Operation HOPE Founder John Hope Bryant and Business Leader Chaitra Dalton-Bryant Honored with Medal of Valor by Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation
ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Operation HOPE is proud to announce that its Founder, Chairman, and CEO John Hope Bryant, alongside his wife, entrepreneur and philanthropist Chaitra Dalton-Bryant, have been awarded the Medal of Valor by the Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation (AJCF). The prestigious award was presented at AJCF's 2025 Annual Gala in New York City, in recognition of their leadership, compassion, and commitment to building bridges between Black and Jewish communities, and to combating hatred in all its forms. The Bryants were honored alongside a distinguished cohort of changemakers, including Grammy-winning artist Victory Boyd, activist Malynda Hale, Pastor Carl Day, and entrepreneur Raymond Leon Roker. All were recognized for their participation in the AJCF-EXODUS Delegation to Poland, a powerful pilgrimage earlier this year commemorating the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. Led by Van Jones—Emmy Award-winner, CNN commentator, and founder of The Dream Machine—the January 2025 delegation journeyed through Holocaust memorial sites in Auschwitz, Kraków, and Warsaw, engaging with survivors, educators, and Jewish leaders. The experience emphasized the enduring need to fight antisemitism, anti-Black racism, and bigotry through truth-telling, education, and cross-community solidarity. 'This honor underscores the importance of our shared humanity,' said John Hope Bryant. 'In the face of rising hatred and division, we must remember the lessons of history and work together to build a world rooted in dignity, empathy, and justice.' Chaitra Dalton-Bryant, founder and Chief Wellness Officer of The Art of Wellness and Chair, National Minority Health Association, added: 'As an African-American woman and business leader focused on healing and wellbeing, I believe deeply in the power of courageous conversations and collective healing. This award reflects a call to action for all of us to lead with love.' John Hope Bryant founded Operation HOPE in 1992 to expand economic opportunity and financial literacy in underserved communities. Through its national network of HOPE Inside locations, the organization has served more than 4 million individuals and continues to champion what Bryant calls "Silver Rights"—economic empowerment as the civil rights issue of our time. The Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation's Medal of Valor is awarded to individuals who exemplify moral courage, leadership, and a steadfast commitment to fighting hatred. This year's gala also marked AJCF's 25th anniversary and celebrated 20 years of its American Service Academies Program (ASAP), an educational initiative for future U.S. military leaders focused on the lessons of the Holocaust and ethical leadership. 'We are deeply honored by this recognition and humbled to be part of a long-standing tradition of Black and Jewish partnership,' said Bryant. 'Together, we must continue to stand up, speak out, and lead forward.' About Operation HOPE: Since 1992, Operation HOPE has been moving America from civil rights to "silver rights" with the mission of making free enterprise and capitalism work for the underserved—disrupting poverty for millions of low and moderate-income youth and adults across the nation. Through its community uplift model, HOPE Inside, which received the 2016 Innovator of the Year recognition by American Banker magazine, Operation HOPE has served more than 4 million individuals and directed more than $4.2 billion in economic activity into disenfranchised communities—turning check-cashing customers into banking customers, renters into homeowners, small business dreamers into small business owners, minimum wage workers into living wage consumers, and uncertain disaster victims into financially empowered disaster survivors. About the Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation: The Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation is dedicated to combating antisemitism and bigotry through Holocaust education and remembrance. AJCF operates the last remaining synagogue in Oświęcim, Poland and reaches global audiences through programs that promote tolerance, ethical leadership, and historical truth.

'The Chosen: Last Supper': Where to watch Season 5 on streaming Show Caption Hide Caption Meet the star who plays Jesus on 'The Chosen' The star who plays Jesus in the 'The Chosen' reveals why this adaption of Jesus' story is so impactful. The wait is over: "The Chosen: Last Supper," the fifth season of TV's biblical epic, arrives on Amazon Prime June 15. The eight-episode installment, which screened in theaters last March and April, resumes where Season 4 left off, capturing a crowd celebrating the arrival in Jerusalem of Jesus (Jonathan Roumie) at the start of the week (known as Palm Sunday) and ending before Jesus' arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane. 'Season 5 is our most intense yet,' says Dallas Jenkins, creator of the first multi-season historical drama about Jesus. 'There are a million people all in one city, the enemies, the followers, the friends, the believers, the antagonists. They're all together, and they're all plotting either for or against Jesus.' 'This is the season where some of the most iconic moments in history are taking place," Jenkins says. "You've got the triumphal entry into Jerusalem. You've got the turning over of the tables in the temple. You got the Last Supper. You got Judas' betrayal.' Yet even the small moments are impactful, Jenkins says, like when Jesus is by himself, shouldering the agony to come. 'What he's thinking about happening in the future, what he's thinking about happening in the past and what he knows is going to happen this week, it's got such dramatic weight to it that it feels big, even though it's just one person," Jenkins says. How to watch 'The Chosen: Last Supper' Season 5 of "The Chosen" streams on Amazon's Prime Video. Arnold Schwarzenegger wants family movie with Patrick Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt
Arnold Schwarzenegger is keen to make a movie with Patrick Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt. The 77-year-old actor is open to the idea of a collaboration with his 31-year-old son and son-in-law - who married his daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019 - but insisted they wouldn't do so for the sake of it as the script would have to be good enough. He told E! News of the possibility: "It's one of those things that if there's a great script, then of course, we would do it. "But you can't just make up this stuff. You can't just say, 'OK, let's just put the three together in a movie and not have a great script.' " The Fubar star called on filmmakers to make the project happen. He said: "You don't have to talk about it, just do it." Arnold - who, as well as Katherine, 35, and Patrick, 31, also has Christina, 33, and Christopher, 27, with ex-wife Maria Shriver and Joseph Baena, 27, with Mildren Baena - is also open to the idea of following in his son's footsteps and starring in The White Lotus. Asked if he'd be interested in a role in the anthology series, he said: "Whenever I see something good, I am interested in it, so we will see." The former Governor of California is delighted to witness Patrick's success because his son has always been interested in acting. He said: "Patrick always had a love for show business. He has spent a lot of time on the set with me when he was a kid. He was doing his homework in my movie trailer, he was watching me shooting on stage. I think he got the desire right then and there." Meanwhile, the veteran action star is excited about the new season of Fubar, even if he finds certain physical scenes "very, very tough" these days. He teased: "The second season is a lot, a lot of great, great action, and also really funny moments. "The actual sequences are very, very tough to do, especially when you do night shoots and all that. But it's a lot of fun." While Arnold is proud of Patrick, he recently admitted he was shocked when his son stripped naked in The White Lotus. During a joint interview for Variety's 'Actors on Actors' series, he told his son: "I couldn't believe [it]. "I said to myself, 'I'm watching your show, and I'm watching your butt sticking out there.' And all of a sudden, I see the weenie. "What is going on here? This is crazy. "Then I said to myself, 'Well, Arnold, hello. You did the same thing in Conan and Terminator, so don't complain about it.' "But it was a shock to me that you were following my footsteps so closely."
