RANGERS have had to pull the plug on another glamour fixture Down Under, according to a report.
Three years ago plans for an Old Firm derby to take place in Australia were shelved but the Light Blues were due to fly there for an end-of-season friendly later this month.

According to the Daily Record, the Ibrox club had lined up a clash with Olympiacos on May 28.
These plans were initially conjured up at the start of this season, with the hope that Rangers would be heading to Australia as Scottish Cup winners (and potentially Premiership champions).
The trip was supposed to last five days, with the squad flying out on Monday, May 26 and returning on Friday, May 30 (the cup final is on Sunday, May 25), playing the Greek giants in between.
However, the tour was cancelled when Gers reached the last eight of the Europa League - the same competition they face Olympiacos in earlier in the season.
Ibrox bosses were forced to think quick when the club beat Fenerbahce to reach the last eight.
That result meant there was a strong possibility they could feature in the final of the Europa League which is due to take place on Wednesday, May 21.
The back-and-forth between travelling to Manchester for the semi-final against Manchester United, coming back to Scotland and then heading out to Spain and for the final before again returning to Scotland was viewed as too much of a strain on the players and staff, with a 23-hour long haul-flight to Australia not thought of lightly.
Rangers would of course go on to lose to Athletic Bilbao in their quarter-final tie, but a decision had to be made before then.
This revelation means it's the second time Gers have called off a visit to Australia.
When Ange Postecoglou was in charge of the Hoops, a never-seen-before Down Under derby was mooted, in a November tournament called the Sydney Cup.

But it was met with negative reaction by fans of both clubs - particularly Rangers - and the Light Blues pulled out of negotations.
Celtic pressed on with their own tour of Oz, seen as a homecoming for boss Postecoglou.

Premiership rebrands to become the 'Prem' from next season

The Premiership - the top flight of English rugby union - will become the 'Gallagher Prem' next season as it rebrands to emphasise the physicality and intensity of the makeover will include a new orange logo which will be shown to fans, both at Allianz Stadium and watching on television, before Saturday's final between Bath and Leicester is hoped that shortening the league's name will help it "talk how fans talk" and give it a less corporate, more informal also believe showcasing the confrontational nature of the sport, alongside players' athleticism and skill, will draw in new, younger fans. The Premiership says it recorded 30% growth in fans between the ages of 18-34 between 2023 and 2024."The research showed physicality was a key part of the appeal of rugby," the Premiership's chief growth officer Rob Calder told BBC Sport."That came through very strongly, not just with existing audiences, but wider audiences as well."It can't just simply be that. There's got to be some light and dark to it."That's where the incredible skill, the incredible pace, the decision-making under pressure is so important. Precision in training and then bravery in execution."We want to talk about all those things." Ange Postecoglou 'is lined up by top Saudi Arabia side' - just a week after brutal Tottenham sacking

Ange Postecoglou could be set for a swift return to the dugout, according to reports The 59-year-old Australian was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur last week, 16 days after he led the club to their first silverware since 2008. Victory in Bilbao served as a glorious conclusion to what had been an otherwise disastrous campaign for the north London club. In a season in which his squad was ravaged by slew of injuries, further compounded by a congested fixture list, Spurs suffered 22 league defeats, a club record in a 38-game season. Postecoglou could now head to the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Ahli eyeing him for the managerial role, according to the Telegraph. He is being lined up as a potential successor to Matthias Jaissle, whose future at the club remains uncertain despite guiding them to the AFC Champions League title last month. Jaissle, 37, has attracted interest from Europe after leading a team packed with stars - including Ivan Toney, Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez and Edouard Mendy - to continental glory against Kawasaki Frontale. Bundesliga side RB Leipzig and several Premier League clubs are understood to be tracking him. A move to Saudi Arabia would see Postecoglou return to Asia having previously won the J1 League with Yokohama F. Marinos. Following his Tottenham exit, Postecoglou himself released a parting statement, reflecting on his two years at the club with pride. The statement read: 'When I reflect on my time as Manager of Tottenham Hotspur my overriding emotion is one of pride. 'The opportunity to lead one of England's historic football clubs and bring back the glory it deserves will live with me for a lifetime. Sharing that experience with all those who truly love this club and seeing the impact it had on them is something I will never forget. 'That night in Bilbao was the culmination of two years of hard work, dedication and unwavering belief in a dream. There were many challenges to overcome and plenty of noise that comes with trying to accomplish what many said was not possible. 'We have also laid foundations that mean this club should not have to wait 17 more years for their next success. I have enormous faith in this group of players and know there is much more potential and growth in them. 'I sincerely want to thank those who are the lifeblood of the club, the supporters. I know there were some difficult times but I always felt that they wanted me to succeed and that gave me all the motivation I needed to push on. 'It's important to acknowledge the hard working people at Spurs who gave me encouragement on a daily basis. 'And finally, I want to thank those who were with me every day for the last two years. A fantastic group of young men who are now legends of this football club and the brilliant coaches who never once doubted we could do something special.
