Gavin and Stacey star Ruth Jones splits with husband
Ruth Jones, known for her role as Nessa on the popular BBC show, has said she and her producer husband David Peet have legally separated.
Jones, who co-created Gavin and Stacey with friend James Corden, married in 1999.
Despite the split, they "remain good friends", the couple said in a statement.

The couple told the PA news agency: 'We amicably went our separate ways 18 months ago and are now legally separated. We remain good friends.
'Since our separation, Ruth is living in London and David is living in Canada, where he is in a new relationship.'
Jones married Peet, a television and radio producer, in 1999.
She is a stepmother to three children from his previous marriage.
The Mirror reported that the pair met when she was working on a BBC Radio Wales series.
Ruth Jones rose to fame as the co-writer and star of Gavin and Stacey.
The BBC sitcom first aired in 2007 and tells the story of two families from Billericay in Essex and Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales.
Jones played Vanessa 'Nessa' Jenkins in three series and three Christmas specials.
The show's finale episode, which aired on Christmas Day last year, saw Jones's character Nessa marry Neil 'Smithy' Smith, played by fellow co-writer and close friend James Corden.
At this year's TV Baftas, Jones won the best female performance in a comedy for her role in Gavin and Stacey.
Jones has also appeared in ITV drama Fat Friends, BBC sketch show Little Britain, BBC sitcom Saxondale, and BBC black comedy Nighty Night.
Other roles include playing Carry On star Hattie Jacques in a BBC biopic.
In 2014, Jones was made a Member Of The Order Of The British Empire (MBE) in the New Year Honours for her services to entertainment.
It was recently revealed that Jones has landed a role in a new BBC Drama series, which is currently being filmed in Wales.

Jones will play Mrs Bennet in an adaptation of Janice Hadlow's novel The Other Bennet Sister for BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
She will be joined in the series by the likes of Richard E. Grant (Saltburn, Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker, Loki), Indira Varma (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luther, The Night Manager) and Ella Bruccoleri (Call the Midwife, Bridgerton).

The insider claimed: "Harry is completely heartbroken. His dad refuses to see him or the kids - not even on Zoom... It's a last resort. He's desperately hoping the King might see a picture of Archie or Lilibet and realise what he's missing." According to the source, Harry made several attempts to reach out to Charles over the years, including calls and letters, however "nothing's worked." The claims come week after Harry, who moved to California in 2020, said during an interview with the BBC that he still hopes for a "reconciliation" with his family back in the UK. He said: "Of course, some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book. Of course, they will never forgive me for lots of things. But you know, I would love reconciliation with my family. I've always, there's no point in continuing to fight anymore." Harry added: "And I said, life is precious. I don't know how much longer my father has he, he won't speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile." Wincey Willis dead aged 76: ITV's first female weather presenter and GMB icon passes away after health battle

Russell T Davies confirms Doctor Who's future is secure, teases Billie Piper's role and upcoming spin-off
Doctor Who has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, with some fans suggesting that the show could be coming to an end - but Russell T Davies has now quashed those rumours. Doctor Who fans have been left in suspense, awaiting news on the future of the show following Ncuti Gatwa's exit from the sci-fi series. The last glimpse we had of the series showed Billie Piper seemingly stepping up to become the next Doctor. However the outcome of that regeneration is still unknown. While some have speculated that the show could be winding down, Russell T Davies has since binned those rumours and declared that the show will never come to an end. In this week's issue of Doctor Who magazine, Davies penned: "No, not the end, don't be mad. Doctor Who will never end! "There are pathways leading to potential futures – we've still got the mystery of that bright and blazing ending, 'Oh, hello,' yes indeed, hello Billie! And there's Susan, of course." He continued: "I wonder if we'll ever find out who the Boss is. Or who the Boss are. (I'm still wondering who Gus is, from Mummy on the Orient Express. Maybe they're the same! "But we don't know what's happening yet, and while everyone works that out, I'll take a pause on this page ... Hopefully, we'll have news soon, and certainly, The War Between the Land and the Sea is about to break out, so there are great things ahead. Until then." As Davies points out, the Doctor Who spin-off The War Between the Land and the Sea is coming, but as for Doctor Who's future, that remains uncertain as reported by the Radio Times. Russell Davies had earlier expressed his optimism about Doctor Who's future, stating that even if the show goes on a break, he has faith that it will ultimately return. In an interview with Newsround, Davies said: "I kind of know that the Doctor's reached the status of, like, Robin Hood. Sometimes there might be a pause, and during that pause, the viewers of Newsround now will grow up a few years and start writing stories and they'll bring it back." He added, "So I have absolute faith that that will survive because I am living proof of it and that's what happens to good ideas. No good idea ever dies." Meanwhile, the BBC had previously denied claims that the show was being "shelved", saying the decision on the next series would be made following the airing of the current series. The corporation stated that the Disney+ deal included 26 episodes, with half still to be broadcast.
