Netanyahu Outlines Conditions for Ending Gaza War
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has laid out his government's conditions for ending the war in the Gaza Strip, according to a statement released by his office.
The statement said the conditions include the complete disarmament of Hamas as well as the removal of all weapons from Gaza. Netanyahu's office described these steps as 'fundamental pillars' for achieving what he termed security and stability in the region.
The proposed conditions also call for Israel to maintain control over Gaza's perimeter, ensuring continued Israeli security oversight. In addition, Netanyahu's office outlined a plan for a governing authority to be established inside Gaza—one that would not be affiliated with either Hamas or the Palestinian Authority. The remarks signal a vision for a new administrative structure in the enclave once the war ends.
The announcement comes amid ongoing international discussions over ceasefire efforts and the future of Gaza's governance once hostilities subside.

UK MP Afzal Khan Resigns as Trade Envoy to Türkiye After Controversial Cyprus Visit
Ahmed Emam British Member of Parliament Afzal Khan has resigned from his role as the UK's Trade Envoy for Türkiye following criticism over a visit to the northern part of Cyprus, which is under Turkish control. The Cypriot Foreign Ministry described the visit and Khan's meeting with Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar as 'unacceptable and provocative.' Officials in Nicosia said the move violated the sovereignty of the Republic of Cyprus and contradicted United Nations Security Council resolutions, which recognize only the Republic of Cyprus and reject any legitimacy for the breakaway administration in the north. Khan's trip sparked political reactions in the United Kingdom, drawing criticism across party lines, as well as lobbying efforts from members of the Cypriot diaspora. In a statement, the Cypriot Foreign Ministry said the resignation 'sends a clear message' that such actions carry political consequences. The ministry emphasized that UN resolutions on Cyprus are binding and that international actors should refrain from actions that could be seen as supporting the self-declared entity in the north. Cyprus has been divided since 1974, when Türkiye intervened following a coup backed by the Greek military junta. While the Republic of Cyprus is internationally recognized and a member of the European Union, the northern part of the island is recognized only by Türkiye. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

FM, Singaporean counterpart assert depth of bilateral relations
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted the strength and depth of relations between Egypt and Singapore. He made the remarks during a phone call which he received on Saturday from Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan. The call came as part of continued coordination and dialogue between the two nations and their mutual commitment to enhancing bilateral ties. Abdelatty noted the increasing momentum in Egypt-Singapore relations, particularly reflected in high-level visits and engagements. He highlighted the upcoming visit of the Singaporean president to Egypt, which will coincide with celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He emphasized that Egypt was the first Arab nation to establish diplomatic ties with Singapore, underscoring the historic and strategic nature of the relationship. The minister stressed the importance of expanding investment and trade cooperation, especially given Egypt's ongoing development boom. He noted that Singapore is currently the fifth-largest foreign investor in Egypt, reflecting the strong confidence of the Singaporean business community in Egypt's economy. On regional developments, Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's firm position on the urgent need for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, stressing the importance of ending bloodshed and ensuring the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian population suffering from dire conditions as a result of Israel's deliberate policy of starvation. He called for immediate international action to address the worsening humanitarian crisis and to apply pressure on the Israeli government to guarantee safe, sustained humanitarian access and to open all crossings into the Gaza Strip. Abdelatty asserted the necessity of advancing toward a credible political horizon that leads to a just and comprehensive resolution of the Palestinian cause, securing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to self-determination.
