Bhool Chuk Maaf Box Office Collection Day 2: The sci-fi romantic comedy Bhool Chuk Maaf, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, saw an uptick of nearly 29 per cent in its Saturday earnings, thanks to discounted tickets.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh said that the movie sprung a big surprise, 'exceeding all expectations on its opening day' with ₹ 7 crore, since the industry projections were way lower.
He highlighted that Bhool Chuk Maaf's earnings were aided by discounted ticket pricing and 'strong spot bookings'.
The time-loop-based Bollywood movie has interestingly outperformed Maddock's earlier release Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which had opened at ₹ 5.49 crore.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Bhool Chuk Maaf minted ₹ 9 crore on Saturday, Day 2.
In line with Adarsh's prediction of a 'solid jump' over the weekend, the movie's Saturday earnings were 28.57 per cent higher than its Friday earnings.
Bhool Chuk Maaf is expected to report even better numbers on Sunday, May 25, despite the controversy over its release and mixed reviews.
On May 24, Bhool Chuk Maaf recorded an overall footfall of 25.18 per cent, according to Sacnilk.
In the morning shows, occupancy was 10.46 per cent, which gradually improved over the day to rise to 33.87 per cent at night.
Chennai had the maximum occupancy, 85 per cent. Bengaluru had a distant second-best occupancy, 37.5 per cent, followed by Jaipur and Delhi NCR.
The Amazon Prime Video description states, 'Ranjan, stuck in a time loop on his wedding day, must fulfil a forgotten promise to escape it. As he sacrifices his dream job for another's greater good, the film highlights compassion over ambition, reminding us of the power of kindness in a self-centred society.'
Bhool Chuk Maaf stars Rajkummar Rao, Wamiqa Gabbi, Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, Raghubir Yadav, and Zakir Hussain in key roles.

‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' box office collections day 21: Film inches closer to Rs 100 cr mark: Strong hold into the third week

'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' continues its steady run at the Indian box office, collecting Rs 66 lakhs (early estimates) on its 21st day. Despite entering its third Friday, the Tom Cruise-led action franchise has managed to retain a decent footfall, pushing its total India net collection to an estimated Rs 94.86 crore across all languages. While the pace has slowed, the film is now eyeing the Rs 100 crore milestone in the coming days. Occupancy Trends on Day 21 According to the Sacnilk website, the film recorded an overall 18.53% English occupancy on June 6, 2025, with night shows showing the best performance at 28.99%. Morning shows remained low at 9%, with a gradual increase through the afternoon and evening. The Hindi version saw slightly lower traction, with an overall occupancy of 14.43%. Night shows again led with 19.78%, while morning shows stood at just 7.24%. While regional versions in Telugu and Tamil have contributed marginally to the collections, the bulk of the business continues to come from the English and Hindi versions, particularly in urban centres. Three Weeks of Consistency After a solid first week collection of Rs 54.4 crore, the film held decently in its second week with Rs 26.75 crore. The third week, although registering a 51% drop from the second, still added Rs 13.05 crore to the total. The weekday collections remained under ₹1 crore but were consistent enough to maintain momentum. Sustains its brand value 'The Final Reckoning', which started with a stellar Rs 17 crore opening weekend, continues to benefit from strong brand recall, slick action, and Tom Cruise 's star power. The third weekend will be crucial to see if it can surpass the Rs 100 crore mark domestically. Stolen director Karan Tejpal says films with 'good person doing good things and winning' are boring: 'We are all flawed'

Director Karan Tejpal's Stolen has finally found its way to reach the Indian audiences. Two years after it won viewers over in film festivals across the world, the film is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. In a chat with HT ahead of the release, the debutant director opened up about his filmmaking choices and more. Stolen stars Abhishek Banerjee as an urban man accused of stealing a baby from a railway platform, and how he and his brother are embroiled in a situation from which there is no escape. Interestingly, the film chooses Abhishek's Gautam, the more morally ambiguous character, as the protagonist. The younger brother, Raman (played by Shubham Vardhan), is more morally upright, but not the central character. Explaining that choice, Karan says, 'That is a more dramatic story to tell, and hence, you are drawn to it more naturally. If you tell a story about a good person who does really good things and then wins at the end, it may be slightly boring.' Connecting the choice to relatability, the sophomore filmmaker says, "Why we wanted to tell a story about a flawed character is because all of us are flawed, whether we accept it or not. In our private thoughts, we are extremely flawed, which is why we relate to such characters. Almost all filmmakers want to start with a flawed or under duress character so you can build from there." In an age when small independent films with offbeat subjects are struggling to find audiences, Karan chose Stolen for his debut. When asked why, he shrugs and says, "I just knew this one way to go. So, it's not like there was any choice for me." Stolen, backed by Anurag Kashyap, Nikkhil Advani, Kiran Rao, and Vikramaditya Motwane, is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
