DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — After the damaging remnants of Hurricane Helene destroyed its iconic marquee signage, a local drive-in theater will soon reopen to the public.

The Dixie Twin Drive-In's longstanding theater marquee was destroyed on Sept. 27, 2024, by Helene's strong winds.
Fast forward a day over six months and the theater will host its 2025 soft grand opening. The soft grand opening is scheduled to take place between March 28th and the 30th.
The drive-in theater will be screening the Academy-Award nominated films 'Wicked' and 'The Substance,' beginning Friday.
On Sunday, the theater will operate on behalf of the Paris Flea Market.
The theater will have its official grand opening between April 4 and 6. This is the theater's 69th year of operation.
As far as a new sign is concerned, Victor Bonacore, the theater's new manager, said on Living Dayton Tuesday that the sign should arrive in Mid-April.
