belichick would have been 70. The controversial couple appear unaware that they are being filmed in the footage that was first shared by the New Orleans travel Instagram page, New Orleans Lifestyle. 'When you randomly spot a Super Bowl winning coach and wish they were in town for a job interview,' the caption read. Exactly what the couple were there for is unclear but Belichick would have been absolved of any major football commitments at the time. His New England Patriots team had failed to reach the NFL playoffs and Belichick would go on and have just one more season as the team's head coach before departing after 24 seasons. Combining with Tom Brady, they won six Super Bowl titles together. Belichick and Hudson, meanwhile, first met on a flight from Boston to Tampa in 2021, when the NFL great was in a relationship with his now ex-girlfriend Linda Holliday. The timeline of when things with Holliday broke down and how his relationship with Hudson became romantic is unclear but Belichick's split with Holliday was confirmed in September 2022. They had been together for 16 years. Back in February, Hudson and Belichick returned to New Orleans for the Super Bowl, where they watched the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs. They attended several lavish events together leading up to football's showpiece game, while also stunning onlookers by going for a drink in an Irish bar packed with NFL fans on one night. Since then, Hudson has made a series of calamitous PR mis-steps that have caused so much scrutiny on the couple, the idea of walking down the street unnoticed is now nothing but a fantasy. The most notable self-inflicted humiliation came when Belichick gave an interview to CBS. From off-camera, Hudson interrupted to stop a visibly uncomfortable Belichick from answering a question on how they met - something CBS said happened repeatedly during the interview. Recently, two podcasters from 'The Sports Gossip Show' detailed a week of excuciating exchanges between themselves and Hudson. They were keen to have her as a guest on their show but amid a growing sense of unease from speaking to Hudson, talks ended with Belichick's girlfriend 'yelling and crying' on the phone at how they had mocked her appearing at a beauty pageant. It remains to be seen how much Hudson has curbed her appetite for center stage but for Belichick, a huge day is approaching with his first game at college level as head coach of University of North Carolina. They face TCU on Monday, September 1 - a massively anticipated game for plenty of reasons off the field after the last few months.

Tiffany's glitzy U.S. Open pop-up includes a diamond-encrusted tennis racket

If you thought the U.S. Open was all about baseline rallies and hard-fought tiebreaks, think again. This year, Tiffany & Co. is serving up as much sparkle as spin with its 2025 pop-up at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, including a diamond-encrusted tennis racket. The immersive space, located in the bustling Fountain Plaza, is impossible to miss thanks to a giant Tiffany Blue tennis ball anchoring the corner. Step inside and you'll find a display of the Men's and Women's Singles Championship trophies, gleaming sterling-silver cups that Tiffany's master silversmiths have been handcrafting in their Rhode Island workshop for nearly 40 years. Each trophy takes around six months to produce, with more than 60 hours of engraving, polishing and polishing again until they gleam like Serena's forehand. But the real showstopper this year is a bespoke HardWear by Tiffany tennis racket set with nearly five carats of diamonds across its face. Paired with a 24-karat gold vermeil tennis ball stitched with another seven carats of diamonds, the glittering duo is less about topspin and more about jaw drops. It's the kind of racket you don't take to a hitting session—you hire security to guard it courtside. That balance of tradition and excess is exactly Tiffany's point. The brand has long been tennis royalty, having produced every U.S. Open trophy since 1987 (not to mention the Super Bowl's Vince Lombardi Trophy and the NBA Finals' Larry O'Brien). But alongside the silversmith heritage, the pop-up leans into modern spectacle: an exclusive AI activation built with Meta lets fans envision themselves as center-court champs, complete with a digital takeaway to remember it by. Call it a trophy selfie, elevated. The pop-up runs throughout the tournament, from now through September 7, giving tennis fans and jewelry lovers alike a chance to wander in, ogle the diamonds and maybe daydream about holding a Tiffany-crafted trophy aloft. Even if your game is more pickleball than pro tour, the experience is a reminder that at the U.S. Open, glamor shines just as brightly as grit.
