MANE ATTRACTION Wayne Bridge 'buzzing' after £7k hair transplant as he shows off incredible transformation
WAYNE Bridge says he's "buzzing" after a £7,000 hair transplant fixed his thinning scalp.
The 44-year-old former England footballer underwent the procedure with the full support of his wife Frankie, 36, who loves his new look.

Ex-Man City and Chelsea fullback Bridge had been losing his hair right across his scalp for around 10 years.
By the time of his transplant last September his hair was sparse and he was always trying to hide his baldness.
He explained: 'I used to move it around to cover it up. I didn't get a lot of banter about it from mates because I was so good at hiding it.
'I work in the media and knew that I would really benefit from getting it sorted. You feel so much more confident when your hair looks good."
Bridge - who won 36 England caps before retiring in 2014 - had 4,085 hairs implanted into the thinning areas of his scalp using the advanced Direct Hair Implantation technique.
He said: 'It's like I have got a full head of hair again and the transformation is pretty unbelievable.
'When I look at the before and after pictures it is pretty amazing and it has done so much for my self-confidence.'
Bridge added: 'It is so much thicker now and it takes me no time to get it sorted out. I jump out of the shower, use a bit of product and then I am out. I'm buzzing and it means I can wear my hair a lot shorter now. Lots of people who are thinning have asked me where I got it done and want to do the same.
'Before I was always conscious of how my hair looked and it used to take me a lot longer to get ready.'
Bridge's wife Frankie - the former Saturdays singer turned TV presenter and podcaster - was fully supportive of his decision.

'So many men are getting help with their hair and it is really no big deal,' he said.
'I told Frankie what I was doing and she was really supportive. She said 'go for it' and supports anything that makes me feel better about myself.'
Bridge, who had the procedure at DHI Global Clinic in central London, insistent that he had the surgery in the UK.
He said: 'I had the surgery in the morning and was back home later that day. I was so chilled during the surgery that I fell asleep.
'There was no swelling and I chilled for a couple of days at home while I recovered.
'After that, I was back to my normal routine of doing media work and looking after the family.
I wish I had got it done earlier in my hair loss because I feel so much better about myself

'I could see the benefits straight away, though it was not obvious to anyone who didn't know me that I had had a hair transplant.
'It takes up to a year for all the new hair to fully grow back but, after nine months, my hair is as good as new and it will continue to grow back for a further three months and look even better. I wish I had got it done earlier in my hair loss because I feel so much better about myself.
'Women benefit from cosmetic procedures all the time. The nice thing about footballers such as Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand going public about their procedures is that men can see it is no big deal and they can do simple things to benefit their appearance too.'
Since retiring in 2014, he has starred on I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and he won the first series of Channel 4's SAS: Who Dares Wins six years ago after trekking through a glacier in Chile.
Bridge, who now hosts The Dressing Room podcast with ex-England stars Joe Cole and Carlton Cole, said he chose DHI Global for his hair transplant after it was recommended by a celebrity friend.
He said: 'I bumped into him at a wedding and his hair looked great. He explained that he had gone to DHI because the treatment is so discreet and no one knows you have had it done until all the hair has grown back.

'I wanted the very best treatment in the world with the shortest down-time and that was always going to be DHI.
'You read about patients going abroad for hair transplants but that was never going to be an option for me.
'The best clinics in the world are here and it is reassuring to know that the team is in central London for the aftercare. Who wants to jump on a flight to check on their hair if something goes wrong?'
With DHI no holes are made for the implanting of the new hairs - instead they are directly implanted.
All DHI procedures are performed by doctors, who are trained and certified by London Hair Restoration Academy, the first Academy for hair transplants.
A DHI Global spokesperson said: 'We increased the density in Wayne's hair on his hairline and the top of his scalp. We have filled in the gaps to make him look younger and improve his body confidence.
'We treat a lot of high profile patients such as Wayne who love to stay fit and look good. We are delighted that he is so happy with the results.'
As well as Bridge, DHI also worked with former England cricketer Phil Tufnell.

Phil Tufnell gives honest five-word response when asked about Question of Sport axe

Phil Tufnell gives honest five-word response when asked about Question of Sport axe EXCLUSIVE: Phil Tufnell was a staple figure on British television throughout his time on A Question of Sport up until the day the BBC shook up the show Phil Tufnell was on A Question of Sport for 13 years (Image: PA ) Phil Tufnell has admitted that he was not surprised when the BBC decided to part with himself, Sue Barker and Matt Dawson on A Question of Sport. Tufnell, 59, had been a team captain on the panel show since 2007 until he was let go by the BBC as part of a reshuffle in 2020. The England cricket legend was one of the most recognisable figures on the show, until he made way for Paddy McGuinness, hockey star Sam Quek and rugby ace Ugo Monye. ‌ When the new format of the show was shelved in 2023, ex-BBC Football Focus presenter Dan Walker suggested the Beeb may have, "alienated their core audience while searching for a new one" when they decided to axe Tufnell and his show mates. Barker was also upset with the way the decision was handled. ‌ Tufnell held no resentment when he was informed about his departure. Speaking at the launch of The Overlap and Betfair's Stick to Cricket show, Tufnell looked back on the decision and said: "You can't do things forever." He added: " They had been talking about it and what have you. I wasn't really involved in it. We'd all been doing it for a while. Well, more than a while, around 13 or 14 years I'd been captain. "You can't do things forever. They fancied a bit of a refresh. We were just sort of like, 'Okay, well, there you go. Thanks very much for the memories. I thoroughly enjoyed every single show. Loved every minute of it.' Article continues below "Now we're doing the theatre show. It's not called a Question of Sport, of course. We're all good friends, all got a very similar sense of humour. We all get on very well, so it's great to be back recreating it a little bit. Tufnell had been on the show for 13 years when he was told he would be leaving in 2020 (Image: BBC ) "Obviously, you think to yourself, 'Oh crikey' but we wished everyone the best. It was part of our lives.' ‌ In a statement released at the time, the BBC said: "We would like to thank Sue for her enormous contribution as the show's longest reigning host over the last 24 years, and Matt and Phil for their excellent team captaincy over 16 and 12 years respectively. "Together they have ensured A Question of Sport remains a firm favourite with the BBC One audience. Sue, Matt and Phil's final series will be broadcast next year." Tufnell will be a guest on the Stick to Cricket podcast, which launches very soon (Image: Betfair/Stick to Cricket podcast ) ‌ When the show was shelved in 2023, a BBC spokesman appeared to leave the door ajar for a future reboot, claiming the decision was, "not the final whistle." When asked if he thinks the show may return in the future, potentially with himself, Barker and Dawson's involvement, Tufnell added: " I hope it does come back. "It was part of my childhood. It had been going for 55 years, a long time. I loved the show when I was on it and I loved it as a boy. It was one of those little half an hours that you sat round with your family. "Hopefully, it comes back. I'd be delighted to sit down and watch it. Whether we do it again, I'm not so sure. But, we've had our time haven't we?" Article continues below Betfair are set for a big summer and winter of cricket, launching a new show with The Overlap: Stick to Cricket. Don't miss the first episode next week, where the team will be reviewing the opening test of the series between England and India.

Danny Dyer's awkward jeans encounter 'helped him kick drug habit'

The ex-EastEnders star, who has been open about his addiction in the past, shared the pivotal moment that made him go clean for good Former EastEnders star Danny Dyer has openly discussed the moment he knew he had to give up drugs, which involved a confusing encounter with his trousers after a heavy night. Danny, who has previously spoken about his battles with substance misuse, shared on The Louis Theroux Podcast the incident following a party at the National Television Awards (NTAs), in which he found himself perplexed by his jeans. ‌ He recalled: "I just could not work out how to get my jeans on. I was just sitting on my ensuite toilet trying to work out what leg goes in what. ‌ "I've sort of had many of them moments over the years, of me being completely off my head. But that one really resonated with me. It was more because I looked up, my wife was just watching me and she looked shattered and she looked ill." Acknowledging the toll his addiction took on his family, Danny expressed a grave realisation about his destructive behaviour: "It was just this moment, I thought, 'S**t, you're going to die. "You're going to kill yourself. You're not happy. You're spanking all your money on drugs. You're destroying everything around you'. "It's weird that moment because I went straight to work [on EastEnders] that day and I was a bit off my head and I did say, 'Listen, I need to... I need help. I can't do this any more. I need help." In March, Danny candidly shared his struggles with substance abuse in an interview with The Guardian, crediting his role as a devoted family man for aiding his recovery. He remarked at the time: "Listen, I've had my issues with it. As a grandfather, it's not my thing. I've certainly been to plenty of parties and I've lived a life. I've got to a point where I've got rid of all my vices." ‌ While on the podcast, the actor – currently busy with the second series of the acclaimed drama Rivals – expressed frustration over his experiences trying to make it in Hollywood. According to Wales Online, he was particularly irked by being pressured to adopt an American accent, which often resulted in him being mistaken for an Australian. "They wanted me to live there for six months, and I had small children and I hated the fact that they wanted me to speak American all the time, which is what you're meant to do out there," he further explained. Moreover, he confided in Louis his immense pride in his latest solo project, Three Quick Breaths, drawing parallels to a personal acting milestone, saying: "We shot it in 10 days in Dublin and I had to learn 15 pages a day. "Maybe this was my Hamlet, maybe that narcissist in me thought, can I be the only one in a film? I watched it and I'm really proud of it." The Louis Theroux Podcast is available on Spotify and all podcast platforms.
