Costa Coffee gets new additions to food menu and brings back 'elite' viral drink

Daily Mirror01-07-2025
Costa Coffee have brought back a fan favourite drink, which can be enjoyed hot or cold, plus a number of new food treats are joining the menu from this week
Every now and then it is nice to treat yourself to lunch out or a speciality coffee – and this week coffee fans can get their hands on one of their favourite treats as Costa Coffee is bringing back a viral drink from last summer that people could not get enough of. Plus, there are a number of new treats joining the menu said to be perfect for grabbing on the go. The updated menu will hit chains around the UK from Thursday (July 3).
"Whether you're soaking up the sunshine or simply taking a well-earned break, there's something delicious waiting for you in-store this season," a spokesperson for Costa said.

The fan-favourite Spanish Latte is making a comeback following its popularity last year. Inspired by global coffee trends and loved by customers across the UK, the drink combines espresso with steamed milk and a condensed milk-flavoured sauce, topped with a dusting of cappuccino. It can be enjoyed hot or cold and is said to boasts a "dreamy" flavour.

A third chimed in: "Can confirm it's very nice."
Fellow TikToker @theflavourdiary also noted: "The condensed milk gives it a nice sweetness without it being too sweet at the same time."
Plus, coffee fans can also enjoy a new and improved "silkier" recipe for the latte range. Available in two delicious flavours, classic and caramel.
Also joining the menu are a new range of Barista Bites. Costa states that they are thoughtfully crafted for life on-the-go, summer strolls, or laid-back afternoons in the park, these bite-sized snacks bring flavour to any moment.

You can enjoy Cheese Barista Bites - golden, crumb-coated bites of melted cheese, served with a tangy tomato chutney for a satisfying, savoury snack - or High Protein Chicken Barista Bites. The chicken bites are breaded and served with a smoky chipotle BBQ dip, delivering big flavour and a protein boost.
Plus, a new dessert has launched - a Tiramisu Cookie Sandwich. It is a rich dark chocolate cookie sandwich filled with a tiramisu-inspired, creamy coffee frosting, finished with icing and cocoa powder. It's the ultimate treat for dessert lovers.

Speaking about the menu shake up, Nishant Bhatia, Global Food and Beverage Innovation Director for Costa Coffee, said: "At Costa Coffee, we believe Summer should taste as good as it feels, and this year, we've taken inspiration from around the world to bring those holiday flavours a little closer to home.
"From the smooth sweetness of the Spanish Latte to the Tiramisu Cookie Sandwich inspired by the classic Italian dessert, it's all about helping our customers taste a little bit of Summer, one sip or bite at a time."
She added: "And for those in the mood to snack, our Barista Bites are a fun new food format for Costa Coffee – perfect for enjoying in-store or grabbing on-the-go as you make the most of those sunny days."
These new additions to Costa Coffee's summer menu are available in-stores nationwide from Thursday July 3.

The AI trick that means you can ‘sell anything' on Vinted & it's perfect if you're a rubbish photographer

Plus, everything you need to know about paying tax on items sold on Vinted SO 'APPY The AI trick that means you can 'sell anything' on Vinted & it's perfect if you're a rubbish photographer Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) ARE you desperate to make some extra cash on Vinted but are having no success? Thousands of cash-savvy fashionistas are using the popular marketplace to flog their pre-loved garments, with some raking in over £5k. But while this may save you time, shoppers are more likely to click 'Buy' when they see what the item looks like on a person. When using Vinted, photos are key if you want to make quick cash - but what to do if you're rubbish at taking snaps? According to one TikToker, there's a solution - and it means you won't have to model any of the garments either. Taking to TikTok, the savvy fashionista revealed she was using a special app that generates photos for her - and the ''super simple trick'' has made her Vinted sales ''go way up''. Before discovering the game-changer of a solution, the TikToker would post images of the second-hand items on a hanger - a method many sellers use. The technique rarely worked in her favour though, as the pieces ''took forever to sell or never did''. However now, the seller uses VintyLook to create AI-generated photos of the clothing being worn by a 'person'. This, she said in the video, meant there's ''no modelling'' and ''no stress'' involved. One of the items she managed to flog thanks to the app was a tie dye long-sleeve top, which the TikToker first listed with a basic photo on the bed. I was so smug to bag a £1k designer gown for £60 on Vinted but the item I received was 'terrible' and not even close ''Poor lighting, bad angles, nothing worked.'' But VintyLook instantly made the listing and photo more interesting - and the same top was allegedly sold in just two days. Raving about the hack, the TikToker (@vintylook) wrote in the caption: ''It's called VintyLook, you paste your listing link and it generates a clean 'worn' photo for you. ''I've been doing this for a week and already sold more than the past month.'' According to the site, which boasts more an impressive 4.9-star rating, ''unengaging photos slow down sales and limit your reach''. Do you need to pay tax on items sold on Vinted? QUICK facts on tax from the team at Vinted... The only time that an item might be taxable is if it sells for more than £6,000 and there is profit (sells for more than you paid for it). Even then, you can use your capital gains tax-free allowance of £3,000 to offset it. Generally, only business sellers trading for profit (buying goods with the purpose of selling for more than they paid for them) might need to pay tax. Business sellers who trade for profit can use a tax-free allowance of £1,000, which has been in place since 2017. More information here: ''VintyLook solves this by generating professional-quality visuals, increasing your visibility and attracting more buyers.'' So far, there have been over 28,000 jaw-dropping transformations, with many sellers giving the service the maximum of five stars. One delighted Vinted user said: ''My sales doubled in a week thanks to the new photos!'' Another chimed in: ''Simple interface and stunning results, I recommend it!'' ''The image quality is incredible, it changes everything for my listings,'' a third left a rave review.
