CRATE left me with one yellow box and one green box and just fifteen remaining words. I had the hardest time coming up with a second guess I liked, and eventually I just decided I'd go with NEEDY even though I didn't love the double 'E.' It worked out . . . okay. Not the best choice, to be sure. Now I had three green boxes, however, and the very first word I came up with was PETTY. I plugged it in and got lucky. PETTY for the win! Today's Wordle Bot I get 1 point for guessing in three and 1 point for Beating the Bot. The Bot gets 0 points for guessing in four and -1 for losing to me. Our new totals are: Erik: 13 points Wordle Bot: 7 points The word petty comes from the Middle English pety, which was borrowed from Old French petit, meaning "small" or "little." Ultimately, it traces back to Vulgar Latin pitittus, also meaning "small." Originally used to describe something minor or insignificant, petty later took on negative connotations like 'trivial' or 'small-minded.' Today's NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers For Monday, June 16th
Looking for help with today's NYT Mini Crossword puzzle? Here are some hints and answers for the ... More puzzle. In case you missed Sunday's NYT Mini Crossword puzzle, you can find the answers here: Officially, we still have a few days of spring left, but as far as the weather is concerned, summer has already begun. The solstice is this Friday, but with the sun blazing and temps reaching close to 90 degrees up in the mountains, I'm already praying for monsoon season to come sooner than later. The evenings sure are nice, though! This hot out, I'm going to stay inside with some AC and a puzzle or two to solve. Let's take a crack at today's Mini Crossword! The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT Crossword, and unlike its larger sibling, it's free-to-play without a subscription to The New York Times. You can play it on the web or the app, though you'll need the app to tackle the archive. Across 1A. Slow ___ (primate with big eyes) — starts with the first letter L 6A. I eventually scrabbled them all together after a minute and 18 seconds. How did you do? Let me know on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. If you also play Wordle, I write guides about that as well.
