Episode 4 of Secrets We Keep starts with Mike working out in the morning while Cecilie observes him from the bedroom window.
After he is done, she confronts him about his relationship with Ruby. He asks if she is jealous and insists he knows nothing about Ruby's pregnancy. He calls her crazy for suspecting him.
Meanwhile, Aicha continues with her investigation. She focuses on the area where Ruby's bag was found. At school, Rasmus and Mike talk about the latest update. Rasmus point-blank asks if Mike is hiding anything from him.
Of course, Mike says he is in the dark, too. As they talk, Oscar shows Viggo a video on his phone. Based on the audio, a woman is sobbing while someone else is moaning. The video distresses Viggo.
Aicha goes through the items in Ruby's bag and finds a parking card from a fancy hotel. She and Carl visit the hotel, and one of the staff members recognises Ruby.
He claims that she was at the hotel a while ago with a man driving a Porsche Taycan Turbo. A quick check leads them to Mike. It turns out he has a record for raping a woman 23 years ago.
At the house, Oscar continues to spy on Cecilie with his drone. Angel goes to church and meets with her Filipino friends.
They decide to organise a search party around the area where Ruby's purse was found. They all feel like the police are letting them down. Angel later shares this idea with Cecilie. Cecilie agrees to give her a day off and help with the search party.
Still at home, Oscar continues to act suspicious. We later see Viggo watching a video of men slut shaming a woman. He asks Cecilie to have Angel tuck him in, but his mom refuses.
The following morning, Viggo wets his bed and asks for Cecilie's help. Since Angel is busy with organising the search party, Cecilie drops Viggo at school.
While there, she coincidentally runs into Katarina. Cecilie informs her about the search party and they agree to go together. Aicha also shows up at the search party and talks to the Father again.
This time, he reveals that Ruby was raped and feared she was pregnant. However, Ruby never mentioned the man who raped her. He also adds that Ruby didn't want to abort the baby, and the Father suggested she speak to her rapist. Unfortunately, the search party bears no fruit.
The next morning, Angel has a dream about Ruby. Later, she walks him to school, but Viggo seems a bit down.
With the revelation. Aicha focuses on Mike as a prime suspect. Carl orders Aicha to talk to Cecilie and see if she knows where Mike was on the night Ruby disappeared.
Cecilie realises that Aicha is focusing on Mike and brings up his rape conviction. She tries to justify Mike's behaviour and lies that Mike came home shortly after Katarina, Ruby, and Oscar left that night.
Later, Cecilie confronts Mike at their house. He explains that he was only trying to help Ruby get her driving license. She demands to know where he was on the night Ruby disappeared. He insists he was at work and left to stay at a hotel. Cecilie gets ready for her run and leaves, too.
In the meantime, Aicha gets word that a body fitting Ruby's description was found at the marina. She rushes there, and the body in the water is dressed in a red jumper and blue jeans.
This was what Ruby was last seen wearing. While on her run, Cecilie notices there are a lot of police cars heading in one direction.
The episode ends with Ruby closing her eyes as the wind blows her face. Next thing, we see a body floating in the water.
The Episode Review
With only two episodes left until the finale, we are finally starting to get some answers. It looks like Ruby is dead, but did she kill herself or was she killed?
The more we think about it, the more suspicious Mike, Viggo and Oscar seem. Oscar is especially giving us bad vibes. Why would he try to scare Viggo during their archery match? Also, what video did he show Viggo, and does it have anything to do with Ruby?
Katarina's behaviour and demeanour throughout all these have been wanting to. The woman who has been taking care of her child has gone missing, and she is acting as if she is the victim here. Katarina has shown no shred of concern over Ruby, and that is suspicious.
It is also ironic that Cecilie lied to the police while she was at the frontline, accusing Rasmus of hurting Ruby. Now that the suspicion has shifted to her husband, she is tight-lipped.
I hope she recants her statement and tells the truth in case Mike did something to Ruby?
