Pacers facing tough Game 7 NBA Finals trend after tying series vs. Thunder
The Indiana Pacers created a far different celebration in front of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Pacers were the ones in party mode, on a night the Thunder was one win away from securing the title.

Indiana rushed through OKC with an impressive 108-91 trouncing at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Fans glued to the NBA Finals now will get treated to a Game 7. Indiana showed its heart is still beating in avoiding an OKC celebration.
But a certain trend is on the Pacers' side. One Indiana must find a way to scale.
Sportsnet Stats unveiled what Indiana now faces ahead of Sunday. Before both teams enter the Paycom Center for the final time.

But how did Indiana force the final game? Especially after being down by a large deficit early?
Chet Holmgren hit a finger roll layup to make it 10-2. OKC fans started to visualize a celebration after Thursday. But Pascal Siakam ignited the charge — banking a 16-foot jumper to spark the rally.
Siakam then threw down a thunderous dunk in front of Jalen Williams. That helped place a cap on a massive second quarter onslaught. Indiana led 28-25 after the first quarter, but outscored OKC with an astonishing 36-17 second quarter.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander faced triple teams. The reigning Most Valuable Player settled for a series low 21 points. Holmgren settled for just four points — as that layup represented his final time getting the ball inside the hoop. Game 5 hero Williams was even bottled, ending with 16 on the evening.

The Pacers watched Obi Toppin drop 20 off the bench. Toppin became one of six Pacers in double figures and nailed four three-pointers. Tyrese Haliburton went from hobbled to scoring 14 facing elimination. Andrew Nembhard rained down 17 points including hitting three from behind the arc.
Indiana is at a disadvantage still with the raucous crowd awaiting them. Plus the torrid history for road teams in Game 7. Although the last NBA Finals seventh game was won by the visitors. Indiana now can attempt to join the Cavs in NBA lore.

Fever vs. Mystics prediction: WNBA odds, picks, bets
The Indiana Fever continue to command the headlines. Caitlin Clark is the world's most popular women's basketball player, Sophie Cunningham generates buzz with various antics, and now their coach is criticizing officials. In its last game on Tuesday, Indy lost as a 9.5-point home favorite over the Dallas Wings, thanks to allowing a 19-0 run in the second half. Coach Stephanie White argued that All-Stars Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston are not officiated fairly and encounter too much contact without a whistle. The Fever host the Washington Mystics on Friday as 7.5-point favorites with a total of 161.5 points. Clark remains out, and now other injuries have relegated Indiana to a third-string point guard, as they recently signed Odyssey Sims. That has forced White to ask Mitchell and Cunningham to run the offense at times, though they primarily play off the ball. At the trade deadline, Washington dealt arguably its best player, point guard Brittney Sykes, and the offense has sputtered a bit since. She leads the team in scoring with 14.8 ppg and also shoots a respectable 38.6 percent from downtown. She is the team's future, along with power forward Kiki Iriafen. Plus, Washington often incorporates a small-ball lineup with Shakira Austin battling injuries and missing the last two games. Veteran Stefanie Dolson is thrust into the starting lineup, but is a massive defensive liability and thus can only play limited minutes. Thunder rookie Thomas Sorber will wear new jersey number in the NBA
Your 2025 Thunder Draft Class 📸 After wearing the same jersey number in college and high school, Thomas Sorber will have a new look to begin his career in the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Sorber wore No. 35 for three years at Archbishop Ryan High School in Pennsylvania and Georgetown last season as a freshman. Instead of keeping it in the NBA, Sorber opted to change to No. 12 upon joining the Thunder as the 15th pick in the 2025 NBA draft. The 19-year-old is the first Thunder player to wear No. 12 since Lindy Waters III (2022-2024). Other players who have donned it include Steven Adams, Nenad Krstić and Darius Miller. Sorber was an All-Big East third-team selection last season, averaging 14.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals on 53.2% shooting from the field. He became the first Hoya since Markel Starks (2012-13) to earn all-conference third-team recognition. The 6-foot-10 center didn't play with the team in summer league after undergoing surgery in February for a turf toe injury that limited him to 24 games with the Hoyas. He is expected to be ready to participate in training camp next month. Sorber was highly touted out of Georgetown after establishing himself as a dominant threat in the paint, either as a roller or back-to-the-basket scorer. The team was eager to add him in the draft and is excited to see him take the court next season.
