Saiyaara Star Ahaan Panday's Dad Chikki Panday Is The Man Behind SRK-Salman's 2013 Patch-Up
Ahaan Panday's father, Chikki Panday, played a major role in Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan's 2013 reunion.
Ahaan Panday, Chunky Panday's nephew and Ananya Panday's cousin, has officially arrived in Bollywood with a bang. Making his debut with Mohit Suri's Saiyaara opposite Aneet Padda, the young star kid is receiving widespread love from audiences. Early reviews suggest that Saiyaara may follow in the footsteps of iconic romantic dramas like Aashiqui 2, with fans already dubbing Ahaan a future star in the making.
As Ahaan basks in the success of his first film, all eyes are also on his family, especially his father, Chikki Panday. Known to many in the industry as Aloke Sharad Panday, Chikki is more than just Chunky Panday's brother. He's a well-known businessman with long-standing ties in Bollywood, and interestingly, one of Shah Rukh Khan's oldest and closest friends.
But Chikki Panday's influence in the film industry extends beyond family connections. He played a major role in one of Bollywood's most memorable reconciliations—when Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan ended their feud at Baba Siddique's famous 2013 Iftar party. The two superstars, who had not been on speaking terms since their fallout in 2008 at Katrina Kaif's birthday bash, shared a warm hug that made headlines.
According to several reports, Chikki was the key figure behind that iconic moment. A close friend of both SRK and Salman, as well as politician Baba Siddique, Chikki reportedly orchestrated the reunion by ensuring both actors would be present and open to reconciliation. Insiders claim the groundwork was laid well before the party even began, with Chikki and Siddique convincing the superstars to let bygones be bygones.
Today, as Ahaan steps into the limelight, there's no doubt that his father's deep-rooted connections and goodwill in the industry have been a silent but significant force behind the scenes. And while Ahaan's debut marks a new chapter for the Panday family, it also shines a light on Chikki's lasting legacy, not just as a father, but as a peacemaker who once brought two of Bollywood's biggest stars together.

August 1 will witness major clash of 7 big films at box office, the films are Son of Sardar 2 and...., full list here
August is set to open with fireworks, not in the sky, but on the silver screen. On 1st August, a whopping seven films from Bollywood, South cinema, and Hollywood will hit theatres. It's not the first time the box office has witnessed a multi-film collision, but this one is making waves for its scale and timing. Coming off the unstoppable high of Saiyaara, audiences seem more than ready to flock back to theatres. The question now: Which of these seven stories will rise above the rest? What films are in the line-up? 1. Son of Sardar 2 Ajay Devgn returns with a sequel to his 2012 hit comedy. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, this one blends romance, family drama, and desi humour as it follows a man helping a couple gain parental approval. The film stars Mrunal Thakur and Ravi Kishan alongside Devgn. 2. Dhadak 2 A bold retelling of the Tamil hit Pariyerum Perumal, this Siddhant Chaturvedi, Triptii Dimri starrer dives into caste, love, and resistance. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, it's far more intense than its predecessor. 3. Holy Ghost A supernatural horror flick with a twist—a kidnapped girl claims she was saved by the ghost of a dead cop. With Jane Osborne in the lead, this Hollywood entry adds eerie vibes to the mix. 4. Ajay: The Untold Story of a Yogi This political biopic starring Anand Joshi tells the story of Yogi Adityanath, inspired by The Monk Who Became Chief Minister. Directed by Ravindra Gautam, it blends politics with personal transformation. 5. The Bad Guys 2 A laugh riot for kids and grown-ups alike, this animated sequel follows reformed villains trying to stay good—and failing hilariously. Expect chaos with Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, and more. 6. Kalamkaval Mammootty headlines this Malayalam crime drama about tradition, family honour, and moral dilemmas. Rich in emotion and grit, it's a heavy hitter in regional cinema. 7. Blackmail In this Tamil thriller, GV Prakash Kumar plays a man caught in the grip of a shadowy blackmailer. Tense, sharp, and full of twists. After the thunderous success of Saiyaara, the industry is testing whether audiences are truly back in theatres—or if that film was an exception. With multiple genres from romance and action to horror and animation, this clash could reshape release strategies for the rest of 2025. Who will come out on top? Will Devgn's star power carry Son of Sardar 2? Can Dhadak 2 spark a new conversation? Or will a dark horse like Blackmail or Holy Ghost surprise everyone? One thing's certain—August 1 will be a day to remember at the movies.

Avatar Fire And Ash Trailer: Jake And Neytiri Prepare For War In Intense Threequel
Last Updated: Directed by James Cameron, Avatar: Fire and Ash is the follow-up to 2022's Avatar: The Way of Water and continues the story that began with the original Avatar in 2009. Just hours after reports surfaced of an online leak, the makers of Avatar: Fire and Ash dropped the official trailer of the much-awaited third installment in James Cameron's epic saga. The trailer was originally slated to premiere alongside Fantastic Four: First Steps, but footage from the film began circulating online prematurely—prompting the makers to release the high-quality official version early, much to the excitement of fans. Directed by James Cameron, Avatar: Fire and Ash is the follow-up to 2022's Avatar: The Way of Water and continues the story that began with the original Avatar in 2009. Known for his cinematic innovation in films like Titanic and Terminator 2, Cameron is now steering the franchise into darker, more emotionally resonant territory. The trailer opens with sweeping visuals of Pandora's lush bioluminescent forests, mysterious oceans, and tribal communities. Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) is heard invoking her ancestors: 'The strength of the ancestors is here." But the trailer quickly shifts gears as Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) struggles with rising tensions and the cost of survival. 'You cannot live like this, baby—in hate," he says, hinting at the deep emotional rift and the themes of vengeance and redemption at the film's core. Set for a worldwide release on December 19, 2025, Avatar: Fire and Ash promises a deeper dive into the psychological impact of warfare on the Sully family as they fight to protect their home. The film explores not only the external threats to Pandora but also the internal conflicts threatening to tear Jake, Neytiri, and their children apart. The ensemble cast includes returning stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, and Dileep Rao, along with Britain Dalton, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Michelle Yeoh, David Thewlis, and Oona Chaplin. The film is co-written by Cameron, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver. Avatar 4 is slated for 2029 release, while Avatar 5 is arriving in 2031.
