A Night Worthy of the Occasion
Seats were filled hours before the show, with the fresh sea breeze carrying an air of anticipation. Ministers, business leaders, and a glittering lineup of film and music stars gathered to witness a performance that fused creativity, elegance, and flawless execution.
Exclusive Live Premieres from HJ2025
Opening the evening with a heartfelt greeting to his Egyptian audience, Al Jassmi said: 'Good evening… I'm happy to be with you. Your presence is the meaning of this night… let's make it a beautiful memory we live together.'
He went on to thank Hyde Park and Roznama for their invitation and impeccable organization, before thrilling the audience with the first-ever live performances of songs from his new album HJ2025, which is being released at a pace of two tracks per week. Highlights included 'Mestannak' and 'Ana Wel Qamar', both sung passionately by the audience despite their recent release.
A Romantic Highlight on Stage
The atmosphere turned cinematic during 'Fostanek El Abyad' ('Your White Dress'), when actress Laila Ahmed Zaher joined Al Jassmi on stage alongside her husband, artist Hesham Gamal, who serenaded her with a heartfelt live verse — drawing warm applause and emotional cheers from the crowd.
Special Memories and Egyptian Presence
The night also featured the live performance of 'El Farq Kbeer' ('The Difference is Big'), a Ramadan hit in collaboration with Hyde Park, rekindling memories of its wide-reaching success.
A Grand Finale with Star Guests
Egyptian star Ahmed Saad and the dynamic electronic music group Disco Misr joined Al Jassmi on stage, adding an energetic twist to the night's finale. As the crowd chanted for more, Al Jassmi smiled and replied warmly: 'Of course… you can't say no to an Egyptian.'
A Summer Night to Remember
With this record-breaking concert, Hussain Al Jassmi reaffirmed his place among the Arab world's most influential musical icons — proving that his performances are not just concerts, but extraordinary cultural moments that unite hearts, celebrate art, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Folktales come alive at Al Rawi Summer Camp
From storytelling corners to hands-on workshops, children explore a world rich with creativity, culture, and self-expression. With every paintbrush stroke and handwoven craft, they connect to their roots and discover new talents. Interactive workshops that spark curiosity The camp features a wide variety of activities, including: Handicrafts Corner: where fabric and thread are transformed into traditional Emirati patterns and designs. Fine Arts Section: full of color, encouraging artistic expression through drawing and painting. Recycling and Model-Making: teaching sustainability alongside creativity. Each workshop is designed to foster imagination and preserve cultural heritage, offering children a playful yet educational experience. Travelling through time and tales One of the highlights is the Ibn Battuta storytelling session, where children journey with the famous explorer through cities and seas. This leads into the "Design Your Travel Booklet" activity, allowing them to become storytellers themselves. Workshops like "Hourglass," where they learn ancient timekeeping methods, and "Dhow Painting," celebrating maritime heritage, feed the spirit of discovery and deepen their appreciation for history. Leadership praises the children's enthusiasm His Excellency Dr Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, praised the enthusiastic participation in the camp's fourth edition. He emphasized that the high engagement reflects the success of the Institute's modern approach to reviving oral storytelling traditions and encouraging youthful creativity. 'The Al Rawi Summer Camp reflects our ongoing commitment to cultivating children's talent, connecting them to their heritage, and using engaging, contemporary tools to make tradition come alive,' said Dr. Al Musallam. Creating tomorrow's storytellers Aisha Al-Hussan Al Shamsi, Director of the Arab Heritage Centre, described the camp as: 'An open workshop for creativity. Here, we create young storytellers. Every workshop, every activity, and every child's laughter is a step toward a generation that understands its heritage and expresses it in today's language.' Looking ahead: Explorer medals and big dreams As the camp nears its conclusion on August 14, children are preparing to receive the coveted "Explorer Medal"—a symbol of a summer filled with stories, adventure, and self-expression. This medal serves not just as a keepsake, but as a reminder of their potential to become future storytellers who carry the UAE's cultural heritage to the world.

Emirati artists to reflect on heritage in the second Dhai Dubai light art festival
Seven Emirati artists from across three generations will take part in the second Dhai Dubai. The light art festival will return to Expo City Dubai, taking place at Al Wasl Plaza from November 12 to 18. The event, which provides Emirati artists a platform to reinterpret their heritage through bold, light-based artworks, is the result of a partnership between Expo City Dubai and Dubai Culture. Fatma Lootah, Mohammed Kazem, Khalid AlBanna, Alia Bin Omair, AlZaina Lootah, Ahmed Al Areef Al Dhaheri and Hessa Alghandi are the artists who have been commissioned to create new works for the festival. Building upon last year's inaugural event, the second Dhai Dubai will also feature artist talks and public dialogues at the House of Arts, a new venue at Expo City Dubai dedicated to cultural expression. 'Dhai Dubai, through its varied experiences and interactive programming, reflects the depth of our partnership with Expo City Dubai,' said Shaima Rashed Al Suwaidi, chief executive of the arts, design and literature sector at Dubai Culture. 'It also highlights our ongoing efforts to boost cultural tourism and support the cultural and creative industries by encouraging artists to present works that embody the values and spirit of the emirate.' Al Suwaidi also added that the event demonstrates 'the forward-thinking approach of Emirati talent, whose work keeps pace with global trends in contemporary art". Amna Abulhoul, co-curator of Dhai Dubai and executive creative director of entertainment and experiences at Expo City Dubai, said the light art festival is 'is the spirit of Dubai made visible". The event, she said, shows how the emirate is 'a place where past and future interwind together in brilliance, where art becomes a bridge and where artistic dreams are given space and light to grow". 'Having the support of Dubai Culture is both a privilege and a powerful affirmation of our collective commitment to the creative community,' Abulhoul said. 'It reinforces our mission to empower artists, preserve our stories and ensure that platforms like Dhai Dubai continue to thrive and inspire. Through the voices and visions of our artists, we are not only illuminating Emirati identity, but also offering the world a window into the soul of a nation.'
