Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn's Lizzy Greene now unrecognizable a decade after the Nickelodeon show premiered

Daily Maila day ago

Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn actress Lizzy Greene is now unrecognizable over a decade after she began starring in the beloved Nickelodeon show.
Lizzy, now 22, was skyrocketed into the spotlight when she started starring as Dawn Harper in the popular series in 2014 at only 11 years old.
Her adorable personality and impressive acting skills at such a young age instantly transformed her into a massive star.
But now, 11 years after she captured hearts as the eldest of the Harper quadruplets in the popular children's sitcom, Lizzy is all grown up, and boy, does she look different from her Nickelodeon days.
While she famously had blonde locks in the show, Lizzy is now a brunette, rocking a much-darker hairstyle.
She has since launched a booming career, landing a slew of roles in popular shows and movies, and wracking up over three million followers on Instagram.
Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn followed a set of nine-year-old quadruplets who have nothing in common but are forced to work together to navigate everyday situations.
In addition to Lizzy, it starred Brian Stepanek, Allison Munn, Aidan Gallagher, Casey Simpson, Mace Coronel, Gabrielle Elyse, and Kyla-Drew Simmons.
Lizzy, now 22, was skyrocketed into the spotlight when she started starring as Dawn Harper in the popular series in 2014 at only 11 years old
It went on for four seasons before it came to an end in 2018.
The show served as Lizzy's debut role, and she has not slowed down since then.
After it concluded, she was cast as Sophie Dixon on ABC's A Million Little Things for five seasons.
Most recently, she starred in the new Netflix western series Ransom Canyon alongside Josh Duhamel, Minka Kelly, James Brolin, and Eoin Macken.
Lizzy reflected on how much she had grown since acting in Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn as a kid to Haute Living back in April.
'Really, it's the growth between each project. I look back and think of my career in stages, and with each job I think I grow to understand and trust myself as an actor more and more,' she dished.
'Each project is nuanced in its own way, and requires work catered to each character.'
She called it a 'blessing' to 'grow and learn' in a 'business where you are always working with new people in new circumstances.'
'It keeps you on your toes and always challenges your idea of "better,"' continued the former Nickelodeon star.
As for how her acting has changed since her Nickelodeon days, she explained that the 'older she gets' the 'more she draws from her life for her work.'
'Everything I do in my day-to-day life becomes inspiration for something at some point,' Lizzy shared.
'So many mundane things in life can teach you. Performance can be based on, or rooted in anything, so the learning never stops.
'Drawing from real life I've found brings the most emotion behind the roles that I do – and also provides a sense of self in each part.'

What we know about Boulder, Colorado attack at Israeli rally

The FBI says an attack in Boulder, Colorado, that injured six people was a "targeted act of violence", and they are investigating it as an "act of terrorism". What happened? A group of people had gathered for a "regularly scheduled, weekly, peaceful event", which the BBC understands was organised by Run for Their Lives, an organisation that raises awareness for Israeli hostages still held in FBI said that, according to witnesses, a suspect threw an incendiary device into the group of people, and used a "makeshift flamethrower" to attack them. They said a suspect had been identified as Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45. Soliman was taken to hospital shortly after the attack, the FBI said. Police said they were "fairly confident" that they had the lone suspect in custody. There was no evidence the suspect was connected to a wider group."The suspect was heard to yell 'Free Palestine' during the attack," said special agent in charge of the Denver field office of the FBI, Mark Michalek. "We're assisting Boulder police and providing technical, analytic and additional forensic resources. As a result of these preliminary facts, it is clear that this is a targeted act of violence and the FBI is investigating this as an act of terrorism," Michalek said. Who are the victims? There are six victims, aged between 67 and 88. All of them have been taken to hospitals with burns and other injuries. The injuries range from "minor" to "very serious". At least one of the victims is seriously injured. What is Run for their Lives? Run for their Lives holds walking and running events around the world calling for the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas, according to their says its events are not protests, but "peaceful walks".Their website says there are currently 230 active groups around the world, with the majority in North America and groups meet once a week for a 1km walk wearing red T-shirts. They also carry national flags of the citizens who are among the hostages still held in Run for their Lives Instagram account has more than 6,000 followers. This violence must stop," she said. Israel's foreign minister, Gideon Sa'ar, released a statement saying he was "shocked" by the incident, which he called "pure antisemitism".The Jewish community in Boulder released a statement saying: "Our hearts go out to those who witnessed this horrible attack, and prayers for a speedy recovery to those who were injured," Boulder's Jewish Community said in a joint statement. "When events like this enter our own community, we are shaken."

What to Stream: Nintendo's Switch 2, Addison Rae album, 'Presence' and Ariana Madix returns to Fiji

A Shaquille O'Neal docuseries about his time at Reebok's basketball division and Mario Kart World on Nintendo 's Switch 2 are some of the new television, films, music and games headed to a device near you. Also among the streaming offerings worth your time, as selected by The Associated Press' entertainment journalists: Ariana Madix returns to Fiji as host of a new season of 'Love Island USA.,' TikTok star Addison Rae offers her debut album 'Addison' and then there's "Presence,' Steven Soderbergh's movie entirely from the perspective a ghost. New movies to stream from June 2-8 — 'Presence,' one of two excellent Steven Sodebergh-directed, David Koepp-scripted movies released this year, arrives Tuesday on Hulu. The film, a nifty, experimental little thriller, is filmed entirely from the perspective a ghost inside a home a family has just moved into. From a floating point-of-view, we watch as the mysterious presence, piecing together a past trauma while observing the unfolding a new one. In her review, AP Film Writer Lindsey Bahr called 'Presence' 'a heady experiment that transcends the somewhat gimmicky-on-paper premise — something Soderbergh manages to do alarmingly well and regularly.' — Tyler Perry 's latest, 'Straw,' stars Taraji P. Henson as a struggling single mother who, desperate for money to pay for her daughter's prescriptions, robs a bank. The film, co-starring Sherri Shepherd, Teyana Taylor and Sinbad, debuts Friday, June 6 on Netflix. — For anyone still mourning the death of Gene Hackman, a new series streaming from Thursday on the Criterion Channel collects some of the late actor 's best films. That includes William Friedkin's seminal 1971 New York thriller 'The French Connection,' Francis Ford Coppola's 1974 masterpiece 'The Conversation' and Wes Anderson's 'The Royal Tenenbaums,' a movie in which Hackman's strained relationship with the director has been a subject of conversation following his death. But also don't miss Arthur Penn's 1975 'Night Moves,' a quintessential '70s neo-noir that gave Hackman one of his most indelible roles in the private eye Harry Moseby. — Film Writer Jake Coyle New music to stream from June 2-8 — Has there been a more seamless transition from TikTok social media star to full-fledged pop music force than that of Addison Rae? On Friday, June 6, she will release her debut LP 'Addison,' one of the year's most anticipated releases – from the Lana Del Rey-channeling 'Diet Pepsi' to the trip-hop 'Headphones On.' She's managed to tap into a kind of late-internet cool through a hybrid approach to pop music and a lackadaisical singing style. Could it be 'Addison' summer? Only time will tell. — Need your Cynthia Erivo fix between 'Wicked' films? She's got your back. The multihyphenate will release her sophomore LP, 'I Forgive You' on Friday, June 6, a collection of big belts and even bigger vulnerabilities, with gorgeous songs that sound as though they were ripped straight from Erivo's diary. Listen closely and carefully for maximum enjoyment. — Anyone who thinks the mainstream music listening world has lost interest in rock bands needs to simply look at Turnstile, the Baltimore hard-core punk band that could. They've largely left those harsh sounds behind and have opted for something more melodic and accessible — which is, arguably, part of the appeal for those curious parties — but they've maintained their hard-core ethos and edge. 'Never Enough' is gearing up to be the biggest release of their career so far, and we say it's time to get on board. And get in the pit. — Music Writer Maria Sherman New television to stream from June 2-8 — Ariana Madix has returned to Fiji as host of a new season of 'Love Island USA.' The new episodes have big shoes to fill. Last season was the top-rated reality series of 2024. It also broke through the cultural zeitgeist with social media memes and water cooler conversation. Madix says she's not worried about duplicating that success, and wants the contestants to focus on 'creating their own lane by being truly themselves and bringing themselves to it, you'll never lose by doing that.' The show premieres Tuesday and will air six nights a week on Peacock. — As a teenager, Kristin Cavallari was a breakout of the MTV reality series 'Laguna Beach' because of her unfiltered honesty. She's carried that with her throughout other reality shows and to her podcast 'Let's Be Honest.' Cameras rolled when Cavallari took the podcast on the road in March. That will air as the docuseries 'Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour' beginning Wednesday on E!. It streams on Peacock. — Shaquille O'Neal also has his own docuseries coming to Netflix Wednesday called 'Power Moves with Shaquille O'Neal.' It's an inside look at his efforts as president of Reebok's basketball division. Allen Iverson is vice president. Both have a history with the brand. In 1992, O'Neal signed a deal with Reebok as a rookie playing for the Orlando Magic. Iverson famously inked a lifetime deal with the brand one year prior in 1991. The series will show the two pro ballplayers work to make Reebok Basketball cool and competitive in the sneaker market. It drops Wednesday. — Get your feel-good TV fix with Apple TV+'s new show, 'Stick.' It stars Owen Wilson as Pryce, a broke and divorced former pro golfer who could use a break. He finds it in a teen phenom named Santi and volunteers to be his coach. The show is about chosen family and second chances. 'Stick' premieres Wednesday. — Alicia Rancilio New video games to play week of June 2-8 — Nintendo fans worldwide are bracing themselves for the arrival of the Switch 2, a souped-up version of the eight-year-old console with new social features meant to draw players into online gaming. The highlight of the launch lineup is Mario Kart World, which features a Grand Prix for up to 24 drivers and introduces a sprawling open environment where 'everywhere is your racecourse.' Other Day One arrivals include upgraded versions of the last two Legend of Zelda adventures, and some popular third-party games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Split Fiction will be making their Nintendo debuts. The next generation takes the stage Thursday, June 5. — Lou Kesten

'I'm a fragrance expert - book boyfriends would wear these scents'

Fragrence expert shares what book lovers' favourite male characters would smell like - some might surprise you My friends often tease me for having two very specific interests: books and perfumes. So when a conversation came up about what 'book boyfriends' smell like, I knew it was time to put my niche interests to the test. I know I'm not the only one who has flicked through pages of the latest BookTok trending novel and thought the guys smell pretty good, so I decided to track down what some of the biggest book boyfriends smell like. I even headed to my Instagram and asked everyone there for their favourite book boyfriends so I wouldn't miss any. So I've headed to my library and searched for just how our favourite book boyfriends smell and matched it up with fragrances so your real life boyfriend, or partner, can smell just like them. Now there are some missing here, with either there being no description in the books what he smells like or there not being anything on the market that I could find to fit the bill. He's not in the official list below but Shatter Me's Aaron Warner would probably wear a basic gardenia body spray because that's what he smells like during that first kiss. Rhysand - A Court of Thorns and Roses series Arguably he's BookTok's favourite boyfriend and for someone we've seen lovingly called a 'shadow daddy' online he seems to have a very fresh and light smell. In Chapter 48 of A Court of Mist and Fire, just before things heat up, is the line: "He tangled his legs with mine, and then a heavier, warmer darkness settled over us, smelling of citrus and the sea." From this it seems fair to assume that this is what Rhysand smells like and luckily there's a scent out there that seems like a dead ringer. Wood Sage and Sea Salt by Jo Malone London is a blend of sea salt, seaweed and grapefruit (while this isn't necessarily the first citrus fruit that springs to mind it is undeniably a citrus fruit). There is also a touch of wood there but in my opinion that's needed to round it out to a well balanced fragrance. Jo Malone London scents are expensive, a full sized bottle costs £118 but for those just wanting to trial it 9ml bottles exist for £18. Fortunately Jo Malone London also releases most of their scents in a candle and that means it's possible to have your house smell just like Rhysand while you're reading about him, although the candle is £56 for a 45 hour burn time. Xaden Riorson - Empyrean series Now if anyone could dethrone the Lord of the Night Court, it's the guy with the dragon. In Chapter 10 of Fourth Wing, towards the end, Violet and Xaden are facing off when he comes close enough for her to smell him. The key line reads: "His ominous tone is at odds with his gentle grasp, and sh*t, does he have to smell so good? Like mint and leather and something I can't quite identify, something that borders between citrus and floral." Now Violet can't identify it when it's right in front of her but I did my best to find something that fits the bill. I was surprised by which scent won overall. For me it's a choice between Eros by Versace (from £55) and Rabanne's 1 Million (from £66) - but 1 Million just edges Eros out for me. Both of them include citrus fruits, a slight floral and the necessary mint and leather but Eros notably has candy apple in there while 1 Million has cinnamon and 'spicy notes'. It feels safe to say Xaden leans more spicy. Miles Nowak - Funny Story Emily Henry is one of the biggest names in contemporary romance and for good reason. Her books are filled with men that are easy to fall in love with but our favourite has to be Miles. In Chapter 4, Miles Nowak is ushering a very tipsy Daphne home and explaining how he thinks fellow bartenders can smell that he's one of them. Notably the book reads: "Does it smell like gingersnaps?' The slur in my voice has worsened as we climbed the stairs. Miles stops outside our front door, laughter gurgling out of him. 'Gingersnaps?' That's what he smells like. Sweet and a little spicy. A natural earthy smell folded into a sugary baked good." While I love a smoky blend on men as much as the next girl, it's the sweet scent of sugary baked goods that hold my heart so I was thrilled with Miles taste in scents. Now there was an obvious choice for this, and Jo Malone London if you're reading this we are begging you to bring it back, the limited edition Ginger Biscuit would've been an outright winner. However it currently is out of stock everywhere online and I'm not sending anyone to fight for the few remaining bottles on eBay. Serge Lutens Five o'clock au Gingembre is supposed to smell like a slightly more complex take on Ginger Biscuit and is currently reduced on LookFantastic but even reduced is still £115.20 for a 50ml bottle. There is a more budget friendly option on the market, Ginger Babe from Aroma Concepts which is currently £24 on Amazon. There aren't many reviews on Amazon but on TikTok and fragrance forums there's a lot of buzz about it. Alex Claremont-Diaz - Red, White and Royal Blue Seeing him played by Taylor Zakhar Perez definitely hasn't hurt the internet's love of Alex Claremont-Diaz, the First Son of the United States in the feelgood romance. The film has actually done us a solid, as it doesn't strictly say in the book what he smells like, but in the hospital scene of the film (about 15 minutes in) Prince Henry comments on Alex's signature scent: " Santal 33? Makes sense." The Le Labo scent is quite pricey, with the cheapest price we've found for it being £74 for a 15ml bottle, but we've got to agree with Prince Henry. It makes sense. Haymitch Abernathy - The Hunger Games series Now in the past I wouldn't have thought of Haymitch and a book boyfriend in the same sentence, but with the release of Sunrise on the Reaping and the upcoming film. We are all kind of loving him at the moment. I've not found any lines in the book that outright say what he smells like but it seems fair to assume he would smell like wood smoke and alcohol. Even before he took up drinking he worked with booze and I don't think I need to elaborate on smoke. Jazz Club from Maison Margiela seems like a solid match for him, even if it probably comes more naturally than spraying it on. It's a blend of rum, tobacco leaf and some spices that I could see him wearing and at £62 for a 30ml bottle it's one of the more affordable scents in this list. Now I think a better fit, with his humble beginnings and 'District 12 White Liquor', might be Vodka on the Rocks by Kilian. It's fresh with some spices, wood and notably oak moss in the composition. It is also £225 though, so I'll keep to picturing Jazz Club.
