Shiny Doshi: The best things in my life came unplanned

Time of Indiaa day ago

Shiny Doshi, who has been absent from television since her role in Pandya Store in 2023, reveals that her break was unplanned due to a lack of appealing roles. She cherishes the experience of married life after a life of continuous work and appreciates her husband's support.
Shiny Doshi has been away from the small screen for the past couple of years. The actress, who was last seen in Pandya Store (2023), says that the break has been unintentional. 'Nothing exciting has come my way.
I got married in 2021 while shooting for Pandya Store and spent the first two years of my marriage working every day. It was only after the show ended that I truly experienced what marriage felt like. My husband has been incredibly supportive. Plus, this break has given me time to reflect, grow and just be myself.'
The actress, who has featured in TV shows like Bahu Humari Rajni_Kant and Jamai Raja, is happy with the way her career has shaped up so far.
She shares, 'I kept going to television. Once I achieved financial stability, I started understanding and appreciating the craft more deeply. Looking back over the past 13-14 years, I've realised that nothing I planned worked out as expected, but when I let go and surrendered, magic happened.
The best things in my life came unplanned.'
Shiny Doshi is married. She married Lavesh Khairajani on July 15, 2021. Their wedding ceremony was a close-knit affair attended by just 25 people, including their immediate families and friends. The actress had to follow the norms due to the pandemic in 2021. She had said in an earlier interview, "We couldn't invite many people due to Covid-19 restricitons."

Kamal Haasan appeals to slash ticket prices in Tamil Nadu ahead of Thug Life's release

Kamal Haasan seems to be leaving no stone unturned ahead of the release of his film Thug Life. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the gangster action drama has justified all the hype among fans and across social media. And now the senior Tamil actor has taken a surprising step ahead of the big theatrical launch of his film. Kamal Haasan appeals for reduced ticket prices in Tamil Nadu After an appeal made by Kamal Haasan regarding the high ticket prices for theaters in Tamil Nadu, the state government has now slashed the LBET (Local Bodies Entertainment Tax) from 8.6 percent to 4. This order will be applied way ahead of Thug Life's theatrical release and so the action thriller might face the expected impact of this move. More footfall of audiences will be marked in the theaters now. Why did Kamal Haasan appeal for a reduction of ticket prices? Kamal Haasan pleaded for the reduction of heavy taxes and thereby the cost of theater tickets, owing to the financial struggles faced by the Tamil film industry in recent times, especially post the Covid-19 pandemic. The fact that the change was brought about right ahead of Thug Life's release indicates the chances of it bringing better luck for the film's first impression among audiences. More about Thug Life Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan collaborated for the second time after their film Nayakan back in the day. Actors like Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi and more are a part of the movie. Thug Life has a total run time of 2 hours and 45 minutes and has only a few cuss words dropped by the CBFC. The storyline of the film revolves around Sakthivel, who is presumed dead. However, he makes an astonishing comeback, with vengeance against his brother and foster son, who were responsible for planning to murder him in the first place.

Did Vivian Dsena and Shilpa Shirodkar's friendship fall out after Bigg Boss 18?

Bigg Boss 18, the latest season of the controversial reality show, was one of the most talked-about seasons to date. A significant highlight of the season was Shilpa Shirodkar's friendship with Karan Veer Mehra and Vivian Dsena. While Shilpa and Karan Veer's bond remains strong after the show, her connection with Vivian has faded. In a recent interview, Shilpa revealed that she is no longer in touch with Vivian and doesn't miss him. During a conversation with Zoom, Shilpa Shirodkar was asked if she misses her friendship with Vivian. She candidly responded that she does not miss him, stating, "I have not at all been ashamed or embarrassed by Vivian. He was the first friend I made in that house." Reflecting on their time in Bigg Boss 18, Shilpa explained that the initial days were tough for Vivian as he was simply being himself. Shilpa highlighted that others struggled to understand Vivian's way of speaking and mannerisms, but she had seen a softer side of him. The actress revealed that she and Vivian Dsena are currently not in touch. She praised Vivian but mentioned that she had met him last on the Laughter Chefs 2 set. The Bigg Boss 18 fame further explained, "He did what he did and said what he said—that was probably the best thing for him (as) he was just talking his heart out. I was being me. We both were being ourselves. Rishte kabhi aage chale toh chale, nahi chale toh nahi chale (If relationships move forward, they do; if they don't, they don't). There is no love lost. But my best wishes are with him always." For the uninformed, after Bigg Boss 18, Shilpa is closely in touch with her close friends Chum Darang, Karan Veer Mehra and Digvijay Rathee. The group often meets and shares pictures on social media. Recently, the actress was in the headlines when she disclosed that she was diagnosed with Covid-19.
