Pokemon TCG Pocket
has announced yet another expansion, named Celestial Guardians. After being released on October 30, 2024, this mobile digital trading card game is showing no sign of stopping. The upcoming expansion marks the third set of releases in a row, that too in a single month.
So far, Pokemon TCG Card Pocket has amassed nearly 900 cards in the game. And the upcoming expansion will add 200 more, which will feature Gen 7 Pokemons. As this is another full-set, Celestial Guardians is looking to form a foundation for a new meta in the game.
Pokemon TCG Pocket: Celestial Guardians - An overview
Pokémon TCG Pocket: Celestial Guardians | Coming April 30!
Initially introduced in Pokemon Sun and Moon, Celestial Guardians will concentrate on Pokemon. With Solgaleo and Lunala as the booster pack mascots, the new set will have more than 200 cards, scattered between two booster sets.
The Pokemons in this expansion are going to be of Gen 7 as well. Since Gen 7 is currently underrepresented in Pokemon TCG Pocket, it makes fitting that the game would finally give Alola some much-needed attention.
Celestial Guardians: All confirmed Pokemons
Among the upcoming Pokemons, 88 ones are confirmed to be from the 2016 RPG title named Pokemon Sun and Moon and 18 from the Alolan regions. Here are the confirmed cards fans will get their hands on in this upcoming expansion:
Alolan Meowth
Alolan Raichu ex
Alolan Vulpix
Alolan Marowak
Solgaleo ex
Lunala ex
Rowlet (two forms)
Litten (two forms)
Popplio (two forms)
Oricorio (two forms)
Lillie (Immersive Art)
Alolan Marowak (Illustration Rare)
Alolan Raichu ex (Special Illustration Rare)
First Immersive card in the game
Shining Revelry, the previous set from TCG Pocket, has already started a new trend by releasing uncommon non-Pokemon card variations. Players were taken aback by the expansion's first-ever crown-rarity Poke Ball card.
And with Lillie's arrival, it appears DeNA will continue that pattern. It distinguishes itself with a novel rarity kind called "immersive." The featured figures on these cards are brought to life via brief animations.
Celestial Guardians: Release date and timings
The official date of Celestial Guardians' release is April 30, 2025. The new cards will be live at around 2 AM ET on April 30th, following an update to the app on the previous day (April 29th), according to prior set releases.
When it launches, players can begin opening card packs in either the Celestial Guardians-Lunala or Celestial Guardians-Solgaleo sets.

How to build the best Ultra Necrozma ex deck in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
Image via The Pokemon Company Ultra Necrozma ex isn't just another flashy Dragon-type card. With its high-pressure attacks and brutal deck-disruption effect, this Ultra Beast can flip matches in your favor fast. But to truly make the most of it, you need the right deck, the right support, and the right timing. This guide breaks it all down in a crisp, simple way. Why Ultra Necrozma ex is So Dangerous Ultra Necrozma ex's true strength lies not just in its raw power, but in how it drains your opponent's deck. It's move Shoegaze does 120 damage, and forces both players to discard the top 5 cards from their deck. That's massive in Pokémon TCG Pocket, where decks are capped at 20 cards. Pull off Shoegaze twice, and your opponent could be left with nothing. The only catch? It needs 2 Psychic + 2 Metal Energy to activate. So, how do you fuel this beast quickly? That's what the rest of this deck is all about. Image via The Pokemon Company Core Deck Build: What You'll Need Here's the backbone of the best Ultra Necrozma ex deck: Ultra Necrozma ex (x2) – Your primary attacker and deck destroyer. Giratina ex (x2) – Psychic Energy generator. Crucial for setup. Lunala ex (x2) – Energy transfer specialist. Cosmog (x2) – Lunala's pre-evolution. Rare Candy (x2) – Skip evolution stages fast. Metal Energy (x8) – Primary Energy type for Ultra Necrozma. Psychic Energy (x6) – Used in tandem via Giratina. Iono (x2) – Shuffle both hands into deck and draw. Professor's Research (x2) – Draw power. Poké Ball (x2) – Quick access to Pokémon. Lusamine (x1) – Late-game recovery and ramp. Pokémon Communication (x2) – Swap Pokémon in-hand with one from deck. How to Win With This Deck? Having this deck is one thing, but using it efficiently and winning is another. Here's how you can win with this deck: 1. Early Game Setup Start with Ultra Necrozma ex in the active slot. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like USDJPY đang đi lên không? IC Markets Đăng ký Undo On your bench, set up Giratina ex and Cosmog. Use Trainer cards to dig for Rare Candy and Lunala ex. Turn 1: Attach Metal Energy to Ultra Necrozma. Use Giratina's ability to attach a Psychic Energy from your Energy Zone (note: it ends your turn). 2. Mid-Game Power Play Once Lunala ex is ready, use her Psychic Connect ability to shift all Psychic Energy from Giratina to Ultra Necrozma. Now, you're locked and loaded for Shoegaze. Execute Shoegaze: 120 damage + discard top 5 cards from both decks. Target fragile setups or opponents low on deck count. You'll burn through their options fast. 3. Late Game Sustain If your first Necrozma gets knocked out, don't worry. That's where Lusamine comes in — she lets you pull back an Ultra Beast (Necrozma) and attach 2 random Energy from the discard pile. Boom. You're back in it. Ultra Necrozma ex is more than a heavy hitter. With the right setup, you'll be deleting decks before your opponent even gets their second attacker ready. If you're into fast, disruptive, and devastating plays, this deck's your new best friend in Pokémon TCG Pocket.

Is the Extradimensional Crisis Pack worth opening in Pokemon TCG Pocket
Image via The Pokemon Company. The Extradimensional Crisis pack is here in Pokemon TCG Pocket. This is the A3a set of the game and serves as a themed booster pack of the previously released Celestial Guardians expansion in the game. This card pack is a bit different than the previous ones as this pack has introduced Ultra Beast Pokemons for the first time in Pokemon TCG Pocket. So, will it be worth it to open this pack in the game? Is the Extradimensional Crisis Pack worth it in Pokemon TCG Pocket? Pokémon TCG Pocket: Extradimensional Crisis | Coming May 29 As mentioned earlier, the Extradimensional Crisis Pack is based on a new kind of Pokemons called Ultra Beasts. These pokemons are from the Sun & Moon era, where they have traveled through the wormholes, set in the Alola region. This new themed booster pack features more than 100 cards , which is huge. Now the question arises, is it worth opening this pack in Pokemon TCG Pocket? Yes, it is absolutely worth it. First of all, this pack will feature a Dragon-type Pokemon for the first time, named Ultra Necrozma ex. Also, having cards like Buzzwole ex, Blacephalon, Guzzlord ex, and many more will surely enhance your competitive decks. Not only that, certain Ultra Beast Pokemons will add extra strategic depth to your card combination as these are comparatively new than the pre-existing ones. For example: Nihilego boasts the ability to increase poison damage, which can be lethal in battles. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Another reason players should open the Extradimensional Crisis pack is because it has the potential to become the meta in Pokemon TCG Pocket. Currently the Giratina Ex and Darkrai Ex combo is the meta in the game. However, a combo like Poison Synergy which consists of Nihilego, Toxicroak, and Cyrus (Trainer Card) can replace the current meta as well. On the other hand, if you use Ultra Necrozma ex, Dawn (Trainer Card), and Magnezone, then you can use the Energy Acceleration synergy to make the Dragon type Pokemon blow huge damage.
