For anyone living or working in a busy area, there's nothing worse than someone parking on your property.
One Queensland local has taken a slightly more aggressive approach to turning people away, and it's going completely viral online.

Free car wash, anyone?
Aussie TikTok account @rockhamptonchaos has gone viral showing the unique way they get people to stop parking in their driveway.
The driveway belongs to a business near a busy street in Rockhampton, where people choose to park despite signage which appears to read 'Parking or stopping here is illegal' and 'Automatic sprinkler in use'.
And, the videos show drivers copping some serious consequences, being hit by this sprinkler as soon as they pull into the driveway.
One video, filmed earlier this week on a security camera, has garnered over 11 million views, and shows driver after driver copping a spray, with some even being hit with their windows or doors open - resulting in a very wet drive to find a new car space.
'Love it!'
The majority of commenters are on the business owner's side, calling out the entitlement of those who park in the driveway.
'I love that the time delay is *just* long enough to trigger after they open the door,' one person said.
'I love how every time a car pulls up, the ground is already wet,' said another.
'I looove how unhinged the sprinkler is. Like it's not a nice mist, it's a full on tropical storm. Love it,' a third agreed.
'Seems miserable'
Others, however, weren't so happy about the action, calling it unnecessarily cruel.
'Just put up a big 'no parking' sign and paint the driveway red or yellow, no reason to ruin people's day. Unless they ignore the signs then spray away,' one person said.
'Seems miserable to wait for people to park and assault them with water. I'm happy you get to get away with this because some people get fined for things not even this directly offensive sigh,' another commenter said.

Honda Australia reveals major hybrid push, first BEV for 2026 line-up

Don't miss out on the headlines from Motoring. Followed categories will be added to My News. Honda Australia is going all-in on hybrids, revealing a plan to win back Australian drivers with a line-up that leans heavily on electrified petrol engines – not full battery electric vehicles (BEVs). Newly appointed Honda Australia President and chief executive Jay Joseph said the brand has significant room to grow and is focused on serving more customers with an expanded range. 'We know we can do better in terms of the number of customers we serve every year than we do today,' he said. 'I don't want to draw out a number or position, but we see significant opportunity for improvement by adding to our product line.' As other car makers scramble to rework line-ups in response to Australia's New Vehicle Efficiency Standards (NVES), a new emissions policy that will penalise high-polluting models, Honda says its electrification strategy has not been shaped by government pressure, but by what customers want. After years of declining sales and a shift to fixed pricing, Honda says its hybrid-first strategy is the key to restoring relevance and lifting its position. Currently ranked 19th in Australia, Honda sold just 14,092 vehicles last year and is down a further 7.3 per cent in 2025. The Japanese brand will also add its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) in the second half of 2026. While the model has not been named, the e: N1, already sold in New Zealand and Europe, is a likely contender. Built in Thailand and delivering 412km of WLTP-tested range, the electric SUV would rival the Kia EV3, BYD Atto 3 and Nissan Leaf. Also joining the line-up will be the Civic Type R, which has avoided being cut in Australia despite being discontinued overseas due to emission rules. 'We're in a good position to execute what we're talking about today,' Joseph said. Honda Australia director of automotive Robert Thorp added that 'everything is on the table' in reference to vehicles sold overseas, but said the global remains volatile: 'The instability of the international market, particularly in relation to tariffs imposed by the US government on other countries, meant they had to pick models carefully.' Perhaps the most exciting news is the return of the iconic Honda Prelude, returning as a hybrid-only coupe in mid-2026. Beyond 2026, Honda is considering new nameplates but has ruled out the return of models such as the Jazz, City and Odyssey for now. Queen Elizabeth's custom Range Rover hits UK auction block for $143k

Don't miss out on the headlines from On the Road. Followed categories will be added to My News. A custom-built luxury Range Rover once owned and used by the late Queen Elizabeth II is heading to auction later this month. While the late Queen had access to a wide range of vehicles for various royal duties, this particular model — a 2006 supercharged Range Rover V8 — is unique. Iconic Auctioneers is handling the sale, which will take place at the Silverstone Festival in the UK later this month. According to the auction house, this L322 Range Rover is believed to be the only supercharged Range Rover ever owned by the Royal Household. The car is estimated to fetch up to $143,950 (£70,000). It is also likely the Queen herself clocked up several thousand kilometres behind the wheel. Official records show the car has travelled just under 18,000 miles since it was released from Royal Household duties in April 2009. Queen Elizabeth's 2006 Range Rover.
