Genesis Scottish Open to feature own version of 'Stadium Hole' at par-3 6th
The concept of a "Stadium Hole," made famous at the WM Phoenix Open's 16th hole and mimicked at numerous other tournaments, has made its way to Scotland.
The par-3 sixth hole at The Renaissance Club, site of this week's 2025 Genesis Scottish Open, has been fully enclosed for the co-sanctioned PGA Tour event with the DP World Tour. The 147-yard hole features screens, platforms, a new children's viewing area and Stadium Suites, which offer a private chalet overlooking the green, according to bunkered.co.uk.
The field at the Genesis Scottish Open is loaded, with eight of the top 10 players in the world teeing it up in North Berwick, including 2023 champion Rory McIlroy and No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.

DePaul has announced the hiring of Ryan Jamison as head men's golf coach, a move that comes just one day after his final round working as a PGA Tour caddie. Jamison, who played his college golf at DePaul, returns to his alma mater with 15 years of coaching experience and five seasons as a professional caddie on the PGA Tour. Jamison most recently spent the past five years as a PGA Tour caddie for Akshay Bhatia, Quade Cummins, Isaiah Salinda, Justin Suh and Brandon Wu. He most recently looped at the just-concluded Genesis Scottish Open for Salinda on Sunday. He was on the bag for Bhatia when he won the 2024 Texas Valero Open. He was named the 2015 Division II Dave Williams National Coach of the Year. He began his coaching career as an assistant at Nova Southeastern before returning to DePaul for two seasons as an assistant coach, helping the Blue Demons achieve their highest Big East Conference finish at the time in 2012.
