Remember to put your trash and recyclables to the curb because collection crews will still be working an uninterrupted collection schedule. Notably, downtown on-street and lot parking will be free on Canada Day, as it is for all statutory holidays. Just keep in mind that a digital waterfront permit is required for specific waterfront areas. As residents light up the night sky with fireworks, the city reminds everyone that fireworks are permitted until 11 pm on July 1, as per the Noise By-law. The City also encourages brushing up on safety reminders before setting off those sparklers.
