'Picture abhi baaki hai, mere dost'
Looking back at her journey from being a child actor to finding her way in Bollywood, Zoya says, 'I started when I was only about three and couldn't even talk properly.
So, it's been a long journey, but it has been good.' Talking about why not many child actors translate into big actors as adults, Zoya thinks everyone has their own path. 'I can't speak for others, but for me, I believe if you have a dream in your heart, there's a reason for it.
If you work hard at it, it will lead somewhere. I'm still on my journey, and yes! Picture abhi baaki hai.' She says with a smile.

For me, the role must be important. I want to make a mark. I want to play women who are inspiring, have different sides to them, and are strong, whether the role is for five minutes or fifty.'
Asked if she wants to be in big, popular Bollywood movies or if she only likes character roles, she says, 'I love both! I would love to be in a classic Bollywood movie with beautiful saris, dancing in the snow. I've done it before, and I'd love to do it again.
But I also enjoy roles that challenge me and have a lot of depth. OTT have made space for those kinds of stories.'

'My memories as a child actor show how far I have come in the industry'
Having worked as a child artist in movies that everyone loves, like Hum Saath Saath Hain and Kuch Naa Kaho, Zoya shares sweet memories of the actors she worked with. 'I remember meeting Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at a party. When I told Abhishek I was the little girl from Kuch Naa Kaho, he was incredibly kind.
He immediately took me through the crowd to meet Aishwarya who complemented me for my height.' Talking about Hum Saath Saath Hain, where she played Salman Khan's niece, Radhika, Zoya remembers, 'That movie had so many Bollywood stars in one place! I was just a little girl, but I remember how warm everyone was.
Everyone knows how fond of kids Salman sir really is. He would bring us chocolates and joke around with us. It felt like one big family on set. We used to all sit together outside on chairs, just chatting like one big family. All these memories show how far I've come in the industry.'

Adam Sandler made sure Travis Kelce felt appreciated even though the Chiefs' TE couldn't attend Happy Gilmore 2 premiere

Adam Sandler praises Travis Kelce despite his absence at star-studded Happy Gilmore 2 premiere (Getty Images) Travis Kelce might have missed the glitz of the Happy Gilmore 2 premiere in New York City, but he certainly wasn't forgotten. While the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was noticeably absent from the red carpet, lead star Adam Sandler ensured that Kelce's contribution to the film didn't go unnoticed—offering heartfelt praise and even a few jokes that showed just how much Kelce left a mark on set. Why did Travis Kelce skip Happy Gilmore 2 premiere? Travis Kelce, 35, has been gradually expanding his presence beyond the gridiron, and his cameo in Happy Gilmore 2 marks his first official film role. He plays a hotel employee in the Netflix sequel, sharing an entertaining scene with global music icon Bad Bunny. But despite his rising presence in entertainment, Kelce stayed loyal to his day job—choosing training camp over the premiere. With Kansas City's training camp kicking off the very next morning at Missouri Western State University, Kelce had already reported with the team a day early. The timing made it nearly impossible for him to attend Monday night's star-studded screening. That decision, while disappointing for fans hoping to spot him alongside girlfriend Taylor Swift—who also skipped the event—speaks volumes about Kelce's ongoing commitment to football, even amid his growing fame in Hollywood. It's also worth noting that Kelce and Swift have never made a formal red carpet appearance as a couple, despite being together for nearly two years. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like A genetic disorder that is damaging his organs. Adam Sandler's praise for Travis Kelce and a dash of Swiftie humor Even though Kelce couldn't be there in person, Sandler made sure his presence was felt. 'They were both so confident and so funny,' Sandler told The Hollywood Reporter, referring to Kelce and Bad Bunny. 'They're gonna go on and do whatever the hell they want. But I'd love to do something with them again, because I got very friendly with them. I love them both.' Happy Gilmore 2 | Official Trailer | Netflix Sandler didn't hold back his admiration for Kelce and even offered Swift some unexpected appreciation. When asked if Taylor Swift might join the cast in the future, he quipped, 'Just let Taylor entertain the world like she does... she's done a lot for our planet.' In another interview, the 50 First Dates star joked that if he weren't acting, he'd become a 'professional Swiftie,' screaming 'Taylor! I love you!' from the sidelines. The premiere may have been packed with celebrities—from Jimmy Fallon to John Cena and golfer Scottie Scheffler—but one thing was clear: Kelce's absence didn't dim his star. Thanks to Sandler's shoutout, the tight end's short but memorable film role got the spotlight it deserved—even if he was hundreds of miles away suiting up for another season. FAQs: 1. Long before ‘Heeramandi', Batalvi gave the world ‘Loona'

Chandigarh: At a time when web series like Heeramandi, Made in Heaven, and Saas Bahu aur Flamingo are making headlines for centering rebellious, complex women, one Punjabi poet had already done it, nearly 60 years ago. On the birth anniversary of Shiv Kumar Batalvi, it's worth revisiting Loona, the epic verse play that earned him the Sahitya Akademi Award at just 31, youngest till now, and challenged the way generations viewed women in folklore. Loona is based on the Punjabi legend of Puran Bhagat, a prince turned saint. In the traditional telling, Loona is a young stepmother who tries to seduce Puran, and when he refuses, she falsely accuses him of misconduct. The king, her husband and Puran's father, has him exiled and mutilated. Loona has, for generations, remained the archetype of an immoral woman, a scheming seductress. But Batalvi flipped the narrative. In his telling, Loona is not a villain but a victim — a young girl married off to an ageing king Salwan, living a life she never chose. Her attraction to Puran is not sin but yearning. Her rage is not evil but trauma. Rather than glorify her, Batalvi indicts the society that condemned her for feeling, for desiring, for speaking. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 30 Beautiful women who lived 80-100 years ago Undo Retired associate professor Manjit Kaur, who wrote a PhD thesis titled Puran, Loona and the Psychology of Punjab, calls Loona a rare example in Punjabi literature where a woman's desire itself becomes an act of protest. "Puran protests by renouncing the world and turning to yog. But Loona protests by refusing to silence her longing," Kaur said. "In Punjabi society, we often see the spiritual man as a rebel, but a desiring woman is called immoral. Shiv turned that upside down." According to her, Loona challenged the psychological and cultural frameworks of Punjab long before such themes entered mainstream writing or cinema. The idea that a woman could want something, or someone, and not be punished for it was radical in 1965. Today, it's become the emotional and political core of many popular shows and films. In Heeramandi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali presents courtesans as women with agency, navigating patriarchy with their own power. Made in Heaven peels back the layers of modern Indian weddings to expose how women are still expected to conform, sacrifice, or stay silent. Saas Bahu aur Flamingo breaks the mold of the "ideal woman" altogether.
