Tight End University is in full swing in Nashville.
TEU, founded by tight ends George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and former Miami Hurricanes tight end Greg Olsen, is a three-day program for NFL tight ends to bond, learn and collaborate before the NFL season starts in September.

The week kicked off Monday night with a welcome gala attended by many of the tight ends and their partners. Grammy-winning singer and Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, even made an appearance.
Then on Tuesday evening, TEU hosted a benefit concert at the Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, headlined by country star Kane Brown. It was the only event open to the public. To the crowd's surprise, Swift delivered an impromptu performance of her 2014 hit, 'Shake It Off.'

On Thursday, co-hosts of sports podcast "Bussin' With The Boys," former NFL players Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, attended a practice and asked various tight ends their favorite Taylor Swift song. The street interview was posted on Instagram and quickly spread around the Internet.

When Kittle was asked his favorite Swift song, he quickly responded with Swift's 2008 hit song "Love Story," calling the tune "incredible."
Lewan, the person who asked Kittle, spoke the first line of the tune — "we were both young, when I first saw you" — prompting a dramatic sigh from Kittle.
This isn't the first time Kittle praised Swift this week. On Wednesday, a video of the tight end discussing Swift and her last-minute performance was posted by @swifferupdates, a popular Swift fan account on X. The video made its way around the Internet.
"Taylor couldn't have been kinder, more nice. She was like 'I think it might be fun to go sing 'Shake It Off' and we were like, 'it would be amazing,'" Kittle recalled. "She was fantastic! From a video, there were a thousand people. That was the loudest thousand people I've ever heard in my life."

Today marks the final day of TEU, a clear sign that the NFL season is just around the corner.

Fans Are All Saying The Same Thing After Todd Bowles' Contract Extension

Fans Are All Saying The Same Thing After Todd Bowles' Contract Extension originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced contract extensions Thursday morning for both general manager Jason Licht and head coach Todd Bowles. This comes on the heels of another successful year for the franchise. Advertisement Over the course of the last year, the Bucs have navigated multiple major coaching staff changes, maintained key veterans through free agency, drafted immediate contributors across the roster, and won the NFC South for a fourth straight season. Much of that credit belongs to both Bowles and Licht. Licht has been with the team since 201,4 and his track record made this an obvious move for the franchise. Alternatively, Bowles' future was not as secure with some questions about what any potential setbacks could mean for his future. Instead, the Bucs have taken a firm stance on how they view their head coach and his value for the coming years. The records have not been gaudy, but Bowles has kept the Bucs atop their division since taking over in 2022 and increased the team's win total by one each season. Last year, that success came despite having his roster ravaged with injury before spiriting wins in six of Tampa Bay's final seven games. Bowles' ability to navigate this adversity and keep the Bucs in the mix has been admirable. Advertisement However, this extension does come with an expectation for some changes over the next few years. The Bucs have invested heavily in their offense, signing Mike Evans and Chris Godwin to contract extensions each of the last two offseasons and re-signing Baker Mayfield a year ago. Defensively, they inked Antoine Winfield Jr. to an extension last year and have made a win-now gamble in signing pass rusher Haason Reddick a few months ago. Tampa Bay knows they have a window to capitalize on with this core. They have been a playoff participant thus far under Bowles; now, the goal is to transcend that status to become a firm contender within the conference. Especially last season, the Bucs showed flashes, notching wins against the best teams in the NFC. Moving forward, Bowles is tasked with putting it all together, allowing the Bucs to take that next step. Advertisement A loaded conference of established contenders makes that a daunting challenge, but the Bucs are counting on Bowles to be the guy who can bring them back to the top. Buccaneers Insider Praises New Defender

Buccaneers Insider Praises New Defender originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed veteran free agent pass rusher Haason Reddick to a one-year deal early this offseason, and it brought mixed reviews. Advertisement Reddick spent one season with the New York Jets after a trade from the Philadelphia Eagles. He sat out the offseason and the first seven games of the year in protest of a trade he did not want, then proceeded to register just one sack in his next 10 games. That caused a lot of people to label Reddick as a problem. That has gone away a bit after he endeared himself to the fan base during his introductory presser. And The Athletic's Dan Pompei has praised the former Temple Owls defender since he's arrived. "Haason Reddick had only one sack last season and skipped some offseason workouts, which led to uncertainty about his ability to impact the defense," Pompei wrote. "But Reddick's presence at minicamp was powerful. Reddick, who had 50 1/2 sacks between 2020 and 2023, hasn't forgotten how to get to the quarterback, even though he had an awful 2024 with the Jets. At 30, he appears to be in his athletic prime and is at the point in his life when knowledge and ability are intersecting quite nicely. "Reddick also has been sharing his wisdom with younger Bucs pass rushers, but the way he can help them most is by attracting blockers. The expectation on this team is Reddick will have a productive season and help teammates do the same." Advertisement At the time of his signing, Reddick issued a statement to Bucs fans at his press conference, and it went over well. "I'm excited. I'm excited to be here. I'm excited to be in front of the crowd. If anything, I can't wait to get in front of the Krewe," Reddick said. "I want to hear the cannon go off a lot this year. So, very excited. Hope the fans, hope the Krewe is excited as well. Looking forward to making this a great fit here." Reddick is here. Reddick wants to be here. And that should be enough. Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield Finally Has Top-10 Billing In 2025

Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield Finally Has Top-10 Billing In 2025 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield has finally found a place to call home, and his play over the past two seasons has reflected that. Advertisement Multiple Pro Bowls and division titles, and he is coming off a 2024 season in which he threw for 4,500 yards and 41 touchdowns, both career highs. That is a far cry from his form earlier in his career, and one could say the turnaround is nearly complete. But for some, they are waiting for Baker to revert to the gunslinging, mistake-prone quarterback he once was. Yes, the interceptions are still there, but there's no denying Mayfield has morphed into a more than competent quarterback since moving to Tampa. And now we have another feather in Mayfield's cap, one that not many have noticed. CBS Sports' Pete Prisco recently named his top 100 players in the NFL, with Mayfield coming in at No. 57. Advertisement Ok, that isn't the headline. But this is. Out of the 11 quarterbacks Prisco named, Mayfield is listed as the eighth-best with Jalen Hurts (52), Justin Herbert (49), Jayden Daniels (33), Joe Burrow (7), Lamar Jackson (6), Josh Allen (4) and Patrick Mahomes (1) ahead of him. Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (6).Kim Klement Neitzel-Imagn Images Mayfield a top-10 quarterback? Right now, coming off his 2024 season? Yeah, we'll buy that. Now, this list is subjective, and some might have Jared Goff (77) or Jordan Love (92) ahead of him (not Dak Prescott, No. 90, due to his injury), but Mayfield seems to be getting the plaudits that his play has deserved. Of course, he will be one of the most-watched quarterbacks in 2025, with many anticipating what they believe will be the inevitable decline. Advertisement It hasn't happened yet, and Mayfield as a top-10 quarterback is quite the conversation starter. Related: Can Buccaneers' Todd Bowles' 'Hot Streak' Continue?
