Fears Met Gala could be gate crashed by Kanye West spark drastic new security rules

Daily Mirror06-05-2025

Kanye West has reportedly sparked a security panic at the Met Gala 2025, with Anna Wintour said to be enforcing strict new protocols in case the rapper attempts to gatecrash the event
Met Gala 2025 could be heading for a storm, but it's not the fashion causing a stir. It is being reported that Anna Wintour has beefed up security at the Met over concerns that Kanye West might crash the star-studded high-fashion bash uninvited.
Insiders speaking to RadarOnline suggested: " Anna is not messing around. There's a full protocol in place if Kanye is spotted anywhere near the carpet."

This drastic step follows Ye's posting of a deeply unsettling drawing suggesting he would show up in a KKK-inspired getup.

The sketch, uploaded to his X profile, depicted a figure topped with a hood akin to those worn by the racist Ku Klux Klan, complete with boots and gloves.
West labelled his artwork "MET BALL 2025," and sparked a large backlash, with his fans vehemently criticising the creation, comparing it to the similar get-up he wore during an interview with DJ Akademiks.
Immediate outrage ensued, leaving Met Gala officials worried the artist might craft another headline-worthy fiasco on their night. A top fashion security expert cautioned the outlet: "It's not just about the outfit – it's about the chaos he brings. After what happened at the Grammys, no one's taking chances."
Other reports in the States indicate that Kim Kardashian is feeling tense about possibly bumping into her ex-husband, Kanye, at the event.
A source connected to the reality star and Skims founder told RadarOnline: "Kim is focused on her look and her brand. The last thing she wants is Kanye pulling a stunt and hijacking the night."

While there's no formal ban against West, his potential presence is reportedly sparking stress behind the scenes.
Insiders claim Wintour has requested a comprehensive strategy in case the hip-hop star shows up near the glam gala.
An informant noted: "If he shows up, there's a plan. Anna has made it clear – no drama on her carpet." The Met Gala, an event synonymous with Wintour's leadership, is notorious for its ritzy attendees and fashion extravaganzas.
Taking place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the soirée usually hosts about 450 distinguished guests, from entertainment elite to political heavyweights.
This year's motif is titled Superfine—Tailoring Black Style, and Wintour will co-chair the 2025 event alongside stars such as Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams.

Khaby Lame detained by ICE: TikTok star has left the US

Born in Senegal, Lame is now a citizen of Italy, where he has spent the majority of his life. Entering the U.S. on April 30, Lame "overstayed the terms of his visa," according to ICE, and was granted voluntary departure once detained. Online, young female OnlyFans stars make their lives look aspirational. Is it problematic? Why is Khaby Lame famous? The 25-year-old content creator has one of the most recognizable faces on the internet. Rising to fame during the pandemic, after being laid off from his factory job in Italy in March of 2020, Lame's signature video style involves him following along as another creator demonstrates a complicated life hack, then completing the task himself with ease, often wordlessly, and shooting a knowing look at the camera. Using the hashtag "learnfromkhaby" on many of his videos, Lame's fame is more akin to the internet stardom of yore, in which an exasperated look or a quick humorous bit, stripped of any high production value or product placement, could take off on Vine. Lame attended the 2025 Met Gala in May, celebrating the theme of Black dandyism in style with a bespoke gray zoot suit-style ensemble. Beyond internet stardom, he is also an ambassador for men's clothing house Boss, Blockchain platform Binance and Unicef, a humanitarian aid organization. The biggest moments from the 2025 Met Gala: Rihanna, Diana Ross, more red carpet highlights Lame's detainment comes amid a larger immigration crackdown spearheaded by President Donald Trump. Following through on a campaign promise for mass deportations, under Trump's advisement, ICE launched raids across the country, from classrooms to workplaces to airports. The move has been met with some resistance among the general public and the courts, who argue that some of the deportations have robbed people of due process and that, in the case of separated families, they embody a cruelty discordant with America's values.

Kim Kardashian accidentally reveals something very strange inside her $60M mansion

Kim Kardashian shared several new images to Instagram on Sunday that were taken inside her $60M Hidden Hills, California mansion. The ex-wife of Kanye West had on no makeup as she tried on new SKIMS designs. 'Love finding closet pics in my phone,' the The Kardashians star wrote in her caption. The snaps looked benign at first, but on closer inspection, one single portrait stood out. But it was not because of what Kim looked like, but rather what her surroundings were like. In one of the photos the 44-year-old reality TV star accidentally revealed a strange thing in a bathroom as she wore a NY Yankees cap and had on a tank top with sweatpants. It was behind her as the mother-of-four was being tended to by a tattooed stylist wit fingerless gloves on. Can you tell what it is? Hint, it is on the left. It's a very large window inside her shower. That means that when the law school graduate strips off her clothing to wash up in the shower, the outside world can see her nude form. The window hits at the hip level, so plenty could be seen. Smarty, there is a tree outside her window which can keep prying eyes out as long as a drone doesn't fly by. It also helps that she has a gated property with plenty of security to keep anyone from looking into her shower. Still, most people would not have been comfortable with a window in a shower that has no drapes or blinds. There doesn't seem to be a tint on the window either, though knowing Kim, she may be able to hit a button that makes the window turn foggy. Even with the large window, the bathroom is a dream as it is large and a nice neutral tone. In the past, Kim has been knocked for the sink-free island in her bathroom. Years ago she shared a photo of the island and fans flipped that there was a faucet but no sink. Turns out there is a sink on the island but because the tone is a nude color, it was hard to see any depth. There is also a large bathtub and a huge mirror in her bathroom. These photos have been shared after Kim had a dramatic May that forced her to show up at the Paris robbery trial. Kardashian said she 'will never forget what happened' to her during the Paris robbery. After eight people were found guilty by a Paris court of crimes connected to the gunpoint robbery of Kim in 2016, she said she is 'deeply grateful to the French authorities for pursuing justice in this case'. Kim added in a statement to PEOPLE: 'The crime was the most terrifying experience of my life, leaving a lasting impact on me and my family. While I'll never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and accountability and pray for healing for all. I remain committed to advocating for justice, and promoting a fair legal system.' Her attorneys Michael Rhodes, Léonor Hennerick and Jonathan Mattou added in their own statement that Kim 'appreciates the Court's decision and once again thanks the French authorities for treating her with great respect throughout the process'. They went on: 'It has been a long journey from that terrible night back in 2016 to her standing courageously in a historic Paris courtroom to confront these criminals. It is also hard to tell what this silver box is between two pairs of gladiator heels Kim sat for this portrait as she wore a suede jacket and long skirt 'She looks forward to putting this tragic episode behind her, as she continues working to improve the criminal justice system on behalf of victims, the innocent, and the incarcerated seeking to redeem themselves.' The eight suspects who were found guilty will all walk free due to the fact that they have served time previously. According to CNN, Judge David De Pas called the sentences 'quite lenient'.
