
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Inaugurates OPG Mobility's Dealership In Nagpur
Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has inaugurated OPG Mobility's new Ferrato dealership in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The new electric two-wheeler showroom is part of the company's expansion plan to contribute to increasing electric vehicle adoption in central India. It is to be noted that the dealership is operated by Vajra E Scooter.
The opening of the dealership represents a key milestone for OPG Mobility, previously known as Okaya EV, as it establishes a footprint in the central region of Maharashtra. This facility unifies both sales and service operations, providing customers with thorough support for their electric vehicle ownership experience.
The newly launched showroom showcases the entire range of Ferrato electric two-wheelers, featuring high-speed models like DEFY 22, Faast F4, F3, F2T, F2F, and F2B, as well as low-speed options including Freedum LI and LA, along with the premium Disruptor electric motorcycle. This product assortment caters to a variety of customer needs across different usage styles and price ranges.

Cabinet picks firm to build Unity Mall
Panaji: The state cabinet on Wednesday selected Comt Constructions Pvt Ltd, the lowest bidder, to construct the Unity Mall at Chimbel at a cost of Rs 161 crore. State govt transferred 25,000sqm of land at Chimbel belonging to the IT department, to the tourism department for the Unity Mall and allied activities. Unity Mall is a scheme backed by the Union finance ministry to carry forward the concept of ' Make In India ' and to promote 'one district, one product' and handicrafts. A DPR in this regard was submitted by state govt to the Union finance ministry. The latter approved the DPR and sanctioned Rs 100 crore for the construction of Unity Malls under part VI of a scheme called 'Special assistance to state for capital investment 2023-24'. The ministry also released 50% of the approved amount to state govt to initiate the work on the project.

Silchar: Union minister of state for DoNER and education, Sukanta Majumdar, on Wednesday said the Narendra Modi-led govt has given "special emphasis" to the northeast, which is now poised to become India's "growth engine". "Prime Minister Modi has visited the northeast over 60 times — more than all previous PMs combined. This reflects the centre's dedication to the region's development," he said. Majumdar highlighted recent initiatives, including the Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav and The Rising North East Investors Summit 2025, aimed at attracting industrial investment. "We are laying the foundation for a developed Northeast, which will soon drive India's growth story," he added. Criticising past Congress govts, Majumdar said the region remained underdeveloped due to decades of neglect. "Congress ignored the northeast, but under BJP, we are witnessing real change," he said. Assam minister Kaushik Rai, who was also present in the meet, spoke on infrastructure development in the Barak Valley.

CM, Chauhan to attend farmer meet in Bardoli
Surat: As part of the celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a farmers' meet will be held in Bardoli, the karmabhoomi of Sardar Patel, on Thursday. Chief minister Bhupendra Patel will preside over the event with the special attendance of Union agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. The nationwide Krushi Sankalp Abhiyan will conclude at the meet. The movement was launched by Chauhan from Odisha on May 29. As part of the farmers' conference, centres of excellence for horticultural crops, bananas and vegetables, a primary processing centre and a crop storage warehouse will be inaugurated virtually. Additionally, the foundation stone for the centre of excellence for sugarcane will be laid in Bardoli. This year marks the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel with programmes across the nation celebrating the 'Ek Bharat, Unnat Bharat' concept. Prime Minister Narendra Modi guided the path to making farmers and agriculture self-reliant through the Krushi Sankalp Abhiyan held across the country from May 29 to June 12. As part of the campaign, agricultural technology was taken to villages and farmers were educated on the proper use of micronutrients, covering over four lakh farmers at 2,250 rural clusters in 31 districts of Gujarat. A centre of excellence for horticultural crops in Porbandar district, one for bananas and vegetables in Petlad, and the primary processing centre in Kutch will be inaugurated virtually. Fourteen warehouses with a total storage capacity of 25,000 metric tonnes will also be inaugurated. The foundation stone for the centre of excellence for sugarcane will also be laid in Bardoli.
