O'Brien thanks Swansea
Lewis O'Brien has bid farewell to Swansea City - for the time being at least.

The midfielder has been a huge hit since arriving on loan from Nottingham Forest in January, and has been a big part of boss Alan Sheehan's plans, having started all 16 games for the club since making his debut under previous coach Luke Williams in the win over Bristol City. O'Brien has already stated he'd be open to making a return should the opportunity arise, while director of football Richard Montague has similarly admitted the club would love to keep him on board.
However, given he is still contracted to the club, any decision over the 26-year-old's future is likely to be in Forest's hands this summer.
There's a chance O'Brien may well be made available given he's unlikely to force his way into the first team picture at the City Ground next season, but any move would likely prove testing for the Swans.

Even if Forest were to entertain another loan bid, they would likely want a fee, while the player's wage demands could also prove a significant stumbling block.
"I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Swansea City for the past few months," O'Brien said in a message to the Jack Army on social media. "The staff, my teammates, and especially the fans who welcomed me with open arms. It's been a privilege to wear the shirt and be part of this club. I've learned a lot during my time here and will always be grateful for the experience. "Once a Jack, always a Jack!"
Hacken chief speaks out on Inoussa move
Hacken director of football Martin Ericsson says Swansea City have signed a player capable of presenting a 'constant threat' to opponents in Zeidane Inoussa.

The winger, who has signed a five-year deal at the club for an undisclosed fee, is poised to link up with his new club on July 1, and Ericsson says the move is testament to the work being done at the club.
"It is yet another confirmation that our model is successful," he said.
"First of all, I am happy for Zeidane. We have had a clear plan with him from the start and the fact that it is now becoming a reality shows once again that we can sell, are interesting in that market and have a good environment where we are good at developing players.

"Zeidane has been important for us, despite the two longer injury periods 'Z' has had. His individual skill, speed and physique make him a constant threat to the opponent and he has contributed strongly in, among other things, the European game last year and the fine cup game we had this year."
Wales move 'likely'
Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes admits Bobby Wales is likely to complete a move to Swansea City this summer.
The 19-year-old is understood to have agreed a four-year deal with the Swans, which will come into effect once he has seen out his current contract at Rugby Park.

However, it seems there are still a few items to be ironed out before the deal is officially completed, with a compensation fee also likely to be required, which early indications suggest could be around £300,000. Sources in SA1 remain confident the deal will happen, although the player is, at the time of writing, yet to undergo a medical. Indeed, it's likely the forward's immediate focus is likely to be on the rest of the Scottish Premiership season.
Speaking after his side's 2-0 win over St Johnstone, McInnes said: "I don't think anything has been finalised, but it's looking likely.

"I spoke to Bobby at the back end of last week and the start of this week and I think the deal's looking likely.
"But it's still not done yet. I think once that does get done, we can speak about that and wish Bobby on his way.
"I can't really say with any certainty if the reports are accurate. All I can say is that there is an interest. But I don't think it's finalised yet."

Mary Earps' decision has left major unseen issue behind says former England star

Carly Telford knows what it is like to go to a tournament as second choice, having done so for the 2019 World Cup, and the 27-cap Lioness has given her opinion on Mary Earps' decision to retire from international football Carly Telford believes Mary Earps' retirement represents a 'huge loss' to the England squad on the eve of the European Championships but insists she retains 'huge respect' for her fellow goalkeeper. Earps stunned the footballing world by announcing her decision last week after reportedly being told by Lionesses boss Sarina Wiegman that she would not be first choice for the defence of England's European crown. Telford, who boasts 27 caps for England between the sticks, believes the squad's remaining goalkeepers will suffer for the loss of Earps' experience in Switzerland. ‌ 'For me, it's a huge loss in terms of the GK union,' she said. 'It's always super important to have some experience in there. You'd be shocked when any player that plays well retires and probably think it's too early, or it's an age where they shouldn't, but there's never an age that you should or shouldn't retire. ‌ 'From a player perspective, everyone's journey should be in their control, and I have a huge respect for Mary. 'It's not something you just think overnight, and you're like, 'Oh, you know what, I can't really be bothered anymore. I don't fancy this.' 'It would have taken months of conversations with family, with friends, with teammates, with coaches, to work out, 'Is this the right thing for me? How do I feel when I put on that shirt? How do I feel when I go to camp?'' Earps, 32, was England's number one when they won the Euros in 2022 in a historic summer for women's football and kept that spot for the Lionesses' run to the final a year later, when she was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year. She has also been influential off the pitch, notably inspiring with award acceptance speeches and winning a battle with Nike to get women's goalkeeper replica shirts on sale. 'Her journey's been her journey, and it has been an incredible one,' added Telford, speaking at Sure's Breaking Limits Pitch Day, hosted at Stamford Bridge. "What she's done for English goalkeeping, and goalkeeping in general, and for women, has been something that's probably unheard of in the women's game in England, as an individual. I can't thank her enough for that. ‌ 'A lot of people are disappointed in the way it's been delivered, but I hope that people remember the legacy that she's left. That goalkeeper union is in a much better place because of her, and I'd like to think she's given them all the tools to be successful in the next few years.' In April, Wiegman said that Chelsea 's Hannah Hampton was 'a little bit ahead' of Earps when it came to securing the number one jersey. It is an experience Telford knows all too well from her time competing with Karen Bardsley for the spot, travelling to France for the 2019 World Cup as second choice. ‌ On that occasion, an injury to Bardsley in the World Cup quarterfinals saw Telford called upon for the semi-final encounter with the USA. 'It's really difficult because there's a part of you that knows that you're probably never going to play, but also there's always a what if,' added Telford, who is partnering with Sure to give young girls the authentic role models they deserve in a sport that is growing exponentially. 'What I learned on my journey as a goalkeeper is not to be like, 'Oh, I'm not going to play, I'm not going to be bothered.' 'I would say to all the goalkeepers that are in the mix for that selection pot, including the ones that we think are going to start, is to make sure you're prepared fully because you never know what tournament football's going to throw at you.' Visibility plays a vital role in inspiring young girls in sports, but it alone isn't enough. Increased visibility needs to be paired with real world grassroots investment – like Sure's Breaking Limits Programme – find out more here

Spain vs France TV channel and live stream: How to watch Nations League clash

Spain and France will lock horns tonight as both sides look to claim a place in the Nations League final. The reigning European Champions Spain are also the current holders of the Nations League, but face a tough task against France who won this competition back in 2021. Didier Deschamps' side is littered with youthful talent, with many, such as Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue, turning up for international duty just a matter of days after their Champions League triumph with Paris Saint-Germain. Both sides needed the help of penalties to come through their Nations League quarter-final clashes, with Spain overcoming the Netherlands and France edging past Croatia. The winner on Thursday will take on Portgual in the final after they won 2-1 against Germany on away soil. Ahead of kick-off in the Nations League semi-final, here's everything you need to know, including the team news, match odds and how to watch the game on TV and live stream in the UK. The Nations League semi-final kicks off at 8pm at the MHPArena in Stuttgart, with coverage starting at 7.45pm. Fans can watch Spain vs France live on Amazon Prime, with coverage of the game also available on pay-per-view for £2.49. Dean Huijsen could make a start for Spain after completing his move from Bournemouth to Real Madrid. However, the semi-final comes too soon for Rodri who made his return from a lengthy ACL layoff at the end of the Premier League season. Elsewhere in midfield, Isco could be in line for a start after his impressive form for Real Betis in what would mark his first international appearance since 2019. France, meanwhile, will have to manage the fitness of several PSG stars following their Champions League triumph last weekend. Deschamps will also have to rotate his back line, with Dayot Upamecano, William Saliba and Jules Kounde all absent through injury. Spain: 5/4 Draw: 15/8 France: 17/10 Spain to progress; 8/11 More Trending France to progress: 11/10 Odds via Betfair (subject to change) The winner of tonight's semi-final will face Portgual in Sunday's final. Sarina Wiegman hits back at England crisis claim amid Lauren James injury update

Sarina Wiegman says decision for Mary Earps, Fran Kirby and Millie Bright to step aside before next month's defence of their Euros title is already in the past Sarina Wiegman insists England have already "moved on" from the surprise withdrawals of three stars before next month's defence of their European title. And the Dutch coach is convinced that the 23-player group named on Thursday has the perfect balance of youth and experience despite goalkeeper Mary Earps, midfielder Fran Kirby and defender Mille Bright all pulling out of contention. ‌ Those high-profile absences have prompted talk of a camp in crisis ahead of the trip to Switzerland but upbeat Wiegman says she has quickly consigned the bombshell announcements to the past. ‌ 'My experience before [at major tournaments] is that there is always noise,' said Wiegman. 'We expect noise until we go into the tournament. 'The difference now is that the visibility of the women's game has increased so it seems like there is more noise but there's just more journalists here which is right. 'We're not in crisis. It's not an unhappy group. You see parts of it. You're not in our environment all the time. I'm really happy with where we are now.' Earps, who was set to be second-choice goalkeeper behind Chelsea 's Hannah Hampton, quit 10 days ago with Kirby and Bright both pulling out earlier this week. The latter said her decision was to focus on both her mental and physical wellbeing. And Wiegman, defending her straight-shooter style, said: 'It's sad they are not in the team but at the same time it gives the opportunity for other players to be in the team. 'I'll always cherish what we have had, it's been a long period of time. It's been an incredible journey, lots of highs, and a couple of lows, it's part of football and part of life. I'll never forget that. At this moment, this situation, we've moved on and this is the squad we have now. I'm very happy with the squad.' ‌ Lauren James, sidelined by a hamstring injury since early April, has been named in the squad along with midfielder Georgia Stanway, the Bayern Munich star who has just returned from knee surgery. Wiegman said it was 'not a risk' to select James, who has already returned to training at Chelsea and will link up with the squad on June 16. She could be fit enough to feature in the send-off friendly against Jamaica in Leicester on June 29. ‌ Teenage Arsenal forward Michelle Agyemang, who scored on debut against Belgium in April, is included too, with Wiegman adding: "She brings something different. We're really strong up front. What she's shown is so much physicality.' England begin their title defence against France on July 5, take on the Netherlands on July 9 and finish Group D against Wales on July 13. England squad Goalkeepers: Hannah Hampton, Khiara Keating, Anna Moorhouse ‌
