Rasha Al Ali stated that the second batch of the Sharjah Program for qualifying and training job seekers comprises 788 trainees from various cities and regions across the emirate. She emphasised that this initiative goes beyond simple training, describing it as a strategic move to empower national talent.
Confident Workforce Readiness
In statements to "Sharjah24", Al Ali pointed out that the program equips trainees to confidently enter the labour market through comprehensive theoretical and practical training over six continuous months of development. She added, "We are confident that this batch will produce promising young individuals capable of contributing to various sectors, reflecting Sharjah's vision of investing in people first."
Workshops Across Sharjah
The training workshops are being held in five locations across Sharjah: Qasr Al Culture, the Human Resources Department branch in Mleiha, the Cultural Centre Theater in Khorfakkan, Kalba University Theater, and the Cultural Center Theater in Dibba Al Hisn.

Awards and financial support The Acting Head of Radio Content highlighted that the radio station provided direct financial support to the top three winners, with AED 15,000 for each. Additionally, the Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs (Ruwad) granted five licences, while Sharjah Islamic Bank contributed by opening bank accounts for three pioneering projects .

Ambition and new beginnings The Department's Training and Employment Section in the Human Resources Department launched the celebration with a specialised training workshop titled "An Ambitious Project: A Sustainable New Beginning," in cooperation with the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa). The workshop aims to provide young people with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in entrepreneurship and corporate work through practical and interactive programmes focused on developing personal capabilities, understanding labour market requirements, and establishing start-up projects. Smart buildings and sustainability During the event, the Corporate Communications Centre organised a tour for new employees to the Beeah building, an advanced model of environmental and architectural sustainability. Participating employees had the opportunity to learn about best practices in smart building design and sustainable operational processes, enhancing their understanding of the practical applications of sustainability in the workplace. Green proposals A competition was also organised for the best innovative youth proposal that contributes to improving the work environment, providing creative solutions to institutional challenges, or offering a green initiative in the work environment or projects. The competition saw remarkable interaction from participants, who presented a variety of ideas that were evaluated by a specialised committee. The winning idea will be adopted as part of the department's future development plans. Supporting innovation SDPW emphasised that organising this event aligns with its vision to support innovation, encourage youth initiatives, and empower a new generation of leaders and professionals capable of making a positive impact in their communities. The department noted that this type of programme reflects the department's commitment to investing in human capital and creating a work environment that encourages excellence and creativity. Social responsibility The celebration also included panel discussions presented by a group of experts and specialists, addressing several topics, including institutional sustainability, entrepreneurial thinking, setting professional priorities, and achieving a balance between personal ambitions and social responsibilities. This initiative is part of a series of programmes launched by the department to support its employees and youth in the local community, and to enhance cooperation with specialised entities to create a supportive and stimulating environment for the innovation of sustainable ideas and initiatives.

Al-Ali's experience and strategic role With a distinguished career spanning over 25 years in the banking sector, Al-Ali brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in corporate banking. In his new capacity, Al Ali will lead the strategic direction of Wholesale Banking in alignment with the Bank's vision, profitability targets, and regulatory requirements. Previous leadership roles Before joining Bank of Sharjah, Al-Ali held several senior leadership positions at prominent financial institutions. Most recently, he served as Senior Managing Director and Head of Commercial Banking for the UAE at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB). Prior to that, he spent over two decades at HSBC, where he held key positions including Deputy Regional Head of Corporate Client Coverage & Sectors for MENAT and Managing Director Deputy Head of Corporate & Commercial Banking UAE & Regional Head of Islamic Corporate Banking MENAT, among other senior assignments. Academic background and professional development Al-Ali holds a Master's in Big Data and Business Analytics from ESCP Business School and a Master's in International Business Law from the University of Paris - Sorbonne-Assas International Law School. He also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration from the Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai. Al-Ali is an alumnus of executive programmes at Harvard, Oxford, INSEAD, London Business School, and other leading institutions. He has also graduated from two flagship programmes (Young Leaders and Impactful Leaders) under Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development.
